    Hi Stephane, I found an easier way of adding on thread. I've been using it with my projects and it's very strong. I learned it from an expert beader like you. You make a square knot and burn the ends. The burned end secures the knot...it works well with 15/0 too. Let me know what you think. Love the necklace. I'm going to make one soon. Thanks

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  7 лет назад +3

      Thanks Veronica! I stay away from fire and thread LOL Many beaders use your method. As a designer I like the stop bead method as I can take it out and change it if needed or desired. Thanks for sharing.

    Hi Stephanie. Thanks a lot for your kind answer. I am soooo happy. After searching for a long time I found the Heishe at Etsys in several colours like hematite, silver, purple and rainbow. I ordered them all :). The Shipping to Germany is very expensive but I don't mind. If you order more it is okay and I ordered all colours 3 times :). Have a nice day and the necklace is done. So wonderful 😍

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  6 лет назад

    • @danielangom
      @danielangom 6 лет назад

      Hi Stephanie. Yes, I am very happy too :). I hope it won't take to long that the beads arrive here because they come from Canada 😅 The name of the shop is fallinlovegems. The Heishe beads there cost about between 2.50 and 3.50 $. I don't know about Shipping to US, Germany is very expensive, about 12-14 Euro.
      I have another tip for making own cabochons in a cheap way :). Maybe you know it but it is great. It is called do&dry from Creall. It is a block kind of modelling Material. It is air drying. You take the wanted size and model it in the way you want it. With a little bit water you can smooth the surface. If it hardens you can reuse it with water. Painting is possible with acrylic colour, nail enamel or whatever.
      A block of 500 grams cost about 1.80 $, pretty cheap :).
      Have a nice day 😘

    Hi Stephanie... So i went looking for your 3part videos for this necklace... Did you get rid of those videos? I was just wanting to go back now that I have so much more understanding of what I'm doing to just see what a difference it'll be compared from then to now. Does that make sense? Lol Your giveaway just got me thinking about how I went from the way my Dad taught me (when I was 11 he had me using dental floss as my thread and would mostly string necklaces at our local flea market.. People would walk by with their kids choose their colors and come back 1-2hours later to pick up my creation. I loved it so much! I didn't realize it at the time but My Grandpa had a moccasin shop that went out of business and so we were basically liquidating his inventory... & him & my Dad taught me how to work some with leather but that was when I was 11..I'll be 38 next month I don't really remember anymore. Tomorrow is my stepDads funeral... just a lot of emotions wish my biological Dad would care enough to spend time with me I've been begging him to bead with me again but he's just always got an excuse. He hasn't called me even once since I got out of the hospital last June. Jim...my step dad was the man who was always there for me and I just don't know how to say goodbye to him tomorrow...💔

    I really appreciate hearing you repeat the bead order each time to load your needle. I tend to do that as I bead, sort of like a mantra. It helps me get into a rhythm and I don't have to think so much until I begin a new segment or step in a beading project.
    Those last 2 3mm bicones on the bead/toggle part of the clasp beautifully finished it off nicely.
    Just 1 request though: When you share new necklaces, can you show us how it looks on? I know you don't want to be in front of the camera, (me either) but I'm betting you have a bust you can display your necklaces on before and/or after the demo. Please?

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  5 лет назад +1

      Thank you Michelle 🌻😊🙏 I appreciate that you notice the little things that I think make a big difference in designing a piece. Shows your designing mind! I definitely think that repetition creates mastery. I’m glad it works for you as well😊 I have a bust for display but to me it doesn’t accurately show where a necklace falls on the neck. I’ll try to use it more in the future but remember it is smaller and not anatomically accurate. Also, my one camera pointing downward really limits using display items 😉💜❤️

One thing......and that's just me, nothing wrong with it,.....a little too much talking , but I will continue to watch your post. Thank you 😃 I am trying to teach all levels so my explanations are in depth. So a little more talking for the newbies! The Hematite beads are the gemstone and are round. Try Beadaholique or Amazon usually has them. You could easily use a 4mm firepolished bead instead.

    Very pretty.
    Can't find any teardrop beads in the nice size you used or anything close, esp. in the top down drilled, from my regular sources, including FMG's. Any suggestions?

      Thank you 😊 www.fusionbeads.com/teardrop-fire-polished-czech-glass-bead?color=197&size=85
      You can also use the Swarovski mini drops or the 9x6 Swarovski Teardrop Beads.

    Stephanie...do you think I could do this with 6x8 mm drops? I just ordered some really pretty ones on clearance but I haven't received them yet to really compare the sizing in person. I'm hoping they might work.

    I've been trying to locate 1x2mm Hematite Silver Heishi Beads for two years. Google has been no help whatsoever! Will you PLEASE give me a link to the store that supplies yours? BTW, I've watched ever tutorial that you've published many times. I love your work!

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  7 лет назад +1

      Hi Maggje😃 The Hematite Heishe beads are from BRC beads on Amazon. I looked and they do not have them at the moment. Try Etsy. Put 2mm Hematite Heishe beads I n the Etsy search box and many vendors will come up. A vendor on Amazon called AD Beads has them but I've never ordered from them so I'm not confident suggesting this vendor. Research them to find out shipping etc. Hope this helps. Amazon won't let me copy the link otherwise I would have put the link here🌻

    Hi Stephanie, I just want to thank you *so much* for this video and the very clear step-by-step instructions! I made this necklace and it turned out beyond gorgeous. I hope you don't mind, I modified the pattern a little as I didn't want to use Swarovski crystals all the way around because they are expensive in Malaysia, where I live. Here is the finished result: www.dropbox.com/s/lilv82faxxgayj7/IMG_20181220_194122.jpg?dl=0
    I used Light Siam 4mm bicones (6mm for the dangles), unfaceted 4mm hematite beads, 3mm Jet Preciosa Czech bicones, Chinese glass crystals for the black drops, 11/0 Miyuki -- I don't know what the colour is because my local bead shop only had it labelled "Miyuki metallic RR 451", and 15/0 Chinese glass beads in gunmetal because I could not find 15/0 Miyukis. Thank you once again for the time and effort you put into the video! I appreciate it so, so much!
