I used a little bit more than an arms length. If you run out of thread before you get to the desired length, just tie another string to the end of your thread and continue.
+sri priya it depends on how long you want the necklace, I made mine 16" it fits like a choker. I also made one 18" long. It all depends on how long you want to take it.

For this project I used 4 mm pearls, 4 mm Swarovski bicone crystals and no 11 seed beads
