I loved this design so much that I have now used the method to create my own styles, some with pretty seed bead picots, some with tear drop beads, and others with various types of beads - like small rectangular Gemstones, longer Sterling Silver Tube beads or Trapezoid beads in place of the bicones - but I still have yet to use Pearls. My go-to favourite is one that I kept for myself, done with round and rectangular beads in Azurite and tiny Stirling Silver beads - I wear it with everything! No two are the same, they work up quite quickly, and they've all been well-received as gifts. It's such a versatile design that works every time so long as the two sizes of beads at top and bottom are used to produce that curve. Thanks so much for kindly sharing this design with us! I'm eternally grateful, as are my friends and family who've received them as gifts. THANK YOU! EDIT: I'm right in the middle of making another one with the two sizes of round Turquoise beads (3mm & 6mm), Red Coral and Brass seed beads, and gorgeous handcrafted 15mm-long tubular Brass beads inlaid with Turquoise and Red Coral in place of the bicones, and with 3mm Hand-Engraved Brass beads for the nacklace section on either side which is sprinkled with a few matching 8mm round handcrafted Turquoise/Coral inlaid Brass beads - IT'S SPECTACULAR!!
Thank you for your tutorials. Made many of your patterns. One thing would be useful is to add the length of wire we need. Couple of times I had to attach new threads and it is not always look good when you attach a new thread in the middle. So it would be nice to have the approximate length we need
Hi Sweetheart, I hope that I can help you... I cut 6 metres/yards off my spool of 'Nymo D' thread, which would obviously be ridiculously too long to work with if I tried to start at one end and get to the other! So I almost always slide my first 'unit' of beads to the middle of the the 6m/y thread (with a stopper bead FIRST) and begin weaving from the middle of the necklace, as I then only have 3 metres/yards of thread to work with which is much easier than having to finish and start new thread. When I get to the end of my piece I weave my clasp into a circle or drop shape (so I don't need to use jump rings to attach it later and reinforce it several times), then I turn the whole piece around and weave the other side of the piece from the middle again (but remember to remove the stop bead!), and then I do the same thing with the other end of the clasp. I usually have a good bit of thread left to weave back in to each end rather than just tying a knot and cutting at my 'clasp circles' - and then there's often some left over - but better too long than too short. I do the same with bracelets and any pieces where a lot of thread is needed. I hope I've been clear enough and it makes sense. Good luck with your project! PS: Nymo D Is a specialised beading thread and should be available at any good beading store or on Ebay. It comes in a wide range of colours but I've found that I mostly use 'Smoke' because it disappears into the beadwork but if I'm doing a black or white piece then I use black or white accordingly. BUT.. I heard that when doing multiple passes through the same beads you must be careful not to pierce the previous thread/s, but I've never had any problems with that. It's my go-to thread for everything, and comes in little bobbin size rolls (of 64 metres/yardsl and in very large spools. I keep a range of colours in the the bobbin sizes, and buy Smoke, Black, and White in the huge spools.. I think they're 1000 metres and last for YEARS - and I do a LOT of bead-weaving! Best wishes.
hi...this is a necklace. pls watch the tutorial ..I dont know how much thread do you need, I always add more thread by making a knot because it wont be seen -it will get hidden through the beads, I dont like to work with long thread.
I had being trying your necklaces but something happen to me ,when I tryed to kneat all the pieces with the thread got me loose ,perhap is cause the thread that I use is too thin,I use # 15 miyuki .my question is, it can be used nylon thread instead of miyuki's.
This is beautiful. Please could to do a little section again. Your hands are too low on the screen. I can understand what your doing as I've done a very simple one. But would be nice to see full screen. Ghana you.
It’s so beautiful I love it but there is only one thing to make your videos even better it to show us all the beads you will use at first so we know exactly what you will use and so we could buy them and try to make your beautiful necklace
Bonjour, je viens juste de terminer ce magnifique collier. Il est superbe !!! Je remercie la personne qui m'a donné la chance de faire ce tuto. On en veut d'autres :)
beautiful necklace, but the bicone is not very visible in the background job, and so cool , I wanted to make this necklace but it is not clear if repeat with bicone, thank you
Ciao molto bellaaaaaa. Nn avendo bicono in casa, in alternativa posso usare i cipollotti?? Grazie se mi risponderai. Un bacione grande ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ bgiornata
I use 'Nymo D' for EVERYTHING. It's available at any good bead store or on Ebay. It's a specialised beading thread that doesn't need conditioner (but sometimes for necklaces I pull it over a bar of waxy-type homemade style soap made with natural oils, like lemon myrtle or orange oil, (because I live in a hot and humid region and it protects my finished pieces from sweat) but don't use too much or it will clog up the bead holes. It also helps to keep knots to a minimum and is much cheaper than buying a thread conditioner!) It comes in a wide range of colours and two roll sizes: bobbin size which are 64 yards or big spools which are 1000 yds. I only buy the big ones in Smoke, black, and White, and always keep a range of colours in the bobbin size, because I find that the Smoke generally blends into almost any colours of my beadwork except when using black or white beads. I rarely have used anything else!
Are you using regular sewing thread for this? I want to make this this weekend but, I’m scared it would fall apart after wearing it a few times using thread alone
Then the wire shows. Wire is metal. I will try fishing line again. That is invisible but with 2 needles it is difficult to work with. It curls. I'll try my plastic pliers and try to straighten it out.
length=15.5 inch (40 CM)-without clasps 46 pearl beads (6mm) 56 gold beads (4mm) 28 bicone beads (4mm)-black 29 pearl beads (4mm) If you have any question please feel free and ask !!!

regular sewing thread

Very lovely beads
Onde eu encontro esses matérias
Beautiful necklace. How long did you measure thread?
it doesnt matter the length of the thread . you can add more thread by making a knot , it will get hidden through the beads and you wont see it !
have you tried using silver beads in place of gold beads? I'm real excited about this choker. It's so pretty
no but i can try making it with silver beads
