Every Drum, and every Rotor has the Minimum Thickness, or the Maximum ID stamped or cast on them somewhere. The correct bushing for that axle was the one that fit the S Cam, but was loose in the bore. The bore on the axle has worn from NOT having the busing installed, and the S Cam flopping around in there. You are going to have to make an oversize bushing, or weld & bore the axle so the correct bushing fits.

Not a drum question but a brake question. My tractor breaks aren’t grabbing like they should and all the shoes have good pad, I read on these newer trucks I shouldn’t be adjusting that’s the brakes that’s the slack adjusters job and if I need to they’re bad. Do you think that’s true or have you had luck adjusting yours. I have a 08 century and the slacks adjusters don’t seem to have play in them

When was the last time u actually pulled the drums off to check the drums? And it could be an S CAM problem. Could also be the slack adjusters aren't set to where they should be. I would start with making sure the slack adjusters are adjusted correctly. That's the easiest. Then pull the drums and inspect them. Then u can check your S CAM's while your drums are off. That's all I can tell u. Thanks for watching and commenting

That drum you are working with Needs to be replaced now because it has a Heat crack all the way across the inside face of that drum and if DOT stops whoever is driving that rig for a roasaide inspection they will park it right there for that

Drums are cheap. I don't know why people make a big deal over replacing them
If you're gonna do it, do it right.
When I pull one apart, it gets new drums, shoes, cam bushings, slack adjuster and wheel seal. If there is Any wear on the cam, that gets replaced also.
There is to much counting on those brakes to question anything.
