I'd love to build this fire engine!!! As a firefighter for almost 20 years and a avid lego fan this has really caught my eye and I don't care how much it would cost to build!!!!
The fire engine was available at bricklink in 2019 (AFOL designer proram), perhaps you can grab it on the second market. It is a great model! I added a steering, looks perfect.
Hey Boone my question is… actually that answered everything I needed to know perfectly after the beginner one, like exactly. Thank you so much, finally I’m off to the races and excited to get my mocs saved. Such super nice tutorials.
Boone- all I can say is "Thanks". Thanks for taking the time to help newbies like me learn about this cool application. I'm super excited to start building!!!!!!!!!!!
This is my second video of your to watch, the first being tips and tricks. Phenomenal job. The speed at which you present and the annunciation is excellent. On this video, you covered how to update preferences which I had already set but what I didn't realize until watching your video is there is a shortcut section! While you didn't necessarily cover it, you showed it and that's exactly what I needed. I was disappointed the G key didn't activate the paint roller like it does in Photoshop and other graphic programs... After modifying my shortcut, now it does. I cannot believe how good this software is. But back to the point, you videos are outstanding.
Thank you very much! I work for LEGO now, so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to make more of these or not… but I’m glad the ones I made are helping people! Shortcuts are definitely a great topic and I’m glad you found a way to improve your work flow 😊 thanks for watching!
@@BooneBuilds I hope they have you doing something in design! I'm not creative enough to work for a company like Lego... well, I could probably drive a delivery truck. :D
The explainers on the select tool alone are hugely helpful, I've been trying to figure out a way to do it by color or connected and this was exactly what I needed. Surprised that's not in the basic tutorial built in actually. Thank you!
This is such a great video--beautfiully edited, succinct and yet very thorough! I have used Studio for dozens (possibly hundreds?) of hours and I learned a ton just from the first tip. So helpful! Boone's Studio instruction video is also excellent.
These are such great videos; very well edited and informative. One thing I figured out when using the Snap function: if you're still having trouble getting it to place where you want, set the part or submodel off to the side and release it, then when you highlight it again, have your cursor at your desired connection point (on the piece/submodel) as you begin to move it and you can carry that connection point right to the location that you're connecting it to ... it gives you much more control of the placement ... I hope that makes sense. On the Copy & Mirror function, what I've noticed is that it always places the mirrored version immediately to the "right" of the piece you're copying, whether it conflicts or not. No problem, though, just grab the mirror and place it in the desired spot. I learned about the Hide and Connect buttons watching this video; I'm excited to try both of those. Thank you so much, Boone, for sharing your knowledge. Happy building, everyone.
Great video! I have just started using studio and the tips and tricks really help. I have messed up and all of a sudden pieces are floating about the grid. Do you know what I have done and how to fix it. Also is there a back or undo command I can use if I accidently place something in the wrong place?
Hi! Thanks for the tips. It would be great if the Hide (L) button exist in Instruction place. I’m trying to create 7784’s instruction guide from the completed model. And it’s being really difficult. Transparent view is good but hide function would be great.
Great video. Is there a way to keep empty steps in the correct location for when grouping steps if there's for example a step where stickers are applied that haven't been added to Studio yet? Thanks very much.
hey boone, i dont know if you have already made a video on this subject, but can you make a video on how to make your builds look good and professional? cause my builds are.............................anyways can you make a video on that?
What is the best way to connect say a technic arm to a technic brick at an angle and get all of the involved pieces to line up correctly? Been having a really hard time getting things to line up correctly.
Great tip sin this video. That flex tool needs some work, I have spent 8 hours trying to get a chain to drop naturally without colliding with adjacent wall. I move a link of the chain up or down and it goes crazy going directions I don't want it to right through the wall.
There's a freaking copy and mirror? All this time, once I finish one leg or arm of my mech, I have to painstakingly build the other to match. Thanks so much!
Is there a way to purchase the bricks directly through the list that is in the brick link studio for the moc I create? Or would I have to manually enter them on the brink link ordering platform?
I'm using the software to help my daughter design a robot using the Spike Prime and Spike Prime Expansion kits for FLL so her team can see what she has come up with for next year's design. Is there a way to show the wires on the motors and sensors so they can deal with wire management? Keeping in mind we are dealing with 6 boys who don't take their only female teammate seriously and all but one on the team are neurodivergent, including my kid. We are attempting to herd crickets and cicadas.
So if I create a MOC with this program is there a way to order all of the individual bricks used in the model without having to go and order them part by part...
Hello Boone, I've just a concernig about the flexible parts, it seems very difficult to control the trajectory of them and in some case almost impossible!!! An example regerding be the ribbed hose, if you need linked two pins with different angular position with a hose i found it always get intersections among them! The "spline" of the trjectory doesn't consider any existing constrain and it's very difficult to control. Do u have any suggestion?
Hi, I have the Bricklink studio on my laptop but there’s something going on. I can’t put bricks on baseplates or regular plates on bricks, they’re about a centimeter apart and I can’t figure out why it’s doing that
I'm having issues to place Technic knob cogs perpendicular to each other on Studio. Does anyone has a tip to place them in an easy way with collision enabled?
Good day, I am very new to this process and in past life career, I've had lots of engineering involvement. I want to design mostly real looking aircraft. But I can't find side curve panels to start off. Landing gear for the C-5 Galaxy is an interest. Any help? Thank you
I've been using Studio for 3 weeks now and you just made it sooooo much easier
Awesome! That’s so great.
Terrific video. I have been dabbling with Studio for a couple of years now, and I still learned a lot of cool things I didn't know.
For a classic 80s Lego builder like me . .that software is a magical tool ..please continue this video tutorials its really helpful ❤

One of the most helpful and well presented tutorials I've ever watched. I had to keep pausing to take notes. Thank you.

Much appreciated! Thank you 😊
Best thing I’ve watched on RUclips all year. Thank you for saving me hundreds of hours and dollars on moc experiments.
This is one of the best tutorial video for Brickilink Studio on youtube. I have recently downloaded it.

Great video, great suggestions. Thanks Boone! You earned a subscriber!
These likely saved me HOURS if futzing around. Thank you!

Awesome video
When using Connect Tool, once you have the points selected, how do you get the item to actually move there?

Very clear explanation thanks ! Is there a way to know how much all the pieces in the build cost together ? That would be useful.
OMG sub model is maaaaaad OP’d 😅❤❤

Tutorial on how flexible pieces work?
Hey i have a problem. I have a new lenovo ideapad 3, and i cant figure out how to rotate the camera in studio. Could you help me?

In a build, is there a way to filter out bricks you have in your collection already when ordering?

I am trying to do the lego death Star Page 21 part 5 working the Hinge blocks aren't moving
I just got a question if you got part 15976 since I can't find it anywhere
How about rubbet belt?
Can I create a video ad for the company I work using studio 2.0
What to do if I need to connect two hinged parts of a ships nose? I have no idea what's the solution
I'm having issues to place Technic knob cogs perpendicular to each other on Studio. Does anyone has a tip to place them in an easy way with collision enabled?
how to make the original lego set appear assembled?
My Bricklink Studio's Insert list is enlarged and I couldn't move it or change the size so I couldn't edit my model, can someone help?

Maybe I can be of help
There's no way to have studio take an official set import and ... build it, right?
The ladder is all... One Piece???? 5:51
how do I delete projects?
how can you shape a technic chain like the one in the Pac-Man set?
Honestly, I think it would be very careful rotation and nudging of each piece.
The price of the pieces, it's always shown as updating, why?
Hi Boone! my question is are you able to rotate the internal part of the turntable without rotating the housing?
Can never get the pieces to be level
