    It's really sad! After spending your money to buy the land and build the walls, somebody decided to break it down. If it was a non-black person who owns the property, I doubt they would do that. This is what black people do to one another. I know exactly what I am saying....

    From what I've been learning/hearing this is why it's important to tie in with the local community before purchasing land. In Africa the land buying process appears to be more layered and not straight forward like other places.

    Accra lands are full of trouble.
    I always advise that anybody who wants to settle in Ghana should look outside of Accra.
    There lots good places to settle down in Ghana.
    The eastern and Central regions for example, are better alternatives and they aren't far from Accra.

    If you want little chance of issue buy in the areas around Accra or the North.
    In Accra you can go through all the right channels and still have issues with neighbours, land guards etc.,
    With regard to them breaking your wall, sorry to hear that but try to reach a financial agreement with them.

    Monique you are so right with Ghanaians thinking you are soft because you are nice to them and so they can walk all over you. I am proud of you for standing your ground and insisting on your brother’s right to his entire land. People build some structures to sleep in and don’t make provision for a simple hole in the ground toilet. Even when the government built flushable toilet for some communities, just to pay 0.50 Ghana pesewas to use it, mind you the charge is to provide toilet paper and water to flush plus a paid attendant to keep the place neat, they refuse to pay and rather go to the sea or the bush. It is a very sad mentality.

      @MoniqueTchimanga  2 года назад

      Thank you my dear 👑Sister!! You are absolutely right. We thought about contributing to build a public toilet in the area and were told what you’ve just said. We were told it will not work because there was one built around the school area and they vandalised it. Our mentality has to change in order for us to see progress. Are we willing to put our pride aside and drop our old habits that no longer serve us? People don’t want to make an effort for anything these days. Very sad indeed. 🤍🙏🏿❤️

    Bring your security guard food and beer and cold water. Provide for your 24 hour security guards in 2 shifts shelter and cameras. Check on them and always be respectful and nice!!!!!! I do NOT see this as a big problem. I was thinking of a scam. And also because the dispute is just that little part, I think you people can find a solution to it. I know it belongs to you, and your right. The best way is to find a solution, if not they might even distroy something which will be worse for you, and your hated by the community. This is just to get peace fo my and not looking over your shoulders over there. Just an advice. I am not saying they are right. Our African mindset is just, we have been passing there for 100s of years.

Do not complaint just do the research planning and back up security. Like thorn bushes, electrical wire on walls, and barking dogs. Hire security. ADT is in Ghana. Get cameras do not complain. People of Ghana owes us nothing. Many folks are poor and did not have your opportunity to make real money . Ghana min wage is $1.46 Get help and close to local villagers who are good people.
