There's a lot more chorus on the guitars and the vocals are more "wet". I always thought Back For The Attack was too dry in production. I like how you can hear Jeff's backing vocals better here.
This was the 3rd and final single from BFTA. They probably had michael wagner mix it to help with sales? Would love to see this get an official release on a deluxe edition of this record.
@@Barbarian646 I have this version on CD. On a stereo system the final mix from BFTA sounds way better. This is too reverby. Things just get lost in the reverb.
I'm looking to hitch a ride back to 1987.

This is much better......the production on BFTA is too raw. Lynch said they "Overplayed" on ULAK and "underplayed" on BFTA
1st time hearing this song awesome,
Check out the whole Back for the Attack album, you'll be blown away
Me too.
Right now March 9, 2024...
I'm 42

Dokken hasta la muerte papá!!!
Such a great song !
Great song
This version sounds way grittier, rocks more.
Yeah, its more RAW and from a guitarrists perspective, way better!
TRES Heavy!!
que temazo!!!
Awsome
No reverb on Don's lyric intros.
Solo is hyphenated.
Redid the exit.
Correct.
Why didnt they just get Wagner to mix the whole thing?
According to Don, it was George who objected to using Wagener.
@rhoadnaroahs I would of got the rest of the band to out vote him

@@gabrielbrouwer Totally agree the KILLER outro solo George does to fade is gone , and the reverb just washes away the edge of the cd version.
No way this sounds better than the original. The solo is shortened, also. And no outtro lead guitar?
The better refers to better transfer from vinyl. Not claiming it's better than the version on BFTA.
