Beautiful Bowl Tim👍👍👍
Love it
Tim Ha Ha great job mate it looks great do not eat the burl instead of the veg or you might need to see the dentist. Have a smashing New Year to you and family
Now you have me looking for Red Mallee Burl...
ok. Art to hang on the wall. Beautiful grains. Thanks for sharing
While watching, I was thinking what the burl would look like with the bowl turned on the opposite side.. you've got another half. What say you?
I have a couple in storage that I need to look at. What might be cool would be to turn from the cut side and stop hollowing once holes appear where the indentations are. I will have to think on how to pull that off.
I thought a pendulum clock would have been good too.
Im about to purchase a robust American beauty lathe. U were the inspiration for it i might like to buy through u.
I would honored Karl. You can reach me at info@wtwtim.com if you think I could help you with the purchase.
Great job Tim. Happy New Year
At first look I didn't think there was much you could do and maintain the broccoli appearance. I think you managed it though. It really is a beautiful burl. Your idea of only finishing the turned bowl cavity was right on. I have a small piece that I have been contemplating what to do with for about four years now. Thank you for sharing. Have a great new year and stay safe. Also keep Brian out of the line of fire.🙂🙂You have entertained and educated me and others for many years. I am looking forward to the same for many more. ❤❤❤❤
I still have pieces that I have had over 20 years that I still can't figure out what to do with!
Mallee burl is always beautiful. And great job on the turning. Hate to say it, but I probably would have just hung it without turning it. And I love turning!!! Actually, good either way. Or even if you had turned the bowl on the other side and formed a dipper. So many opportunities and choices.
Man y'r so funny and good at what you do Merci .
That might have made an interesting shallow hollow form. Beautiful . As alwyas, enjoyed the ride! Thanks Tim.
Looks great, Tim. That was a really neat idea. Ben from Ben's Worx on RUclips uses a lot of mallee burl on his projects. Of course, he's in Australia.
Bill
I love watching you Tim. Your excitement is so contagious. Every piece of wood I turn makes me.feel the same way.
Very cool and a little weird. As always, really enjoy watching and learning from your videos. Thank you so much for all the great tips tricks and ideas. Have a happy new year!
I love it! I turned several similar pieces of Maple Burl that looked like that.
