It is also perfectly okay to chew gum, just don’t litter, and don’t sell them! If you do this again next time, do take the Park Connector Network (PCN), definitely way more picturesque!
I would imagine their aim was to take the shortest route possible from point A to point B, and that'd be 27 km (which is the route they took). But the PCN coast-to-coast trail is 36 km long! Definitely more picturesque, but I guess they planned their route in such a way that they could spend some time at the Marina Bay resort at the end of the day, after their walk, and that probably meant they'd have to take the shortest route possible.

Oh man, I’ve been walking around Singapore so much these days to train up for a hike… but I haven’t made it to Sembawang hot springs!! Fun fact the springs were discovered on land that that was owned by one of my family members in the 1900s. It was a pineapple plantation at the time. So I totally should check it out. Also that road you were crossing when you said you made it, is real close to my place. That place with the lights is dodgy haha so many dodgy ktv and massage places around the edge of Little India.

Fun to see you visit my second home. There are several parts of Singapore “north” to explore. Mandai Zoo for example. Walking/biking the railway corridor from the causeway to the Tanjong Pagar railway station is another “cool” thing to do. Safe onward journey.
I discovered and subscribed to your channel shortly after your 2016 trip to Singapore as I was doing some research for my trip to there. Can't believe that was 2016! Thanks for the many hundreds of hours of entertainment!
This video made me so happy! I lived there 25 year ago and it was so great to see the new things but so many familiar things too. I can still feel that hot humid jungle air. Singapore really is a true melting pot of cultures.
Watching this from Monaco and screaming Monaco at my screen at the 15:00 minute mark....I would very much like to experience Singapore as you do. Goals.
you guys should have walked along our very extensive park connectors or island wide routes, which have nicer views then the construction zones and road sides haha
Kudos on the walk! I tried to walk across from West to East and I only made it half way. Trying to conquer the "tiny" island makes you rethink that the island isnt that tiny after all. Also its weird seeing you guys in my old college 😅
We have much more to offer up in the North of Singapore! Could be good content one day to visit Yishun for all the good food we have to offer and to spend a day at Northpoint City! Welcome to Singapore Kara and Nate!
As someone without any dietary restrictions I SO appreciate seeing you try a variety cultural foods! I use videos like this to guide what I try when I visit new countries, but a lot of the RUclipsrs I follow have gone vegan. Of course I’d still 1000% support you if you switch diets, but for now I just want to share how much I love watching you try foods that I would try too! ☺️
Hi, if you were to plan walking across Singapore again, I recommend walking from the North-east to the city centre in the south instead. The route that you took just so happened to also be the exact locations where an underground highway and metro line are being built, which is why you kept running into construction sites
I hope I’m not the only one that’s ribs were hurting after she started singing a whole new world! I love you guys you are seriously two of my favorite travel celebrities on RUclips and it is so worth watching her singing and you instantly panicking.

The thing about Singapore is that everything is always changing. Being a major business and tourism hub in the region, there is always going to be somewhere that is bigger, better, more flash. So in order to compete, you have to constantly make everything better and more attractive. Looking back at photos my family took when landing in SG, nearly 40 years ago, it is shocking how much things changed! I've only been away 3 years, but indeed, things have already changed!
I visited the Marina Bay Sands for 1 night when I went to Singapore in 2015 and the view from the pool was amazing! so cool to be so high up. Well done for walking all the way across Singapore, such a great way to get your steps in!
Just love these two!! Took me half a second to figure, "Asia's smallest country". Oh yeah, SINGAPORE!!! It is a fascinating country. Just. do. not. commit. crimes in this country. Just travel. eat. enjoy. Great video Kara and Nate!!!
The thing about Singapore that struck me was how clean it was. their pride in their city is obvious. We can laugh at the harsh laws, but it works and I would love to visit again.
The sad thing most people don't realize is that the laws were reactive. Which meant that someone somewhere abused the hell out of their privileges to the point where it became a problem before it had to be made into a law. And screwed up the scene for everyone else. Singaporeans call this "Spoil market" (short for "spoiling the market", it's in relation to supply and demand where someone will jack up the price of an item to an unreasonable amount and forcing the average price up, causing losses for everyone else).
You guys are so funny. Thanks for making me laugh even when you where in about 10 miles to 20 miles of walking on 30 mins of sleep. Glad you made it to the pool.

Baby Nate vs. Now Nate: 7 years and one mustache later, he's definitely gotten more open about spending money! 😄🥰❤
And we ALMOST even rode the Ferris wheel!! Lol
@@KaraandNate LOL, Almost! Soooo close you could almost see the riders having fun! 🤣
And he looked a lot better back then. What is it with that extra hanging over the sides mustache🤮😊
Wow massive respect to walking the length of Singapore in the Singaporean heat. I've only done that once as part of a hike for a Scouts activity and I can imagine how painful that can be 😂
Anyways so cool that you literally walked past my house at Toa Payoh (where y'all had the white carrot cake), I may have seen y'all without realising it at the time
Oh man, I’ve been walking around Singapore so much these days to train up for a hike… but I haven’t made it to Sembawang hot springs!!
Kara :"Do you want some gum?" As a Singaporean that cracked me up! 🤣😂 Btw, that's not the prison, it's the airbase.
You think offering gum to someone is abnormal? Kara needs to set an example as to why this law is INSANITY!!? Kara, what do you think?
@@QzAMYQz She's not offering, she's role playing as a black market gum dealer, you can figure it out when she goes "I'll give you a good price.".
You might scream "INSANITY!!!" but you forgot one important thing. To check why it was made into a law in the first place. Knee jerk reactions are never reliable.
@danielc2701 YOU are the one forgetting the main point... it's a piece of chewing gum!!!? WHY IS IT AGAINST THE LAW? Have you guys lost all of your sanity?? Are you that much of a 😺?
@@QzAMYQzit's against the law cause chewing gum once messed up our subway by not allowing the doors to close
@sierrafife That's completely INSANE!! Yeah, letting your idiotic government tell you that you can't offer gum to people sounds completely normal. You are lab rats! Grow a pair, Dude!
As a singaporean im so happy you guys ate visiting singapore 🤭 ive been watching your videos for over 4 years and im so happy you guys are in singapore ❤️
Come visit Singapore again soon!! And next time, do West to East! But please consider taking public transport... Double deck bus rides are a great way to travel! 😀
I have no idea if yall will see this, but i had to leave a message. I found your vlogs last weekend because i really want to travel the US in my 4runner or maybe a van, and i cant stop watching. I love you guys so much. So much so that im watching all your vlogs in order. I love how your TN accents were thicker in the beginning (im from Knox), especially Nate. You guys inspire me. I love your positive attitudes, your honesty and realness and super love the content. Keep it up!!!!
you came so far Kara and Nate. From dreaming to achieving!!!! so proud of you guys and sooo glad to be a part of your journey
i used to live in singapore and this was so amazing to see all of the surroundings this is one of my new favorite videos
Thanks for the many hundreds of hours of entertainment!
man you are a legend, you make your dream come true. you and kara are the best we ever see in youtube
thank you both for giving us hope.
Both of you have come a long way from your early videos, which were really genuine and real. You guys deserve all the success you've enjoyed!
I used to live in Singapore and I miss it so much. This video is bitter sweet as I've not been able to go back to visit yet :')
Nate just doesn't look like the old Nate that we all knew. This newer mustach concept keeps throwing me off. Does anyone else agree?
Hi, if you were to plan walking across Singapore again, I recommend walking from the North-east to the city centre in the south instead. The route that you took just so happened to also be the exact locations where an underground highway and metro line are being built, which is why you kept running into construction sites
I hope I’m not the only one that’s ribs were hurting after she started singing a whole new world! I love you guys you are seriously two of my favorite travel celebrities on RUclips and it is so worth watching her singing and you instantly panicking.
That pool plunge was EPIC & very much DESERVED ❤❤❤❤
Did they not shower before changing though? random thought since they just walked 22 miles and were very sweaty
I was in a car accident yesterday and was pretty down in the dumps. But this seriously took my mind away from everything. Thank you for what yall do!
Were you hurt?
@@hillaryscott9137 thankfully no! Neither was the other person. Both cars are mostly likely gonna be totaled tho
Amazing video and dedication to walk so much in a day, and explore Singapore in an unconventional way! Welcome to Singapore! 👍🏻🇸🇬
I love you guys!! No singing & no chewing or selling of gum!!! Much love from Chicago!!!
I just wanted to say that I don't usually buy stuff that I see on RUclips videos but b/c I have a surgically altered stomach and therefore cannot take in as many nutrients as most others my interest was peaked when I saw your ad for AG1. I got it ... I tried it and it (so far) has been life-changing. I have more energy ... naturally. I feel great and I think it's only going to get better and stay that way. I finally feel like I have found a solution to my digestion issues. Thank you so much for the recommendation :)
The 'prison' along Woodlands St 11, is part of an airbase :) And you can eat gum, just not sell it. Congrats for completing the journey! 😊
woodlands st 11 have prison and airbase?..why i dun know ?
@@aljunyao3609 Haha, you will see a very long stretch of fencing along the road. It's part of an airbase.
@@DellBoy81 are you sure is woodlands st 11?woodlands st 11 and 13 only have swimming pool and marsiling mart and also stadium..plus police station..when can u find nee soon airbase?..are u sleeping .
@@DellBoy81 u can take mrt to marsiling station and walk to see woodlands st 11..is just a minor small road, just beside the ntuc fairprice loading bay.
@@aljunyao3609 Ah, you are right! So sorry! I mistook as Woodlands Ave 12!! Silly me lol.
Burt Reynolds called, he wants his mustache back.😂
This is legitimately SO funny. Loved being a part of your long walk :)
07:14 it's gonna stuck in my head like forever... hiiiit thee roooojaaaak... dont you come back no more. Love watching your videos as always, I missed going to Singapore now.
Wow, welcome to Singapore hope you guy enjoy your holidays, we always welcome friendly tourists.😊🥰👍🏻
I’m so happy and excited that you were able to take the dip in the pool. I remember watching that 2016 video and thinking one day they will get there and look at you know. Wow!! I have been following you guys for a long time. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. ❤
actually the egg that yall cooked at the hot spring is edible! singaporeans eat soft boiled eggs like that for breakfast! it's realllyyyyyyy good 🥹 and that egg yall cooked was actually perfect
I almost said to my screen “I’d eat that for you!!”😂
Soft boiled eggs are a thing where they are from also. It was maybe just a bit too undercooked for them to meet soft boiled stage. (runny white)
@@jonap5740 I’m also from the USA 🙃
You two have come a long way to be here. Thanks for taking the time to take us along!
You guys are absolutely phenomenal each new video of yours is like a gift :-) Love you guys so much Hope you are doing wonderfully keep up the amazing fantastic awesome work so glad to be a part of your journey
2:00 That is not a military camp. But an abandoned military detention barrack.
2:20 Yes... Its a Campus... Republic Polytechnic
3:30 Behind the double fence is an Air force base. Not a prison. The 'Prison' was across the road from where you mistaken the military camp supposed to be at 2:00... But the whole thing has been torn down for redevelopment since 2020...
Can you guys do a series where you go back and undo the frugal mistakes of Nate from the past!? I would love to see it - a redemption series. Lol
LOL I am on board with this ⬆️🙋🏻♀️
@@KaraandNate Please!!!
I love Nate's frugality.
WELCOME TO SINGAPORE KARA AND NATE! Hope you guys enjoy your stay to the fullest here!
and yes. as a fellow who stays up here in the northern part of singapore, there really isnt anything special here. the central and south area is basically where all the fun happens
is cheaper to live in the north though, right?
*I got my cup of coffee and I'm ready for an adventure! Sending good vibes to you and everyone you love. 🥰*
Yay!☕️🥰💗
The "prison" you said on 3:20 is actually an airbase, you can tell it's an airbase from google maps when you change it to satellite view. The real prison is Changi Prison, beside Changi airport
So fun to see the loving interactions between the two of you. My fav couple✈
so proud of my country 🇸🇬
You two are nuts but mostly fun to watch.
I take this as a compliment 😄🫶🏼
Would be really cool to have bumped into you guys! Happy that you're back visiting Singapore :)
U guys did the best touring in Singapore. Not all tourist folks will do this... This is the best thing a tourist should do. Immerse in the local culture
My heartiest congratulations 🎊 to both of you .I'm a Singaporean ,now living in Toronto .Canada 😍 👍👏
Ahhh! You walked right past where I live! I would have invited you in for a cold drink if I'd known! Singapore is very humid 😅. If you ever decide to do this again, use the park connectors - lots more trees and less construction and traffic. Love your spirit 😊
those orange juices are the best!! also - our first time trying Indian food was almost the same except in New Zealand 🤣 we had just booked flights to India so we figured we needed to try the food once before we left 🤣
Kara is fearless!!! Walking ig on the wild side with her chewing gum😆😆😆😆🫶🏽
Kara and Nate are the Greatest!!!
5:57 actually its a kopitiam, hawker centres are much larger than the kopitiam, and both are scattered all around the city.
6:41 There's also Indian-style _rojak_ which uses a different, red sauce instead & comprises mainly of fried food e.g. Scotch-like hard-boiled eggs, seafood fritters, potatoes, fried dough
It Kara out here trying to quietly break the laws 😂😂😂 She’s hilarious! Have fun in Singapore! I’m glad you guys got that opportunity to revisit and swim in the infinity pool. You deserve it.
She’s hilarious
As a fellow Singaporean, we're happy that you guys are here, and we hope this is not the only video of Singapore!
Edit: It is. :(
My anxiety level was at it's limits when Kara brought out a pack of gum 😅
Hahahaha I was feeling spicy!!
You can eat the chewing gum and dispose of it properly. You can't sell it.
@@appleliseb8286 I'm sorry but you're wrong cause gum are actually prohibited like not even allowed if the authority saw you with it you can get fined or worse arrested except the nicotine gum that help people quit smoking that one is permitted
@@ItsJacksohhhhh No you are wrong lol, most citizens bring gum from malaysia and chew it, the police wouldn't care

Please come to Malaysia Kara and Nate. I’ve been following you guys since your first travel vlog. It’s amazing to see you are making your way back to Asia again !!! Such an idol
Omg that couple you took a selfie/video with had Brompton's!!
Can't believe I missed you guys in SG!!!! YOU GUYS LITERALLY WALKED RIGHT BY MY HOUSE 😢😢😢 and I didn't even see yall since I was in Korea 😢😢😢
Fun fact, eating gum is not illegal in SG, only selling gum is, so Kara you could have just eaten gum all you want :)
😂they read the rule and then got very confused. I was looking for this comment 😊
@@zipinha so true🤣🤣🤣🤣
Welcome to Singapore! I felt so sad for Kara, you can chew those bubble gums!!!
Also please do a East to West (or vice versa) next time! Tons of food along the way, in fact there's always a debate on whether East or West has better food :p
This was really a disappointing review of Singapore. They have so many fantastic walking paths and trails. You missed out on the monkeys, local flora, history, etc. Just a quick google maps search would have made this video much better.
That’s not d objective of d video. They wanted to walk d country from end to end, not show d beauty of it. If u don’t like it, keep your comment to yourself. This channel promotes positivity, not cranky people like u
Congratulations guys! That's awesome! It was fun watching you guys explore Singapore!❤️
hello kara & nate, im a citizen of singapore and i've been watching your video all the time! i also highly recommend you guys to try walking from west to east if you all ever come back again as that is the most famous route!
