Grizzly Bears! What history tells of guns and how did the Mountain Men, American Natives, Indians, Spanish colonists deal with them? Flintlocks or Caplock? Hawken, Bear charges?
People still hunt brown bears with long bows and recurve bows as well as compound bows. Tim wells hunts bears with bows and spears. All these weapons are still in use.
Stone Broad Heads are extremely deadly. Check out the Primitive Hunter. Also, when bears saw Native Americans, and they didn’t run, they died. It’s that simple. Hunting parties could easily dispatch bears. As they also had done with far larger animals.
@30-06john Tim Wells is a native American, and flint arrowheads and spearpoints are very good and are still made and used as well. Not trying to be argumentative. Just stating facts that you seem to be unaware of m

All impressive feats. But Native American's had little of the technology of today, like steel for arrow heads and spear tips. Thanks for watching!
With guides/other hunters with .375's on up as backup.

Wells blow darts black bears 😂
I want a little semi automatic pistol say a weld together Mac 10 style with a foreward magazine in say 45/70 with 15 round detachable magazines ???
Should be adequate self defense????
For anything on the continent...
That sounds like an AR-15 in 458 SOCOM or 450 Bushmaster, with correct ammo. Thanks for watching!
One could not hold such a weapon . A 45/70 has too much recoil!
Thanks for watching!
I've been hand loading the 45-70 hot for years up to Max to where it was about equal to the 458 Winchester magnum to heavy a recoil bah
One can most certainly hold and fire such a weapon. The gentle 'ministrations' the bear has in store for you
demand it.
I am 75 and have and hunt with a Hawken 54 cal.30" barrel Was a 36 inch had it cut a bit for balance. I shoot offhand most of the time
Great rifle and thanks for watching!
