After 20 years, I don't see any A6 all roads on roads but P2 XC70s are still very strong.
Our 1999 Audi A6 sedan is and we never kept it in a garage, and we live in a very snowy area
Very true
Answering the question at the end of the review - they are made for people who don't want to have 2 cars and need relatively modern, comfortable, spacious and good looking estate cars with reasonable consumption in every day life, but on weekends or other occasions they use dirt/bumpy roads to go to places like their favourite mountain routes, huts in the forest or they simply like the freedom of choice to take shortcuts in their country rides. These cars are a nice alternative to the more and more boring world of modern SUVs.
dont think like people think now. Its a review of 2010. The people did not need crossovers. In the present everyone wants to have one
You can buy a Volvo V90 CC which is a cross country SUV
@@terrificspokesman7416 there are quite a few options in this segment nowadays
Volvo looks classic.. not like 90% cars in the streets... I love Volvo special with 5 cylinder turbo!
Live through a Canadian winter, then you'd know why AWD in a station wagon is amazing.
Volvo xc 70 does pretty good in aSouth Dakota winter and wet spring , also.
The heated seats will toast your buns 😉
Volvo the Toyota of Sweden. Volvo is my favorite car.
Always forget how bad Men&Motors is.
Told me nothing about the cars. No engine specs, transmission, suspension setup, trim levels, engine line up, or any figures about them, cost, power, MPG or otherwise.
And at the end? Told me to buy a Land Rover Defender rot box. Instead of watching reviews like these, just go to an actual car review site who know what they're talking about, instead of hiring lackluster presenters, poor camera crews and terrible directors to tell you nothing you want to know about the cars in question.
Good job M&M. Bloody marvelous
Am I the only person who wonders why the Volvo ran the test with one of those mini doughnut spare tires on the right front? Seems like kind´ve a serious handicap.
Still it managed, go p2 Volvo
3:19 All the dirty water trough the window haha!
So many Allroad's have been scrapped or cost owners thousands in repairs to the air suspension.
NB!! Allroad is not for mongoloid!!!!!
I have a6 Allroad 4.2 from 2003 with 220t km and i still have original factory right front susp. airbag. Ill will replace both on next summet for arnott 2 gen. That should be good for 5-6 years. Car drives in Norway not Florida.
Allroad is like LX450 (had one 7 years - sold because used very little, mostly winter) with proper maintenance it goes very long (400+ th km easy!)
Because not all owners know that replacing an air pum from an Allroad only costs 450€ and 2 hour with basic tools. Rhey always get fooled into scraping their 'old cars' and buy new wannabe (FWD only...) SUV...
ill bet theres a lot less patches on the audi than the land rover today ,, mines still on its original exhaust 200 000 miles on , i doubt the land rovers even on its original chassis.
the heater works , it will cruise at 80 all day , you can hear your self talk , it starts every morning , has room for your elbows , will easily do most things a land rover will , and then take you to a wedding without looking like a tinker.
more ground clearance than a landrover too
need i keep going
hell , its even got air bags , and thats not just the ones in the suspension ,
land rovers really are not that great , once upon a time there wasnt any real alternatives to a landrover , now theres really no excuse for owning one.
0:40 nice wheel
Problem with that defender is it’ll break down before you get where you’re going🫢
Volvo 2.5 t XC 70 cross country......an old man car....in your dreams..just like the comfort.
Laughing at these cars in my 3.0 TDI pickup off-road
Also a Subaru Outback estate will eat these up, especially the old non-CVT 2005 ones, they sit way taller and their AWD system is actually useful.
These cares aren't too bad on proper terrain (not this crap) and the volvo actually has quite a sophisticated (for the time) awd system. No comparison to a purpose built offroader obviously but with a lift and larger all terrains they are very capable
that is a ALLROAD not a a6 avant as you say. That s just to know on your next review
marinel birtoc with all due respect, he was talking about what the cars were based on, the XC70 being based on the V70 II, and the A6 Allroad being based on the A6 Avant.
I agree, terrible presenter
The music at the end, anyone knows the track and artist?
They don't look 16 years old.
The Audi A6 (C5) has aged very well if you keep the headlights fresh.
Once they go foggy it does look 1.5 decades old immediately.
That's why my first car would be xc70 II
The Volvo does, the Audi doesnt
@@MycketTuff Thank god the headlights in the volvo are made of glass!
That Audi A6, especially the sedan, was probably one of the best designed cars of all time in terms of looks. I wish they would go back to it. It’s my favorite car. :(
Volvo _!!!
Seems most people think they'll do better in the snow and maybe in slightly muddy conditions. Mostly, they're raised up lux wagons.
Space saver spare, on the Volvo.
What the point is? Clearly nobody told him about Hytta på fjellet and other Scandinavian pursuits😀
What's the song playing?
This man praises Land Rover Lol , I would hesitate to take a LR or an Audi to the shops on a clear summers day , Volvo Everywhere Everytime Everyday !!!!!!
2002 pt cruiser limited edition... do that
Volvo The Best Super!!!
Volvo is very power
La distancia entre ejes y la altura al piso no les permite pasar por caminos off Road 4x4, pero si les permite pasar por caminos en mal estado. Si quieres hacer 4x4 puro lo mejor es un Jeep, o Suzuki Jimmy
Has anyone even noticed, that at 0:40 yo can see that the Volvo's front right wheel is the spare?
AUDI Allroad all the way!!!
And at 1:00 you can see it even better ...
You determine quality by a car getting a flat tire...? Audis are modern day dsm's. Fast, looks good, but shit for reliability. ✌
Getting a flat tyre doesn’t mean a car is unreliable. You know what is unrealiable? The air suspension that constantly fails in the Audi. The 2.7 v6 engine that likes to kill the turbos in the Audi. That is what is unreliable
Okay, so who wins?
The Volvo is alot more reliable than the Allroad and the V6 diesel in the Allroad is alot less reliable
They were treated like old bangers then
Volvo problem is maintenance is high
Music video not car video. Can’t hear the cars.
👎
Quattro you mean haldex which is same as volvo
I am quite shocked at just how awful this "review" is. Clueless springs to mind.
Audi WIN!!!!!!!!!!!
I disagree the Volvo XC70 became very popular and still is.
