Thank you so much! I have the ET-4700 and had some paper jams that required me to take my printer apart. Once I reassembled it, I had the 100070 error and this video helped tremendously!
You saved me a lot of money because I was ready to throw this thing out a window! I have a 4700 and had the same issue and could not find a fix until I saw your video. I even tried to take it in to get fixed and no one wanted to touch it. I have printed less than 100 sheets on this thing and I wanted to change the ink. I am saving this video just in case.
THANK YOU!! I was have a 4700, and was able to see the slot I needed to slide the loose part into by you showing us yours!!! I have been messing with this printer for 3 hours and with your help I am up and going in 5 minutes!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Thank you so much for this video! I have an Epson ET-3650 and this was exactly what was wrong. I kept googling ways on how I can open up the printer and found this video. Thank you so much! My printer is back up and printing again!
Thanks, had same issue on an Epson ET-4700. I had stripped it to clean the rollers and had dislodged the ribbon cable. The ET-4700 is very similar to the 4800 so it was nice to see where the ribbons go before pulling it appart. I also had to remove the side panel for better access.
A further question: you mentioned there being one screw on the side panel that allowed you to open it up. I have an ET-4700. I cannot find a screw on any surface. The only fastener I can find is a clip holding the ribbon assembly at the top. It looks like a squeeze mechanism, only it won't squeeze. Any thoughts? Thx.
I would have to look at that model. Have you tried looking by the scanner glass...on the upper left side as you are looking at the front of the printer? I was missing a screw to mine straight out of the box.
Thank you so much for sharing this super helpful video!! Any advice on putting the side cover back on? I can’t get the rear part of the side panel to fully connect. (ET-4800)
It may have been in the other video. I replaced the ink and then had to fix the scanner. I was also missing 1 screw...and one was kind of hidden on the side. The side part is the trickiest to separate...I tried to show as much as I could. 😬
This video did not save my day, I now have to replace my printer. Not sure what cable I inadvertently loosened up, but following your lead I got rid of the scanner error, but now my paper will no longer load. Maybe you should not include this in "All things Phylicia"

Thanks so much! Was getting that same error message and because of your video I was able to fix it and continue! You gained a subscriber! 👍🏻
Glad I could help! 😁 The excitement usually has me having to do something extra. I have calmed down.
Any chance you could show the part where you remove the side panel. That seems to be 99% of the challenge.
How did she take the side off
Yeah that’s what I am tryin to find out. I don’t want to pull too hard. But no screws.

this is exactly my problem. I see the two cables, but could you add how to get the side panel off? Thank you!!
Thank you had no idea where the small ribbon went
Thank you so much for this I wouldve NEVER figured this out!!
THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME CHANGE MY NEW PRINTER TO SUBLIMATION INK. BUT HOW DID YOU GET THE SIDE OFF?
Awesome video Thank You. I have a 4700 that did the same thing. When you lift the scanner to do any maintenance guess its going to pull out
I don't even think mine were connected initially...they were both taped to the top of my printer's glass area.🤔
I’m not sure of where to take my printer apart at?
Thanks sooo much!
Great! Life saver!
Thank you so much!
Thank you this was very helpful 😊
How on earth did you put the side back on to the printer ? I can't get my side back on to save my life ? hopefully you will see this. Thanks.
