@@itallia666 There's a reason why we've never met and an ocean between us, the powers that be KNEW we would be a lethal combination and should be forever kept separated!😅 We are cut from the same cloth! You're absolutely right about the 1970's and would like to add: the fight for women's liberation, protests and marches for things we believed to be wrong. So many things were going on all over the world during that time. The music also changed. We were introduced to punk rock (The Clash, Sex Pistols, New York Dolls, etc.,) progressive rock (which I'm still not sure what that is,) disco and rap. We were so full of daring and adventurous schemes because it was a freer time back then for everyone. The laws were there, but not as strict and society's rules were starting to bend as well, making it easier for us to think "so what if we get caught, what's the worst that they can do to us?" 🙃 I know for a fact that all the things I did back then, the ones I got caught for and the ones I didn't, if any of us were to do them today, we'd be in jail. In fact, the jail would have a revolving door! 😂 I am so happy I was able to grow up during that time and wouldn't trade it for the world. Yes, we've earned our "right" and wear our badge proudly. My adult son has said on many occasions that he wished he grew up then. I've started a little journal writing down my exploits, so if I happen to get Alzheimer's Disease, I can read about this crazy young girl who grew up in a fantastic era, and lived life to it's fullest! May you have many healthy sunny days ahead and enjoy all your memories. Peace and Love to you!
I remember buying this single and I was 12 at the time and never really understood what he was singing, but it was quirky and fun, unlike most music now.

Back in the school days my friend and i used to sing this song daily in the assembly hall, it's been 7 years now we still laugh and sing this song whenever we meet.
I remember this from a comedy movie back in the day and this song on a commercial just now made me think of this tune, couldn’t get it out of my head so I went to google and was like what song is this and hummed what I remembered and it popped up. What a time to be alive.

I remember my french teacher used to play this all the time, 9 years on and I can sing it word for word and often return to make sure I can still do it 😂!
I remember this being played over the school PA system at the end of the lunch hour and before the bell rang for class in primary (grade school). If it was released in 1977 I was 6 years old at the time. I never knew what this was called, but like everyone else the melody and chorus got stuck in my brain. It hasn't aged a bit and still makes me want to get up and dance. Thanks for posting!

During the intro that brass section deep down in the mix could fit straight into soul numbers like sweet soul music or in the midnight hour!
English Translation Lyrics [Verse 1] Wham! Bam! My cat, Splash Is rolling around on my bed He swallowed his tongue as he drank all my whisky As for me, I've hardly slept, I feel empty and reprimanded I had to sleep in the gutter Where I had a flash of inspiration Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh In four colours [Verse 2] OK, let's go! One morning A babe came round to my house She looked like a cellophane doll with curly hair She was wearing a plaster and had a hangover She drank my beer in a large rubber glass Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh Just like an Indian might do in his igloo [Chorus] It's all working out for me, it's all working out for me It's all working out for me-me-me-me-me It's all working out for me Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh It's all working out for me [Verse 3] OK, let's go! That babe was such a bitch What a vibration! Coming on the doormat Filed down, ruined, empty, but happy "You are the King of the Divan!" She says to me in passing I am the King of the Divan [Chorus] It's all working out for me, it's all working out for me It's all working out for me-me-me-me-me It's all working out for me Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh It's all working out for me [Verse 4] OK, let's go! Mind your own, keep your nose out Don't harm my planet Today's not the day the sky will fall down around my ears Or that I will have to go without a drink Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh It's all working out for me [Verse 4] OK, let's go! my baby upped and left She walked out on me, it's a shitty situation She broke everything, the sink, the bar And she left me all alone Like a total jerk Stuck here faced with the aftermath [Chorus] It's all working out for me, it's all working out for me It's all working out for me-me-me-me-me It's all working out for me Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh It's all working out for me It's all working out for me, it's all working out for me It's all working out for me-me-me-me-me It's all working out for me
I started to read it thought, nevermind I really dont need to understand it. It's like that quote by Morgan Freeman in Shawshank. Just the feel you get from it is what mattered and it's different for everyone.
In French the lyrics suck really 😂😂 and you can say.." mais le rythme est excellent ! I'm looking for music with this type of guitar sound somebody have a good song?
I first heard this on Radio Mi Amigo. They gave it a lot of air play back then. Bought the LP as soon as it came out and still play it from time to time. Brings back great memories of my youth.
You didn't have Mrs Gediss or Ward then. I would have learnt some French maybe if I had you teacher. Most teachers at my school were awful, boring and dull.
You teacher was genious, with a little evil side: I'm a native French speaker and there are still lyrics I don't get (and I promised myself long ago I'll never check on Google)...
Its amazing watching young people seeing the cereal advert and thinking this is a new song and band, jumping around saying how cool there music is......until I play it on here. To be fair, they then say how lucky there parents were to have great music.
Heard this song for the first time when my high school French Immersion teacher showed it to us in class. Years later & I still find myself coming back to it to this day.
This song transcends the language barrier because of its pure energy and fun nature. I used to think "Moi...lolita" by Alizée was one of the only French songs to reach the Top 10 in the UK, but this one did too, over two decades beforehand.
My friends sent me this years ago as a joke and... The joke gets better i actually liked it. Back then he had less views thsn me.... They put this on super troopers and its 7.2 mill now with 87,000 likes and a check in his mailbox....❤😂❤
This was popular when I was just out of high school. Jackass would sometimes play it when they were doing something crazy. When I heard it on Ozark it made me so happy. Such a cool song and it NEVER gets old!
I dreamed with this song today. I was at some coast, living my best at the sunset jumping on some trampolines. And this song started. In that moment, I was the best version of me, my life was happy and I had will to live. It was very strong to me. Maybe I will start to learn french.
Bought the US Sire 45 in 1979 (?) during the New Wave era of New York Radio. Visited Bleeker Street record stores that were chock full of Stiff, Zee and other UK labels. Artists like Talking Heads, Devo, Blondie, Elvis Costello, Lena Lovich and one of my favorites: Ian Dury. Fun times.
This used to make me laugh, back when punk was real punk and this was clearly Bertrands take on the sound of '77'. But as I got older, and became a bassist too, this tune has slowly grown on me...over nearly 45 years!👍🏿
Bertrand was the original Millie Vanilli. He was hired as a pretty face to pretend to be the singer after the song was written produced and sung by Lou Deprijck who was ten years older and not as cute. Seriously.

I honestly did laugh to myself when i wrote about my bopping around Woolworths to Plastic Bertrams Ca Plane Pour Mois.
Playing at max decibels
Im sure nowadays the cops would have been summoned to arrest this drunken female causing havoc..
Thank goodness there was such good humour & levity about!
My pal Peter was from such a posh family & was so sensible!
How we ever became such good pals, i know not, but i lead him into such calamities & crazy adventures & he never complained or left me in the lurch
Bless him!
I did however introduce him to his future wife so in a way his good nature & true friendship paid off!
They have been happily married for over 40yrs now & parents too
I think my other friend Laura who eventually married Peter was a bit like me & drew Peter out of his shyness, but she fancied him rotten ( i didnt fancy poor Peter at all so i was so happy for them)
I know she didnt pull him into schemes like i did.
Its brilliant to have such amazing memories & ive always felt utterly fulfilled in my life so now on the cusp of my 70th year i have no regrets & have loved every moment of being alive!
The best thing about being my age is you have earned the right to say outrageous things, swear like a trooper & say embarrassing things & others smile patronisingly & indulgently & say " Oh its just her age"
While i smile wickedly & know exactly what im saying...
Its the beauty of getting older
Being disgraceful & getting away with it...lololol 😆😆
Hope you are in fine fettle, and may you have many happy days ahead & blessings too, many smiles & chortles to boot.
Peace
🇬🇧👧
I am so happy I was able to grow up during that time and wouldn't trade it for the world.
The energy this song radiates could power ten thousand Tesla's.
If I listen to this in early morning I go out like my mind is dancing. You're right. Greetings from Italy
Do not understand a word but his energy is too much to not care what’s said
as all good pop should be
Aha more energise
Uh.. You really should understand what he is saying 😂 because Im French and it's very different from normal songs-
@@Yyyyzyyy "I am the king of the divan"
Ahhhh FINALLY!! I have been trying to find this song for months!! I finally found it.. so relieved..
I remember buying this single and I was 12 at the time and never really understood what he was singing, but it was quirky and fun, unlike most music now.
Same...I was 11 and so mesmerized by the song, so my parents just had to buy me the single.
Merci Plastic!!! quand je t écoute j ai toujours le sourire!!!!! toujours d actualité cette chanson!!!!
Ça plane pour moi aussi ,😘🌹🖤
Plastic Bertrand - Ça Plane Pour Moi ( That's the plane for me )
Wam! Bam!
Mon chat, splatch
Gît sur mon lit
A bouffé sa langue
En buvant dans mon whisky
Quant à moi
Peu dormi, vidé, brimé
J'ai dû dormir dans la gouttière
Où j'ai eu un flash
Hou! Hou! Hou! Hou!
En quatre couleurs
Allez hop!
Un matin
Une louloute est v'nue chez-moi
Poupée de Cellophane
Cheveux chinois
Un sparadrap
Une gueule de bois
A bu ma bière
Dans un grand verre
En caoutchouc
Hou! Hou! Hou! Hou!
Comme un indien dans son igloo
Ça plane pour moi
Ça plane pour moi
Ça plane pour moi moi moi moi moi
Ça plane pour moi
Hou! Hou! Hou! Hou!
Ça plane pour moi
Allez hop! La nana
Quel panard!
Quelle vibration!
De s'envoyer
Sur le paillasson
Limée, ruinée, vidée, comblée
"You are the king of the divan!"
Qu'elle me dit en passant houhouhouhou
I am the king of the divan
Ça plane pour moi
Allez hop t'occupes t'inquiètes
Touche pas ma planète
It's not today que le ciel me tombera
Sur la tête
Et que l'alcool me manquera
Hou hou hou hou
Ça plane pour moi
Allez hop ma nana s'est tirée, s'est barrée
Enfin c'est marre, a tout cassé
l'évier, le bar me laissant seul
Comme un grand connard, houhouhouhou
Le pied dans le plat
Ça plane pour moi
Thanks dude
Merci
Thanks so much! ❤️
Merciiiiiii!
Still all gibberish to me and to every civilized person :p (yeah I'm a Finn)

Plastic Bertrand. Thankyou. A brilliant way to learn French at school
I was a kid and heard this song and I didn´t understand but I felt this is special. Now I´m 55 and I hear this song and now I understand that this is just hot. Plastic was waaayyyy ahead of his time.
I love the speed, his voice, the vibe. I even understand the words, because I know a little bit French... Great song!
He admitted he didnt sing it though? Not his vocals. No one is aware I believe 🤔
Back in the school days my friend and i used to sing this song daily in the assembly hall, it's been 7 years now we still laugh and sing this song whenever we meet.
More like 47 years
I remember this from a comedy movie back in the day and this song on a commercial just now made me think of this tune, couldn’t get it out of my head so I went to google and was like what song is this and hummed what I remembered and it popped up. What a time to be alive.
My mother sent this video to me without an explanation. And now it’s been stuck in my head for weeks 🤣😂
To anyone in 2021 who searched, found, danced, laughed, sang the wrong words apart from, "ooh ooh ooh" but enjoyed every second of it I'm very pleased to meet you. Have a fantastic day, try be kind to a stranger today. 🙏🙏
:=)))))))
So ahead of time !!!! Still fresh 40 years later......
I remember buying this in the late 70’s still love it
It was in the German charts also for quite a while.
Lets goooooooooo
Ok?
You re the greatest
Let’s not
Oh look it’s clickbait man
You go here
Translated literally the title is "It Is Gliding For Me," in English i guess it would be similar to "it's all smooth sailing" or "I'm walking on air"
Heard this on Ozark and had to find it. Thank you!
Sir how many drugs have you taken?
Plastic: oui
C'est français! Si tu me voyais après la dose, c'est encore pire
Hold my glass of red wine 🍷 jean Paul going to do some more fat lines of coke 🤧

Guess your computers made out of wood ?
That's funny, mine too!!
What are you talking about?!
Right Leo, no concept of irony either! This thread was about respect for the man but I guess if you're not literal in everything you do, say or write, some dick will take offence!
A text bol.

Love this song, remember getting me head kicked in at a funfare with this in the background
Wow was that you? Sorry mate
Parfait.
Theres always major scraps at funfares for some reason
If l had to pick just one song to have playing while being kicked in the head at funfair this would definitely be in my top ten.
Haha made me laugh out loud this comment
This was the moment we realised Punk had gone international...sounds quaint today...but it fucking blew our minds back then!!!
The greatest use of the French language in rock music ever, stands the test of time ooh ooh ooooh
Ça Plane Pour Moi
It's had a resurgence of late in the UK (I'm typing this 2022-6-4) through use as the backing for a TV commercial. (IIRR for Kellog breakfast cereal.)
So much going on here its fantastic! I hear a glorious mix of anarchy in the UK, Subterranean Homesick Blues and a nice chunk of Johnny B Goode added to the mix. During the intro that brass section deep down in the mix could fit straight into soul numbers like sweet soul music or in the midnight hour!
I remember seeing this on top of the pops as a kid and being glued to the tele
Som rada, že som túto pieseň našla.
R.I.P Lou Deprijck🙏🏼❤️
Bugger. Didn't know he'd died. RIP.
Not to be confused, the man on video singing is himself Plastic Bertrand, Roger François Jouret.
Never understood a word he said. But loved it!
I am 48 and remeber this as a fookijng great song from my youth :)))
English Translation Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Wham! Bam! My cat, Splash
Is rolling around on my bed
He swallowed his tongue as he drank all my whisky
As for me, I've hardly slept, I feel empty and reprimanded
I had to sleep in the gutter
Where I had a flash of inspiration
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
In four colours
[Verse 2]
OK, let's go! One morning
A babe came round to my house
She looked like a cellophane doll with curly hair
She was wearing a plaster and had a hangover
She drank my beer in a large rubber glass
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Just like an Indian might do in his igloo
[Chorus]
It's all working out for me, it's all working out for me
It's all working out for me-me-me-me-me
It's all working out for me
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
It's all working out for me
[Verse 3]
OK, let's go! That babe was such a bitch
What a vibration!
Coming on the doormat
Filed down, ruined, empty, but happy
"You are the King of the Divan!"
She says to me in passing
I am the King of the Divan
[Chorus]
It's all working out for me, it's all working out for me
It's all working out for me-me-me-me-me
It's all working out for me
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
It's all working out for me
[Verse 4]
OK, let's go! Mind your own, keep your nose out
Don't harm my planet
Today's not the day the sky will fall down around my ears
Or that I will have to go without a drink
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
It's all working out for me
[Verse 4]
OK, let's go! my baby upped and left
She walked out on me, it's a shitty situation
She broke everything, the sink, the bar
And she left me all alone
Like a total jerk
Stuck here faced with the aftermath
[Chorus]
It's all working out for me, it's all working out for me
It's all working out for me-me-me-me-me
It's all working out for me
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
It's all working out for me
It's all working out for me, it's all working out for me
It's all working out for me-me-me-me-me
It's all working out for me
I started to read it thought, nevermind I really dont need to understand it. It's like that quote by Morgan Freeman in Shawshank. Just the feel you get from it is what mattered and it's different for everyone.
Haha the lyrics suck. It's better in his own language cos don't know what the hell he's saying.
In French the lyrics suck really 😂😂 and you can say.." mais le rythme est excellent ! I'm looking for music with this type of guitar sound somebody have a good song?
pretty good, although reprimanded does not fit the mood of the song, the sense is more like I feel like I've been hit by a bus
OK. It doesn't really translate very well lol would love to hear someone attempt it with those English lyrics though 😂
This song so iconic through many movies from the 90s and early 2000s and after two decades finally found this song.
Merci Ozark, 🇫🇷
I really love this song. It was really surprising to see it on La Casa de Papel
I first heard this on Radio Mi Amigo. They gave it a lot of air play back then. Bought the LP as soon as it came out and still play it from time to time. Brings back great memories of my youth.
Share some psychodelic-hippie-80's tales mr. Van Der Waal
plz
I could listen to this all day long.
My teacher put this on while teaching us French stuff and we all had a mad rave
your teacher must have been ace
deemdoubleu meh not really it was a French lesson
I would have loved to have seen that! Nice one.
Loved this track when I was apx 12 years old, still works 40 years later, a real century power hit!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰
I used to think "Moi...lolita" by Alizée was one of the only French songs to reach the Top 10 in the UK, but this one did too, over two decades beforehand.
thank you for this comment. You just introduced me to Alizee
It's Belgian / Belpop
elle est tellement bien cette chanson , qu'elle est toujours aussi plaisante à écouter plus de 43 ans après ...!!!
C'est un homme
Just discovered this song and its such a banger
My friends sent me this years ago as a joke and... The joke gets better i actually liked it. Back then he had less views thsn me.... They put this on super troopers and its 7.2 mill now with 87,000 likes and a check in his mailbox....❤😂❤
No clue what the dude is even saying. But it's hand's down one of the best songs I've ever heard.

It means i am the king of the bed doesnt it
the fact that this is still in my head after so many years, Love it!!!!!
Heard it in Eurotrip several years ago and got me hooked!
This was popular when I was just out of high school. Jackass would sometimes play it when they were doing something crazy. When I heard it on Ozark it made me so happy. Such a cool song and it NEVER gets old!
we used to speed roller skate to this song when I was a teenager, we are flying now :D
After all these years this song still hasn’t grown on me. It’s execrable.
I personally love this song but I appreciate your comment. It's clever.
I can't get enough. it plays in my car atleast once a day.
I dreamed with this song today. I was at some coast, living my best at the sunset jumping on some trampolines. And this song started. In that moment, I was the best version of me, my life was happy and I had will to live. It was very strong to me. Maybe I will start to learn french.
1978, et en France ( Port Leucate ) am Strand; schöne Jugenderinnerungen; mit 15 Jahren damals!!
Merci bien!!!
Fun times.

Who is listening to this Song in 2020 is a damn Legend😎
2021😂😂
2021🤣🤣🤣
I played this song in my Elementary school French class. The kids' favorite hands down. They really liked the Pigloo version.
2021 ..I AM LEGEND

This used to make me laugh, back when punk was real punk and this was clearly Bertrands take on the sound of '77'.
But as I got older, and became a bassist too, this tune has slowly grown on me...over nearly 45 years!👍🏿
Bertrand was the original Millie Vanilli. He was hired as a pretty face to pretend to be the singer after the song was written produced and sung by Lou Deprijck who was ten years older and not as cute. Seriously.
super piosenka

Don’t forget “French” fries 🍟
@@mikezuniga4066 The only "French" fries are those boiled by a clochard under a bridge in Paris using an old rusty tin of WD40 and a combination of various used oils and somewhat outdated potatoes from a nearby restaurant dumpster.
De bons souvenirs, je l'ai vu chanter dans une toute petite discothèque à ses débuts, à Nangis en Seine et Marne. Année 76
I remember this when I was a young teen. It was fab. Still is.
I've heard this song my whole life and only just decided to google it after hearing it on a Kellogs cereal commercial. What a great song that stands the test of time. Merci.
