After almost 20 years of listening to this song ,playin it thru my ups and downs..
It's like the song matured right along with me..
Southern Discomfort rocks from beginning until the end.All of Danny's music is great Once you get it, you keep coming back to it
Amen.
Amen brother.
That album wouldn’t have been the same without brooks. Don’t just give Danny his flowers.

Maybe Rehab never "made it" in the classic sense, but this particular song and album TRULY reached a group of people. This album got me through my rough times, and still does to this day. They shined a light on depression and addiction, and encapsulated it in a way that is special..
I mean, even the audience doesn't know what to do at the end... The song personified the feeling of isolation, addiction, depression, and suicidal thoughts so POTENTLY, that "Clapping awkwardly" is the only response, since "hugging him" isn't an option.
Thank you rehab for your music and helping people know they aren't alone in the these feelings.
Def. Would be cool to see Brooks Buford and Danny together again IMO. Wish he was here to do the slow rap. Prolly would have gotten a million views from the old school fans.
Agreed 💯🙏🏼🫡
I have hoped for a reunion for a long time. It is a bucket list thing for myself to one day see them both together again even once for old time's sake. Unfortunately I don't envision it every happening but all we can do is keep hoping
Love this rendition. Sentimental af. We all growing old together, and the love just gets stronger. ❤️
Damn. Seeing this makes me feel old 😅
I’m thankful for this album every day. “And my heart carries the pain of a brain I can’t explain…am I insane”?
Danny Boone… brother you’re still the goods!!
Sitting in traffic another day of feeling nothing
Trying to find something
I guess it's back to huffin' paint and model glue
Oh how I die when I look
At you smiling' loving' life and all I know is blue
Rainy days and cold stares broken love affairs
Everything's beautiful as long as I ain't there
I guess I wasn't meant to crack a smile
Who cares?
I think I'll go to sleep for a while
And as the pain begins to displace
Had it to ear level with this place
You see it on my face: a state of suspended grace
Gradually I erase, and find comfort in the sickest womb
I might be present but not in the room
To whom it may consume
Melting ensembles, bleeding chellos
Running through Bordellos drama
Like Othello hidin' out from Poncharello
Dead off in the Median
Falling apart like usual handing' out flyers to my funeral
I love this song and have been listening to it since I was a kid. This sounds just as good now as that version did then.
