Just look at any top level Rob player and you'll see how they hang around and bait the edgeguard. Also he can use his projectiles to cover his approach. Basically what I'm saying is, even if it's easily exploitable, it's not like there's no counterplay. A good Rob is always gonna be able to recover.

Kirby can 1) stay in the air for a very long time, allowing them to mix up their directions and jumps, avoiding spikes and other edge guards by simply jumping outside of their range 2) directional air dodge, especially considering Kirby has one of the best air dodges for recovering.
Lucario's average is actually at 65 or 75 percent, if I recall correctly. He has a multiplier that negatively affects him at 0. Generally, he should be tested while the multiplier is at 1.0.

Things to note: if you're using this as a practical recovery guide, remember that things with setup time like bombs will generally not be able to be used, lucario would have some % off stage, and it is very rare to be in a scenario where you start recovering from so low. He loses much much more height per iteration once you run out of air jumps, so you need some notable starting damage before you can blast yourself into the blast zone

See this is what i dont understand, kirby mains think they can 1 up people with their "superior recovery" but when you take into consideration characters like wolf and zss having way better recoveries than kirby but still not making it to kirby tier is when you realize that distance doesnt matter, but rather safety. There might be an extremely big brained way for Robin to recover. If he discard an empty Sword or Book maybe he can go through the teleporter while its falling, and up B into the Book, causing him to get hit and thus reset his up B.

I'm glad you went back to this topic. I had some things to say about the original video, like horizontal recovery, but I would also be interested in testing some of the more situation mechanics to see who can actually pull off the recovery more of the time. For example, ROB can almost always make that recovery since the fuel is only tied to his up special. Young link, however, relies on the bomb going off at the right time. Perhaps I'm just nitpicking, but perhaps that would give a better impression of who can more reliably recover in an average match scenario. There are always more factors to consider, such as Ness's recovery relying on a projectile to not hit anything else but him, and I've found those criteria to be interesting. By no means am I asking for a video talking about all these things. Good job on this one!
Robin can actually make it! If you shield cancel neutral special just right before its full, you can roll in to portal, jump and immediately hit special, he'll float up a bit, then do up special and he'll make it
First, you need to properly recover with ness, he wouldn't have made it, but it still makes a difference in other challenges. You circle around too slow and he starts to drift down, which actually hinders his score. (Same with lucas)

Its crazy how generous Sakurai is with his own creations. All 3 Kirb reps have ridiculous recoveries, meta knight, dedede and the big kirb himself all easily make it back from basically wherever
For Shulk, you can add a good amount of horizontal distance by changing the timing of the second part of air slash. Don't know if it's enough to make the jump, but it's pretty significant.

Honestly, I disagree with a lot of the people placed equal to or above kirby. If the recover requires a particular setup (tons of them), or requires significant skill (Mewtwo, duck hunt, banjo kazooie), can they truly be called "better"? They're inconsistent at best, and if you can't consistently recover from that distance, you ain't better
This is about pure distance. I mean in an actual game kirbys recovery is still kinda meh because its slow and easy to gimp. But thats not what this list is about. So its irrelevant.
1:23 and 2:48 I feel like Pikachu and Pichu can make it. You might have done something wrong. There are a few others that I feel the same way for, but Pikachu and Pichu are the biggest offenders here in my opinion.
Kirby recovery never really sucked in terms of distance, rather it's exploitable. For example Pikachu doesn't really have to worry about that. Also wall jumps aren't really factored in.

I actually did a bunch of testing with pikachu on this stage and actually found out that it is possible to make it to the ledge as pikachu

I feel like Pikachu and Pichu can make it. You might have done something wrong. There are a few others that I feel the same way for, but Pikachu and Pichu are the biggest offenders here in my opinion.

Kirby recovery never really sucked in terms of distance, rather it's exploitable. For example Pikachu doesn't really have to worry about that.
Also wall jumps aren't really factored in.
