Not many people talk about it but frieza had a crazy showing of power in this. He was able to stay golden for over an hour while getting his ass beat by someone who was beating ssb goku and vegeta.
Not to mention his transformation into his Golden form legit shocked Broly and the force of it alone pushed him back. Frieza definitely isn’t as weak as some claim he is.
Btw the soundtrack of this movie was inspired by the massive crowd reactions to the jiren fight. The music director liked the chanting of the crowd so much that they wanted to try it out.
This movie was amazing, with Broly being reworked, the whole beginning sequence with Bardock and the beautiful animation this movie has and Gogeta Blue 🔥 this was a time to be alive!

Yeah amazing animation but again story was kinda bad if we are being honest. Broly alone training with his father can reach God-levels of power before even hitting Super Saiyan. For the Bardock stuff the only bad thing was retconning Goku being naturally sent to Earth vs just being a Superman knock off. The other Bardock stuff remains though as Toyotaro confirms Bardocks Crew dying with his art and we see Bardock still confront Freiza.

Ok… Broly wasn’t just mad for “no reason.” It’s most likely that Paragus told Broly what King Vegeta did to him as a baby and how they got to that planet. Leading to Broly fighting against Vegeta. Giving the circumstances, it’s not that hard to see why Broly would be just as angry as his father was. Of course, the Vegeta we know had nothing to do with their beef since he was also a baby at that point and wouldn’t even know who they were.
What goku does at 30:00 minutes is good ole classic telekinesis, its a source move if you can use ki you can use telekinesis. hes literally sheathing brolly in god energy and locking him down so he can talk to him for a sec. General blue is the first character in the series to use it.
Broly wasn't bad or evil. He just wanted to make his dad happy. Paragus IS bad, but he still cared for Broly. When he realized Broly was up against much stronger people, he started fearing for his safety and wanted him to come back.

Also keep in mind, Broly is a special case. Despite never actually fighting stronger opponents up until this point, he still keeping up with Goku and Vegeta. The more Broly fought them and learned how to fight properly, he stronger and better he got. He’s basically similar to Frieza, who’s also a prodigy who didn’t really take any form of training serious until recently. Broly’s fighting style is more or less kind of like wrestling but the more fought and practiced, he starts to use actual martial arts moves.

Whis vs Broly is always my favorite part. I remember watching it in theaters with my brothers and the WHOLE AUDIENCE went “Oh!!!!!’” at Broly trying to fight Whis.
I really like the parallels. For example: The scene where Paragus kills Beats uses the same shots as when Freeza kills HIM. Or when Cheelai talks bad about his dad, Broly immediately gets upset. When Goku almost gets Broly to relax he says Broly doesnt have to listen to the others, that is to disobey his Dad. And thats when Broly flips out and breaks the god-bind. Stuff like that is all over this movie.
8:01 it's implied the Saiyans actually keep their kids in those pods not just as babies but for their toddler time too, letting them out when theyre old enough to walk/fight lmao
The story and ending was a million times better than the OG, and I love how they added call me Kakarot at the end for the OG. I also love that the actual only way to defeat Broly was to fuse, than the OG one that everyone who all were drained, gave Goku energy to one punch Broly. But, Broly's transformation in the OG was way better.
Frieza went to all the trouble in the world, nothing short of genocide and planetary annihilation, out of fear of the legendary super saiyan coming and wrecking his life. and then in this movie he goes and manufactures one XD

Broly has the unique Legendary Super Saiyan form. Basically Trunks bulky muscle form but Broly actually gains speed and power and doesn't lose stamina.
The power-up pose is my fave, but that Kamehameha.... thing doesn't even take form until a few meters in front of Gokuja, it's like a blow torch. Tournament of Power had some great Kamehamehas but this is my favourite by far. Sick. Thanks for reacting to this guys! Hope you do more

Most of the Saiyans were actually pretty weak. Only King Vegeta, Broly, Vegeta and a few others were strong. Frieza would’ve easily killed them in his first form even if they teamed up.

My guess is that the canon (DBS) Broly gets angry at the sight of Vegeta because he's a nearly identical image of his father who cast him and Paragus out There probably won't be any actual angel combat other than the Moro arc (which may not get animated) with Merus, because due to divine laws, angels aren't allowed to do much more than attend and train destroyers (and candidates), which is pretty stupid because they have insane divine power but they're not allowed to use it outside of specific circumstances like training and when permitted by their destroyer or higher deities
You might not have put it together but two things id like to point out. First, Frieza fought Broly for over an hour. Just a glimpse at his gains in secret Goku and Vegeta aren't aware of. Sure hope he doesn't get any stronger in the future *wink wink hint hint*. And second, Whis is so good he dodged out of the way of instant transmission when Gogeta appeared.
