Man...that is one COOL yard! They got alot of very usable units, with not many rusted out losers. Just about anything in pre-1960, cars or trucks. Thanks for taking me along...well worth the time! ✌😁
Cool video guys, you two look like you are in your early 20's, seem to know alot about vintage tin, that's really great, nowaw days guy's your age have absolutely no interest in old cars...it show's the hobby is still strong. These old junk yards are disappearing, especially in the middle of the country like Michigan. Keep up the good work!!
I am a bit older than you guys , but I will give you a legit suggestion / organize the whole yard , trucks in one location , makes etc.. cars in decades and makes... mowing grass around the vehicles .. you will get buyers... ideally you would part out everything and inventory it , but you would need a crew of a dozen , and profits are gone... I remember as a kid walking yards and just loving it ... you do that you will have people , but you have to have insurance ..
I liked it and can’t wait till you get to the section where the cars are only twice as old as you are... I’m older than a lot of them. I’ll keep watching
I have a 1940 frame and brake parts, if they will work you are welcome to them . I would need a way to reach out to ya'll, nice to see the younger guys into the older cars.
A glass shop can cut the glass to fit your car. Its flat and easy to install. Make a pattern out of 1/4" plywood. Make sure its a prefect fit. Take it to the glass shop and it will be cheap.
Might I suggest getting real good with a video drone and flying around these kinds of places? Seen some of the train spotter guys doing it and it really looks great.
Hey guys, I have a 57 Nash Hudson Metro prepped for paint for sale She Havasu City, AZ. Need $9,000 for it. Runs great but needs battery! All trim and lights off and inside car because it's ready to be painted.
A lot of focus on parts cars from the 1930s and 1940s yet many rare cars completely overlooked...1961 Chrysler New Yorker, 1953 Buick Coupe, 1963 Galaxie Convertible, 1964 Galaxie Convertible, 1968 Oldsmobile 88 Convertible, 1958 Lincoln Continental Convertible (worth over $100K fully restored).
Where is this wonderful yard ? I live in the eastern part of Pennsylvania. We know about salt and rust. I'd like to go to this yard. Thanks for the cool video.
Hey guys, nice vids of the yard. I saw 76 or 77 olds cutlass. Are there anymore out there. Im looking for 74-75 2 door parts specifically. Thank you for any info or pics
By any chance do u guys come across any wrap around or cow bells those are the extra pieces on chevy front and back bumpers on Chevy from 38 thru 54 if so I'm interested in buying thanks in advance 👍😎
I think you should return the hood ornament to the 41 Cadillac,. It's actually broke .. the Pontiac 4 door fastback is a rare car.. idk too bad you didn't mention the location ,, saltport? Where is saltport... That's not enough to go on.. nice video...
You went by a couple of 60 Chevrolet's I wish you would have showed them I think they would probably have been a good car I seen one that was a convertible I just caught a glimpse of it I wish I could have seen all of it and I thank you went by a couple 68 satellites
For consumables like brake pads, you should visit Cuba and learn how to make them yourself. Lot of old cars from the 50s there, but I doubt that they are able to import parts even if they are on the market.
I really like to have a 60 Chevrolet 2 door hardtop for convertible I think that's the most prettiest car ever made checkered Flags Edition second car I would love to have would be a 68 satellite because they're just no more roadrunners left
Ren here from Pomona Ca. just 45 miles southeast of L.A. Yeah I have a 62 ford f100 uni truck just put a new 292 and a new 3 speed. Found it next to a garage. but anyway I keep looking to see if you run into any 62 ford trucks like mine. Be cool to check out more of the engines and inside of the cars, be nice to find a working radio. When I was 16 I use go out and look for parts like what you two are doing. But now these days here, thee is no more junkyards like the good old days. Now we got all these welfare apartments taking their place, world is going to pot, I swear, well that could be a good thing I guess B^)
@@resurrectionauto5714 The yard has been in business since 1957 and has never crushed out. My Dad had Westview Materiel and Handling and tried to get Carl to sell the stripped bodies for scrap iron. Carl said, "Not until I can get $100 per ton." Finally in the 1990"s (after Dad retired) the price went up to where my cousin who now owned Westview could offer $100/ton. Carl still said no, his wife had divorced him and part of the settlement was she gets half if he ever crushes out..... so that wont be happening. The awesome part is he has over 100 years of automotive. I managed to buy a bunch of junk batteries from him in 2007. He had over 10,000 cars then. I don't know what the car count is now. The last time I was there was 2015. I now live in WA State.
Carl won’t sell anything. He will, but he puts It don’t want to sell anything’ prices on stuff. I was there in June. Most stuff is rotting to nothing. Same cars are there as when I was there in 1989 or so. Nothing has moved.
Where's chase's location, I'd love to do a walk through and take pictures, I love the attitude of it ant for sale types of guys, gotta check this place out too, hopefully I can do a vintage tin road trip this winter
I'm curious if you could text me back and let me know or if you have a video of it and can point it out to me in the video I wonder if you ever seen or heard of a 1946 Lincoln bursa this car came out with hydraulic windows and seats it had a V12 engine with two distributors in a split two radiators with two water pumps

The best car from what I saw was that late 40's or early 50's buick !
Come to the east coast of Canada and i'll show you rust. lol. Those cars would be builders here, especially the Buick. Great channel guys

We do that often but if cooleys has it we usually just buy it from them, usually the same price and I don’t mind pulling it
Hey that "Flying Goddess" Cadillac hood ornament, hope you kept it....one on eBay right now $999 and it looks like its in about the same condition.

We prefer more of the 30’s and 40’s cars and are more knowledgeable about them. That’s why we usually will pass over later model cars
Wheel @ 18:55 --> somewhat rare mid '50s Cadillac sabre wheel. Grab that!

I like how 95% of the vehicles in there were used to death. It makes for good parts picking, as the whole cars have just been used to death.
