Wow! I’m an amateur cyclist who lives in USA but originally from Sri Lanka. It’s amazing to see how you all enjoyed my country where I lived 30years. I’m a big fan of your cycling videos too.. keep paddling brother!!

This is soooo freaking cool. Good to see so many well aged people. Gives me hope I can do this when I push my kids out of the house, since I will be 50 by that time…

I just got back from Sri Lanka a few days ago. Wow, what a place! Nice people, friendly curious chats, awesome landscape, amazing food and of course wicked roads… Just be aware though, not doing an organized ride like this in a larger group with motorbike escort etc I had several critical stray dog chases each day. Especially in the remote steep hills.

Great video….just curious if this was a private organized tour or did you go through Exodus/Redspokes ? I am considering one of their Kerala or Sri Lanka tours if you happen to have an opinion as to which would be the more beautiful locale….Thank you!

Love the videos Josh. How do you go about finding his trips? I’m really struggling mentally at the moment really could do with a trip away on my own.

Hi Lewis. Sorry to hear you’re struggling. This was an organised trip so not much logistics on my part. But most solo trips I tend to wing it mostly. It could be as simple as setting off from your front door with some bikepacking bags and see how far you get and get a train home if necessary. Stay in a posh hotel, sleep in a bush or mix the two, it’s up to you Start small and work your way up to bigger adventures and it’s a pretty similar concept when going abroad. You can also plan more and follow a route. Lots of good ones out there. Maybe a eurovelo or a gravel adventure. Hope this helps a little with ideas.
