Are you sure that ‘Discover’ and ‘Place’ map tile means the same? My question is whether ‘place’ means that you place the new tile discovered or undiscovered. So 1MP to place a new map tile. And another MP to discover that tile.
It can affect your hand size according the updated rule book. Because holding a negative morale token decreases your level by 1 until you can get rid of it.
Question on the movement and activating a space. Do I spend 1 movement to go into a mine production guarded by enemies and then spend another movement to perform the battle and activate it? Or is it just 1 movement to do all of this?
No, you can do it all with just one movement. But combat with neutral units require spending additional movement to continure the battle past the first round.
If I am moving through a tile with a mine & neutral monsters, am I forced to interact with the mine and fight the monsters or can I continue my movement through them and ignore both interactions?

This seems to be based on the old rulebook, negative morale no longer affects your hand size.
Maybe they changed it again?

You are forced to resolved the field you go on. Forced to combat to. There's some exeptions with cards that allow to bypass that.
