Shalom. My mom a young Christian after a botched surgery which ultimately caused her death requested that she be cremated. I have experienced supernatural prophetic open visions, dreams etc since a young boy and was not walking with the Lord in full obedience at the time. After saying our last I love you's to each when my mom passed away peacefully in the Lord at the hospital, I stepped back and God had me look up at the ceiling. There my mom stood standing in a field of flowers chest high looking back at me looking every bit of a 30 year old or so looking back at me. A couple of weeks prior to her death she said son, I had a dream last night that I was in this garden that had these flowers with colors that we don't see in this world they were brilliant! I had an open vision of the rapture on Dec 30th 2021. As I was praying for Israel, I saw the earth about the size of my fist and all around was darkened. I suddenly saw people going up. Everything that God has showed me has come to pass with the exception of a couple. Lastly, I was laying in bed one day and I saw a plane careening toward the street that was closest to my bedroom. Lord is a plane gonna crash? I asked. The next day was 9/11. Brothers and sisters stay encouraged the Lord is coming back soon. Praying that someone will be encouraged by my comment. God bless you 😌🙏🏽

As Genesis says about returning to dust, there’s many ways your body can be returned to dust after natural death and it doesn’t matter which way that occurs, either by knowing so beforehand “planned” or not knowing so, not planned on how it’s returned to dust, God is still going to raise it back up either to eternal life or eternal damnation. That’s nothing to God. He has all power and nothing is impossible for him to do.

If God can find dead bones in the oceans, he’ll find me in my urn. Believe me, it is not my first choice, but I am poor. Family shouldn’t be burdened with the cost either. As primary caregiver to my 64 year old sister and her legal guardian, family has paid enough to keep us afloat. Do you have any idea how much becoming legal guardian in FL is? $15k-20K. My family is paying for it! Also, I had a tidy sum in my 401K but thanks to Obama I LOST it all but a few hundred $. Life happens and God is not surprised. Thank you Pastor for teaching this. For those of us that still have doubt, here are a few more points from the Bible: 1. as God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, God can also re-form the cremated from their ashes since He knows our DNS as He even numbers the very hairs of our heads. 2. God can change non-organism to organism as Jesus said: God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. 3. Jesus demonstrated God's almighty by changing water into wine and by restoring the sight of a blind using clay and His saliva. 4. God is faithful and trustworthy.

    Love listening to Pastor Allen.
My thoughts, very easy to get caught up in "guilt tripping" about cremation and condemning loved ones.
    Very Old Testament and legalistic.
Jesus is the only way to enter God's presence.
Jesus death and resurrection is the way. Accepting Jesus as my Saviour, repenting from sin, allowing the Holy Spirit to take control and lead me "more of God, less of me".
God created me from dust, he will give me a perfect eternal supernatural body, buried or cremated. His judgement is not on my body, his judgement is on having the blood of His Son cover me so I can be counted into as part of his adopted family.

Mankind cannot outsmart God thinking that by cremating the bodies of Christians (their enemy) they will put a halt to the resurrection promised by God to His believers.

The soul leaves the body. If the body is cremated , the soul is already gone. The body is just a shell whether it was buried or cremated. I myself at 71 yrs old have still not made that decision. All my beloved pets that I've raised in my life have been cremated. It, s okay. I still see signs that my pets are still with me when I think and talk to them in remembrance.
Many people have perished in fires. You can't believe that God has forgotten them. Their souls are just as strong as if they were buried. The most important thing in my life is that my soul goes to my Lord and Savior and not to the darkness of no time and no space. We are dead a lot longer than we are alive. Eternity is forever , so prepare ourselves on earth as it will be in heaven. Make no mistake !
      God is our Creater.
      God gave us Life,
and God will take us home. Remember,
      Suicide is out of the question or the soul will have no time and no space ;
      ( for eternity ) .
Pets and animals are sinless. That,s why they show unconditional love when they are loved back. We as humans were given the gift
      of a ( Free Will ).
A Free Will to live and exist by the Words of our Creator or live and exist in the darkness of the Evil One. The decision is Ours. But Our Decisions are for Eternity. God Bless Us All ; because this
      earth is filled with
      both Good and Evil.

Since that day that I stepped out of the darkness and into the light, and into the loving arms of my Lord! I was raised in church but never knew Jesus! God watched over me and kept me safe while I was lost in deep dark sin!
From that day that I was born again I had the burning desire within me to know everything about our most Holy, most loving savior so that I could return that same love to Him and to honor Him by studying His Word so that the passion I had to tell the world about the good news!! The gospel of Jesus Christ was not my words but Gods!! Like you ,I see in black and white! My passion runs deep for my Lord and savior who first loved me! I never want to become lazy ,and Luke warm! My dad used to be an elder in the church of Latter Day Saints. Today he is 93 and is a seventh day Adventist. Myself and my siblings have tried talking to him. Today I have shared this video with my brother who is my dads caregiver so that he might gleen the truth which you have shared with all of us that desire above all else to live according to Gods Word, to walk in faith and not sin! To know that some day , we who believe in the saving grace of our Lord Jesus! To know LOVE! To walk in peace and joy knowing that our Heavenly Father is always with us, that He loves us, and that alls we need to do is believe in Hud promises , and need not worry for nothing!! Oh how wonderful it is to know ,that now and for eternity we will always be surrounded by Gods love ! How amazing it will be!! It's all about faith. The God who created the heavens and the earth, angels, plants, insects, animals, fish, and the human race. Who knows every hair on every head in the world, has given every star a name, and knows all thoughts and actions of every human being who ever lived therefore He is able to find and recover every atom of every human body that was buried, cremated, blown up, eaten by animals or fish and will resurrect for eternal life all who obeyed the Gospel of Jesus Christ up until the rapture and all those that repent and accept him during the tribulation. He will also resurrect the ones who died believed or unbelieving and judge them also, if their name is not written in His book of life they will be condemned. He, is my God and is able, and nothing shall be impossible for God. That is how powerful our God is. He is bigger and more powerful just, and loving than we can even imagine. Cremation is not wrong & making people feel that their loved ones heavenly body will not happen & that burial is the only right & Christian thing to do was not correct. Good thing burial or cremation is not part of the Gospel of Salvation otherwise a lot of martyr brothers and sisters would have not made it. Many of them burned, eating, their blood spilled all over. Many of them unwilling sacrificed to pagan gods (demons) by their persecutors. Resurrection is a mystery that will only be understood that day we are changed, in the blink of an eye. Burial is an expensive proposition. Imagine some of our brothers and sisters from third world countries where they can verily pay for a simple box to be buried; they bodies would be disintegrated in months, or eating by animals, or decomposed by the weather for the locked of good sealing material. I remember one raining season in Esteli (Nicaraguan). It rained so much, the caskets started floating downhill. We’ll, my point is that this is not part of the Gospel of Salvation.

Her children would not help. I know my mom and sister are both in Heaven. I feel very condemned after listening to this. Jesus paid for all our sins. I personally don't believe this sermon to be very edifying. I have never heard it said before that Christians should be buried & not cremated. It has made me question his actual teachings as being from God. I shall not listen to them anymore. Don't feel condemned. My son was cremated as that is what I chose for various reasons. I don't think this sermon is very scriptural. Never heard of separating Spirit & Soul either. I don't believe our soul & spirit will be resurrected first & then much later our body is resurrected. I believe we will be resurrected at the same time & given a new body. A rather gruesome subject which is making people feel guilty for having chosen cremation which is not very compassionate, sensitive, understanding or thoughtful. Most people get cremated in the UK. There would never be enough room in the cemeteries if we all decided on bodily burial. We will only rot in the grave & become a skeleton & eventually we will be eaten by worms etc. God gives us a new heavenly body any ways.

Dear Jill - Remember that many good saints of the Lord were cremated as they were being burned at the stake, sacrificing their lives to the Lord. God honored them. You are fine and not at all condemned in the eyes of the Lord. And in their resurrected bodies, both your mom and sister will look as lovely and radiant as ever! God is not limited to a mere mortal's personal opinion or misunderstanding of scripture. Christ, whom John 1 tells us created everything that there is in the world, including us, created us from scratch and will resurrect us from scratch. No worries. God is the Brain and Creator here - not our limited thinking and shallow understanding. Man may condemn you - remembering that it was the religious people that condemned both Christ Jesus our Lord, and many followers of His. But God does not condemn you, and that is all you need to know. Rest peacefully in the Lord - He loves you like no other.

@@Blurb777 I am with you on this. What a terrible subject to bring up to bring guilt, doubt, condemnation & worry on so many people & have no concern with the effects this preaching will bring on people who chose cremation. Did you notice that the only time he got moved & showed emotion was for his own mother & sort of tried to bring up tears. Then he went on to boast about how he will be buried with a large gravestone. He showed no compassion for those who have lost children or their adult children. It is far more normal & acceptable that they die first. Rather a cold sermon with no thought of the negative effects on people who have chosen cremation. Our bodies only decay, rot & decompose in the grave.
This natural process is only speeded up by cremation.
"Obviously any buried body will eventually decompose (Ecclesiastes 12:7). So cremation isn’t a strange or wrong practice-it merely accelerates the natural process of oxidation. The believer will one day receive a new body (1 Corinthians 15:42-49; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Job 19:25-26), thus the state of what remains of the old body is unimportant.”

My Dad died in 2007. He didn't have a will. It was up to my 2 brothers my sister, and myself. We lived 250 miles apart, and I lived in a small town near my Dad.Something inside me felt very uncomfortable with the idea of cremation. I also knew my Dad was saved. I thought about the rupture. Most people pick cremation simply for the convenience and the cost, without giving any thought to life after death or the rapture. My one brother didn't really care what we decided, my brother and sister wanted him to be cremated (for the convenience of being able to have a memorial service at any time of their choosing). I went to a local funeral home and asked whatbwas the least expensive burial we could get. Cloth lined plywood casket, graveside service. When my brother called, I asked him what did he need for a memorial service. He said pictue of the deceased and optional an urn with ashes. So I said ,ok I can have him buried, and that won't prohibit you from having a memorial.service. We got my Dad buried, and a graveside funeral. I invited 4 people in my family whom I thought lived close enough to attend. I basically just let everyone know. 17 people in or family showed up, and they told me that they didn't have to memorial service. $3k including grave dig fee

The last ten minutes was the most impactful answer. Resurrection will be had to all bodies perished before he rapture. The method with which a person died does not matter. In fact when a person dies, the method used, burial in ground, at sea, with fire or explosion, etc., will not be your choice but the choice of those who handle your remains. Christ will resurrect, put all the pieces back together in the manner he chooses. So if you were born missing limbs, brains cells, etc., God will make things right at the resurrection.
Thank you Lord for your grace in our lives and for providing teachers like Pastor Nolan to help navigate what can be confusing topics in life. At the end of the day, Salvation is king.

I listened to a sermon one day while driving, I dont even recall the denomination of the one giving it. But basically their attitude was that even in the case of cremation there should be reverence and the ashes should be treated with humility and dignity as opposed to doing all sorts of willy nilly things with the remains. I liked that opinion very much. In fact, I kind of fought my sister in law over it regarding her Mothers ashes. Eventually her ashes were placed into an Urn and given a burial place with a headstone. Their father agreed with me and so did my wife. My Mother in law was cremated, because that was all she could afford. But we still have a place to go and humbly pay our respects. I think that is important, even if the final resting place is not necessarily in a "graveyard".

As for which King’s son was burned, it could be debated that The King of Moab burned his own son, and the King of Edom decided that Moab had paid for his crimes by the sacrifice of Mesha’s own son.
As to Cremation being a sin itself; “If I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it does me no good at all.”
    ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:3‬ ‭AMP‬‬
Why would Paul & Sosthesus mention giving the body to be burned with love? What does it accomplish if the cremated does have love?
I saw a comment on the is thread that stated, “God’s hands are not short.” I agree, nothing is impossible where God is concerned.

I will be transported to a tiny cemetary where the only payment necessary is to pay the guy with the backhoe and a small amount for a spot (that money helps pay for area maintenance). My Grandmother was cremated and I convinced her to do so because it is much cheaper and wise to leave that money for all of us left behind to put to good use in our own lives. I taught her that the real her was inside of her body and once she left it, she would not care what happens to her body. It ALL depends on the motive of WHY one would choose cremation. "Cremation," I think was forbidden in the bible because the MOTIVE was a satanic ritual. My Dad was also cremated too for financial reasons as it would have been very expensive to have his body shipped 100 miles to the cemetary. As painful as it was to pick up his ashes from the POST OFFICE and carry them home in my backpack before taking the them to the cemetery 8 miles from my house, that was the best way for him to choose to make his death as easy as possible for me.

Saxma, The Bible does not condemn
cremation. The Catholic Church at one time condemned cremation. The Catholic philosopher,s
back then have read the Bible and gave their people the information as they saw it. I was once raised a Roman Catholic. They always put guilt on their parishioners and prayed on the alters to themselves and I would watch them walk over to each other and do their worshiping among themselves and leave the rest of us to feel inferior to each other. Like we are not worthy. I know things have changed since then. The priests would talk in Latin while we just sat there. Not me. I went to another church were they involved us with testimonies and words of good feeling like we are just as worthy. Only Jesus will steer us to heaven. There are no Saints that can get us to heaven. According to Jesus ( we are all saints ).
Indians have cremated their dead for as long as they've existed along with many other religions throughout this world.
Don't beat yourself up over your family members that had themselves cremated.
      They are still with us.

I've never in my whole life have seen a Bible on the seats in a Catholic church. Only the priest's had a big one on the alter. What a shame. 12 years of Catholic school and I was never once showed how to look into a Bible . I didn't even know what a passage was. No priest or nun ever held a Bible to me.

I'm pretty sure it says we will be given heavenly bodies, and that there is nothing we can do to be plucked out of His hands. There aren't deal breakers regarding our salvation. If that WERE true, don't you think there would be more of a warning of that in the N.T.? Don't you think people like Paul would have let us know plainly and clearly NOT to be cremated? The essence of the Gospel is its simplicity. The price has been paid for us. Period. My repentance and confession of faith in Jesus has given me the gift of salvation.. And if our family can't afford to bury us, I'm sorry but that's not gonna make my salvation void. God made my 1st body out of nothing, I am pretty sure He can hook me up with my heavenly body.

Hello! I’m not trying to be rude or a keyboard cop, but I feel like I need to share that, for a pastor who is called to deliver the word of God, it is critical to use proper speech. The word “revert” means to go back to a former condition, practice, subject, or belief. To say “revert back” means to go *back-back*. It’s redundant.
Also, have came is improper. The proper subject verb agreement is have come. The correct conjugation is I have come, I came, I will come. The word came doesn’t need the helping word ‘have’.
I agree somewhat on this topic yet the bodies return to dust as scripture tells us. To return to dust is no different than being cremated. God only needs one molecule of who we were to restore us to our original bodies! I think the bigger message should be not to quibble over semantics of what was done in the past or why but to share with people that God is so much bigger than our understanding. To try to understand Him is limiting who He is or what he can do. To quantify the understanding to whether one should be buried in honor in a casket as a believer or in dishonor and cremated as an unbeliever is to say we knew that person’s heart better than God and can make that decision definitively, earth side. Some one who appeared to live a so called christian life and are “honored” with a nice funeral, may have been an unbeliever, a wolf in sheep’s clothing! We do not have the definitive call on knowing that. Burial is a very personal decision and judge people on how they do so is self righteous!

Pastor Allen … I totally understand and come into agreement with the sermon … however, what about those who were burned regardless of the reason, eaten alive or whatever means one dies, whereby there is no longer a body to bury … what about those souls?
I mean look at the costs associated with burial vs. cremation. Do you not think the enemy has something to do with that?
I have it in my Will that I requested a burial … however, my lawyer said it can still be overridden and I could end up being cremated, even though that was not what was requested.
So how do you address this? There are many Christians who have been cremated over the years … they won’t go to heaven even though God promised if you believe in His son and that he was raised three days later, after he paid for our sins?
Even after the Q & A I still hear it is a sin, if not a burial. I’m hearing that cremation is a sin because I’m a believer. Being too expensive is not a reason to not receive a burial.
I know we’ll all be resurrected but what happens if there’s no body? I don’t feel you addressed that!

Well this is very distressing because I never considered that cremation was wrong in God's eyes! I've been a Christian since being a young child and I never heard a discussion on it. I always thought it was a matter of personal choice. I have my husband cremated and now I'm feeling very badly about it because he deserved the best. I hope that the grace of Jesus covers him and covers me for making the wrong decision. And I don't know if I will leave enough money to my family to do a traditional burial so maybe the Rapture will answer that question for me!

The Pastor, though quite learned, is going to great lengths to make the case that he thinks burial is better for him than cremation because of his study on the subject and that’s where his faith is on the matter. It seems to me he still doesn’t recognize his salvation is based on his BELIEF on what JESUS accomplished, (not on what he does)The scripture says, “He who knew no sin became sin on our behalf that we would become the righteousness of God.” Bottom line: Have faith in Jesus, not your works, because without the propitiation or total removal of the penalty for our sin, none of us meet the righteous requirement of the law which says that the wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is righteousness to those who BELIEVE. Thanks to Jesus, He overcame sin & its consequences for us!

I believe God is powerful enough to gather our ashes from the 4 corners of the earth. As He will need to do for all those who died by fire or other tragedy. It doesn't matter and besides they have made funerals so expensive who can afford it? My mom is in a cabinet and I always look to see if she's been risen up yet because the dead go first. So she's my alarm to the rapture!😊

Also, Brother Allen, I learnt this from you on the glorified body. On the Day of Judgement, we are given a glorified body and not the same carbon body that will be resurrected. If thrown in hell, the earthly body cannot burn for all eternity because it will perish under hells fire. But a gloried body can burn for all eternity would out perishing.

When we die, our body returns to dust, so it does not matter burned or not, because we are getting new bodies to live in heaven and if we are not saved we will get a body made to suffer in the lake of fire for eternity.
