I pulled the cover up to high to flush print head and you guess it, the scanner cables came loose.

What he failed to mention is that he didn't put the screws back in after he took it apart to see if he could fix it. And then proceeded to lose every screw because he didn't put them in a box or back in.

Thank you for letting me know how to take the side panel off of the Epson et-4800 like this one. After all colors clogged, and using a cleaning kit, the two scanned cables came apart. I was able to use this video to figure out how to access them to put them back. Thank you.
TYSVM!!! Epson "Customer Service" prepared a return on this printer, and simply, a pencil had dropped down into where you input paper. PROBLEM SOLVED!

I'm planning to try this when I get home. This has been the best explanation I've had. Epson wants me to purchase a new one. This messed up within the first 2 years. Hi Kevin, I find your channel excellent. I have a problem my Epson workforce 545 is showing a Printer error problem. no code number. it states turn off and then on again. I have done these to many times to count. I changed out the ink and placed in a new Epson ink cartridge. I cleaned the print heads, the printer came back on then I went to check the print pattern and the error came up. Please help.
I have not been able to use the printer since.

Thank you for your video , I tried this method once before and it worked ?, it happened again and now the smallest cable wire is badly scratched is there a video on how to replace or fix this problem, can this wire be cut? or does the wire need to be completely replaced and if replacement is necessary is there a video on how to do this ? Please advise I am sure that is the problem with the printer as it was working fine. I really do not want to get rid of it if I can fix it with a spare part.

I have tried the method per the small cable I remove it and clean it and fix it back again. But it does not work

Hello, I was setting up a brand new Epson Ecotank 2800 and trying to get it ready for sublimation. Soon as I reached the step after preparing, it mentioned it would take 11 minutes, but before it could finish I received a message that there's an E2 scanning error with the same numbers underneath.😭 All the website says is to shut off and turn back on, but it's been wasting my sublimation ink. I tried to follow the steps you mentioned, removed the screws to open the printer up and looked at the three ribbons, as well as removed the side panel to place the ribbons back where they belong. When I went to open the printer, a screw was missing from the front already and on the inside there was a piece of black tape on the inside near where the ribbons were. I removed the black take and observed the ribbons. I didn't see any damage, so I proceeded to use a dry cloth, even though the ribbons looked like there wasn't any dust or damage. I've been trying to figure this out for awhile now, any advice would be appreciated. The latest is that when I try to turn it on now, it skips the initiation step, but when I try to do anything, such as copy, or maintenance, it says printer busy, and then the same error message happens. I'm not sure if it's the way I'm loading the paper, because it doesn't seem to smoothly be able to be pushed to line up with the arrow where the printer rear tray is, or if I'm not loading enough pages at the same time. I also was in the middle of setting up the wifi network to connect to it, but I couldn't finish setting up the wifi because of the scan error. I finished trying to set it up on my cell which is android, and my laptop I'm using is a MacBook Air. Additionally, I was using brand new A sub sublimation paper, but then switched to use regular copy paper to not damage or waste the sublimation paper, and the Hippo Sublimation Ink that mentioned it would work for an ET 2800.😔 I don't know if it's a printer problem, or a problem with the sublimation ink, paper being loaded, or air in the line, since I can't get passed this error code to even attempt to print anything. Thank you in advance for any information or assistance you can provide.
Have you figured it out?! I had the exact issue! Omg how interesting! I just bought the et 2800, my husband also notice that a screw was missing in the same spot like you described. Mine is also showing error😒. I'm thinking of just returning it

I'm not sure if you already returned yours or not, but what I did was contacted the merchant that I purchased from, in my case, Amazon and explained the situation. It was under buyer protection, so they issued me a 1x replacement for the printer, and said the faulty printer, I could keep. I tried to fix the one that didn't work, and found a video that was about the scanner having an issue, where you have to take the section with the glass apart to get to the mechanisms inside. I followed the steps, which seemed like it might work, but then the part that holds one of the mechanisms that moves the scanner, broke when I tried to follow the instructions, so I'll never know if it was an issue because of the scanner not being able to move or it just was a defective item. The replacement printer I took the chance to try setting up for sublimation again, and thank God it worked. So maybe we both just received bad batches or printers that previously were defective, I'm not sure. I hope it'll work out for you too. Sorry for the late response.

if the lamp does not turn on when the printer turns on and moved to the left how do we order a new lamp for et-15000 do you have one?
I purchased a used Epson ET 2760 the seller said it had a jam paper error. When we received it the scanner was off the printer with 2 small ribbons out, I don't see a 3rd large ribbon. It appears the scanner was forced too far back when opening it up. Does this model use a 3rd large ribbon? How do we dissemble the printer to get to where the cables connect?

I tried this and still get the error code, the scanner does not move. You mentioned in previous comments it may be the scanner itself and to take it apart and figure out the problem but I am not confident in myself. Do you have instructions or a video of you taking the scanner apart and figuring out why it won't move?

Apparently the scanner error has to do with those cables getting disconnected, I am checking them and nothing semms disconnected.

I bought mine April 2nd 2024. I used it once. My husband used a little bit. I finally had time to work scanning some photos it scanned multiple times, but yup, I got that error. Peice of junk! I called staples 30 days to return um its May 7th 5 days late. I have my slip but not the box. I'm so disgusted. I'll see if my husband can fix this. So how many of these printers have sold? Junk pure junk

Just bought my printer a week ago , changed out ink (making it a sublimation printer) I initially put in the wrong ink so I followed a video and drained the printer of the wrong ink and now when I turn it on (haven’t added new ink yet) I get a scanner error - 100077. I’ve unplugged and plugged back in multiple times . Nothing . Epson says just take it back to Walmart and exchange it but my Walmart and every Walmart within a 100 mile radius is out of stock. So I need to fix this . Can you help ?

Hello. Can I get help with scanner error code e02 100032? I remove both of the little cables in the back and reinserted and reinserted the larger cable in the front. The printer turns on but I can't bypass the error.

I have a brand new Epson ET2720, it was working perfectly until i had to replace the ink with sublimation ink, then had the error 10016, which you helped me fix the issue, now i have the issue of error code 10032. I've uninstalled and then reinstalled the software. Any ideas of what might be causing this error code and how to fix it?

@@candacealfonso8279 lucky!!!unfortunately mine is done on any return lol I got mine in May last year but I've only used it 35 x so it's basically new. I ended up taking it apart and making sure wires were plugged in right like 50x. Then when I was about to give up it magically started working again. No more error. It's really hard to hold top open and try getting wires in with no help. Now I just gotta fix the black ink cuz it comes out really bad when I print. It's lines everywhere. 🙄ugh
Instead of remoting in wirelessly, I plugged it into my computer and it’s working fine now.
