    I liked the music background as it is better than listening to people grunt. I wish more of the first start videos were cleaning and checking to see what they have. That old 221 ford engine came back.... not much to start with but a good place holder. Lot more good metal than bad so its a builder unless the frame has some hidden agenda. Even the wiring as old as it is will probably be usable but nice if replaced a wire at a time till all in nice rows then the ends on an loomed. There were many a loaf of bread sold out of those trucks

    • @SpeedandChromeTV
      @SpeedandChromeTV  3 года назад

      Frame is solid, wiring is toast, it will get a new harness. I talk a bit about the bread truck part of it in the next video, working on that right now.

    Pretty much all the videos I have seen about old cars rescues, the guys never change the oil before fire up the engine. Is it a good idea to start the engine with 40 years old oil in the pan?

    • @SpeedandChromeTV
      @SpeedandChromeTV  3 года назад +1

      Not for any length of time. Most guys will verify the engine will run and get the oil hot enough to drain out. Then put in new. We didn't have a cooling system so we couldn't run it very long. Not having oil in it is another story. Once we new it would run, the oil was changed and we went to work on the rest of it. 38 years is a long time to sit outside.

      Hey John, I tell you what, if we hadn't had a couple of wires in the wrong places it would have started much sooner. Once we figured that out, it fired right now.

      If I played Led or any other band I would get a copyright strike and it effects the channel, so the music choices are limited. The plus is I use almost no music in Part 2.
