    Hello! a visitor from Canada. Thanks for your video and that is so inspiring! A couple of questions:
    1. How deep did you dip?
    2. Did you apply the barrier to the bottom to prevent spreading? or you simply wrap around?
    Thanks!
    R

    I have never been brave enough to plant bamboo because I have heard that it is rampant so very interested to see if the barrier works. Thanks Mark.

      Thanks Pauline. I'm about to show another way of doing it. Watch out for my bamboo barrier hack shortly. Mark

    I love bamboos,the rustling noise they make in the wind is lovely. I have one in a large tall pot (purchased from Aldi) . It's a non invasive, clumping one (apparently} a fargesia. I tried to get it out of the pot last year to split it into 2 plants, but it's impossible to get it out of the pot now, it's grown so much its jammed in there. I reckon it will eventually split the pot 🤔

      Thanks rosemary. And did you see the 'rosemary' in the border next door? 😊

    That’s going to look really nice once it grows out in the boarder and fills the voids between the shoots 👌🏼 I can’t wait to see how well the barrier works too, I’d love to plant my bamboo instead of keeping it in pots but the gardens not big enough to let it run.

      Thanks Steve. I'm hoping for a dense rustling wind break. I'll feature it in future updates. Mark

      Hi. Thank you. Yes i think so. I do want a dense hedge. I may have to take chunks out at a later date. But I can give those away or sell them. Mark

    Thanks Mark, been playing with idea of Bamboo hedge? Which garden centre did you get your bamboo plants from ?

      Hello. Well the Interesting thing about these bamboo plants is that I got them from Morrisons supermarket. End of year reduction. They were only £5 each. I would definitely recommend some kind of barrier. These would have gone crazy without it. Mark

    Hey Mark, any further updates on this? We have a long line of bamboo that ive let grow out for the past 2 years. Some say to prune lower off shoots but i feel this looks bare... Any ideas?

      Hi. I'll do an update in a future video. It's working very well. I intend taking the leaves off the stalks eventually

    Great video! Can you recommend a type of bamboo? 😊

    • @MarksHouseandGardenUK
      @MarksHouseandGardenUK  Год назад

      I could recommend any particularly. But if you're not already, just be aware, some are invasive, others aren't. I particularly like the black and the golden varieties. Mark

    Can’t the roots just start growing under it since it can’t in off the sides ?

    • @MarksHouseandGardenUK
      @MarksHouseandGardenUK  9 месяцев назад

      I believe they won't grow down and under. The bamboo barrier is designed around that
