Matts (Fisherman's Life - www.youtube.co..., Andrew, Ryan, and I pack up our bags for a 3 day, 2 night adventure to camp in a Forest 3.5 hours northeast of San Francisco. We camp at various destinations along a river that are home to plenty of trout. We go through brush, and hop over huge boulders in order to get to some of our destinations to fish.

At first, I was going to give you my secret spot but then you brought in a Brown. I have never caught a Brown in my spots up here so I decided you guys have a better spot!! Looked like Matt was with you too. My wife heard all the excitement and had me subscribe. Anyone that has that much fun is worth watching she said! Advice, bring a fry pan and salt. There are usually wild onions or sage not far from the water. Smaller lures too but only if you want to bring the fish in for dinner. FIREs!!!!!!!!!!! Get a permit and make sure the fire season is open. Permits are free but without one you can get a ticket. My wife and I really miss not being able to fish our local river any longer so we are glad you guys are doing it! Great video!!!
LOVE these creek fishing vids you’ve been putting up. The more I think about it, the more I realize that it’s this kind of creek fishing when I was younger that really has carried over and blossomed into my love of rockfishing from shore; You have a lot of the same elements of hiking/exploration along with figuring out the ins & outs of the small stretch of structure your fishing. So much fun.

This is so cool beacuase I was just at Stanislaus and to see youtubers go to the same spot is amazing the best fishing though is by the camping spot
This is a great video. Really impressed with how you treat the trout properly on the release! One tip though, highly recommend you get a trout net if you do more C&R. That makes sure the trout are landed really gently and maximizes their chance of survival.
The water is so clear
Went through most the comments to make sure I'm not repeating anything, but that trout you had for breakfast was definitely wild. You can tell by the little fin on the top of the tail. Hatcherys cut them off so that you can tell.
Hatcheries cut steelhead adipose fins, not resident trout that are stocked in non-anadroumous waters

Really nice vid. Hard to beat camping out and fishing in gorgeous country. Suggestion: Try fly fishing and tie your own fly's. Start with cheap equipment and tie one fly : a Wollybooger. Change your life for the better.

Wasn't trying to limit out - almost all the trout we caught were catch and release, except for the one that I had for breakfast

Don't touch Trout with your hands, if your hands are wet it's better, but mostly don't touch. Wet rag is best.
