Good tips about the trueing methods. But I too prefer the CBN wheels. Also the Wolverine system or something similar is a must for grinding accuracy and repeatability. Don't know why you split this to two segments. It would have only run about 25 minutes. And we watched bot segments any way. Or maybe you just wanted us to see the pitches for Robust and Thompson twice. VBG.
Hi Tim, new subscriber here, good information. I am always trying to get a better edge on my turning tools and I can really tell the difference when I get it right vs. when it goes wrong. Anyway I was watching and thinking that my HSS tools are definitely cheaper and smaller than the ones you use, but I was also inspired to think about possibly improving them by carving them bigger and longer handles, which I can see would be a big advantage, at least to the extent that I think it would reduce the stress on my hands as I turn things. Oh and one last question: I have heard conflicting opinions about attempting to sharpen Tungsten Carbide tips, I tried once with poor results myself, but do you recommend it? BTW I saw part one earlier.
Very useful information, thanks for the lesson
very nicely done. Thanks for the technique training.
Count me as a CBN user. One of the best moves I made is from a white wheel to CBN.
Part II - good too ! (BTW I like your style.) -Mike

Hi. Tim, I am wanting to buy a grinding jig, can you please tell me the exact model of which one you have, thanks? Cheers, Sean
👍
That'll be somewhat around $23, Tim. But very much worth it. Thanks for the tips!
Haven't had colored pencils since he was 5 huh? What about that colored pencil clock he made a while back?
CBN or bust...
I agree!!!!
I was wondering why no mention was made of it.
leave the wd40 at home.. Much better is just a tiny amount of ren wax
It's ok. Dentists call grinders lathes. ..aand, you actually could mount it on your lathe.. Lol
