    Certainly the graphics look extremely appealing. Good to hear that you think it's best with 4 or 5 so encouraging to involve the whole family. Thanks for the review.

    I absolutely loved the intro. Haven't been too fond of the previous one, but I really really enjoyed this one! Two thumbs way up.

    Looks good. Could be interested in this as a 4 player family game. Might wait and see if we can have a play at UKGE next year!

    Thanks for the review. I was mildly interested in this but your feedback about the 2-player game (the majority of my plays along with solo) has effectively made the decision for me. Great productions values though, as one would expect from Days of Wonder. This and The River from last year haven't exactly been stellar hits.

      I think this is still solid but yeah doesn't scale well with players. But you're right, Days of Wonder have kind of hit a slump lately from their old days of TTR, Five Tribes ,Yamatai and similar awesome hits. The River was fine but didn't offer anything new. This one is fun, but I'll bet money it won't get the buzz.

      Cant it be easilly fixed by some home rule? Rahdo suggests some.

      @@johnytwo Maybe, but then that can be said with any game and it shouldn't be something that has to be done. I had the same question given to me with a game of Point Salad last night where I commented that playing with 5-6 players isn't worth it because the game doesn't scale the centre draw decks. The suggestions wouldn't work and even then for a simple filler game I shouldn't have to invent rules to fix what should have been spotted in play testing.

      @@TheBrokenMeeple Yes, I get it, but if there was a simple, working homerule, I would use it, rather than ditch the game for not being suitable for my player count. But as for the review, it is sure correct to mention such flaw.

      @@johnytwo Oh I wouldn't ditch the game per say, but like you gathered, for the review, it needs to be pointed out. Even the age old house rule for Carcassonne with when to draw tiles never got fixed in the game itself but no-one out there plays without that rule!

    Awesome review !!!! .. now the more interesting question ... this or quacks ?

    • @TheBrokenMeeple
      @TheBrokenMeeple  5 лет назад +2

      Tough choice, both are good games. This one has less "luck" involved I would say or at least more ways to mitigate it.

    I don't have quacks but my gaming group does so this might be a good alternative for me as I like push your luck. Wish it was better at 2 player though. Sure is pretty.
