VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Welcome to Angela's tiny home at Village Farm in Austin, where living small means living large in love and community! Angela and her husband, Neil, have created a beautiful and functional space in their Magnolia model tiny home, perfect for those looking to embrace a simpler, more sustainable lifestyle.
Step Inside the Cozy Magnolia Model
Angela's home boasts a proper kitchen with ample cabinet space, full-size appliances (except for the tiny but mighty dishwasher), and a charming Wedgewood blue color scheme. The granite countertops may not have been their first choice, but they’ve made them work beautifully with their chosen décor.
Smart Storage Solutions
Living tiny means getting creative with storage. Angela shares her tips, from using a shoe rack from Target and repurposed wine boxes for pantry items to finding the perfect small microwave to combine with the existing range hood. With a deep residential-size sink and 100 gallons of fresh water capacity, this kitchen is as functional as it is beautiful.
Living Room Comfort and Style
The living room is a cozy haven with wood detailing, a multifunctional lift-top table for storage, and a Samsung Frame TV that doubles as art. Angela’s gallery wall and custom shelf for pretty items only add to the charm. And let’s not forget the innovative folding stairs from Bcompact in Australia, which are both beautiful and functional, leading to two loft spaces.
Loft Spaces for Work and Relaxation
The first loft is Angela’s office and favorite nap spot, featuring a nest chair that converts to a full-size bed. The second loft is a zen zone, perfect for quiet moments and additional storage.
Multipurpose Hallway and Bathroom Bliss
The hallway serves multiple functions with a bathroom, closet, and laundry room. Angela’s bathroom features a bidet, faux stone detailing, and a full-size shower. The laundry room is equipped with a full-size washer and dryer, and a clever drying rack for gym clothes.
Serene Bedroom with Outdoor Access
The bedroom includes two spacious closets and a queen-size bed with a built-in headboard. The sliding glass doors lead to a screened back porch, creating an airy, expansive feel. The back porch, a favorite of Angela’s pups, is a safe and delightful outdoor space.
Living at Village Farm
Village Farm offers an incredible lifestyle with lot rent significantly lower than typical Austin rents. The screened back porch, multiple outdoor living spaces, and vibrant community make this tiny home feel much larger. The outdoor garden, water feature, and communal spaces provide a perfect blend of privacy and social living.
A Tight-Knit Community
Living at Village Farm means being part of a caring, supportive community. Neighbors are friends, often gathering on each other’s porches and working together on the farm. Angela gets emotional describing the wonderful sense of belonging and connection they’ve found here.
Conclusion
Angela’s tiny home at Village Farm is more than just a place to live; it’s a lifestyle choice that brings joy, sustainability, and community. If you’re considering tiny living, this tour is a must-watch. Follow Angela’s journey and get inspired to embrace a smaller, more meaningful way of life.

Hi. And thanks for all the lovely comments related to my tiny home tour. I am unable to comment or reply for some mysterious reason, but I wanted to answer a few question that were repeated in several comments. My friend and neighbor, Lisa is helping me out by posting this note.
First, I want to assuage the concerns of folks who fear that our pups LIVE on the porch. They do not. They share every inch of our tiny home with us. They were only on the porch during the tour because we didn’t want them to get stepped on (or bark) as we were filming. My tiny 12 pound chihuahua mix really appreciated being referred to as a medium sized dog… It made his day. Most of us here in Tiny Town have dogs, and dog parties are frequent events as we all take our fur babies out for walks several times each day. We are a pedestrian friendly community with cars only around the perimeter and walking trails throughout. We also have 2 dog parks for safe off-leash time. Pups are very happy here.
Next up, yes, my home is a park model RV. Every home at Village Farm is in that category, and yes, we are an RV park (albeit one with a farm in the middle). That park model designation means we have 399 square feet. Lofts and porches are not counted in that number. My home was built by Clayton Homes. When I referred to my builder when talking about the many custom changes I made, I was actually referring to my local general contractor. My home was built during the Covid lockdown and no customization was available thru the builder during that time. All of my custom work was completed onsite after we took delivery of the home.
A few people asked why people don’t just buy land and put their tiny on that rather than pay rent in a community. There can be many reasons for this, although often it has to do with zoning laws and taxes. In many areas, there is a minimum number of square feet for a home to be designated as a primary residence. As a result, tiny homes can often only be added to a property as an accessory dwelling unit once a traditional stick built home is present. That is the case in Austin. It is also quite expensive to bring in city water, sewer, and electricity for just a single tiny home and while many people are happy to be off grid with wells and composting toilets, that is not our comfort level, so a community suits us very well. We also really enjoy neighbors. Taxes… We have no real property and we have no land, so no property taxes. In Texas, property taxes are about 3% of the market value of a home and Austin’s median home price is currently $560,000. That’s $16,800 per year… forever… assuming the market stagnates. Otherwise its going up every year. That’s a major reason we sold our pink princess and went tiny.
Some wondered where/how my husband fits into our home. We share every inch of the home, although I admit I get the lion’s share in the closet category. Fortunately, he is comfortable with the whimsy, family photos and art walls, and he doesn’t share my clothing disorder so it works.
Related to the folding stairs… BCompact is the amazing Australian company that created those beauties. We love them so much, but I did want to mention that there are a few reasons why the stairs original to the home didn’t suit us (yet look and function very well in several homes in my neighborhood). Our home faces east, sits under 2 giant oak trees, and has a patio cover over the front door and 2 window. As a result, we have less light than homes with different orientations. That low light made the stairs feel oppressive in our space. The BCompact stairs opened up the space for us while allowing us easy access to our lofts.
Finally on the topic of “stuff”. While some folks who go tiny are minimalists, we are not. We have a small energy footprint simply due to our small size, but we love our family photos and art and souvenirs from our travels. Those things are what create a home for us and they bring us joy. The line between whimsy and clutter is very personal and ever changing, and tiny living is an ongoing process of culling, curating, and revising. Reduce, reuse, recycle are always a part of that process. Again, thank you for the many kind comments.
Absolutely lovely, your home and you, too! You really could do well designing and decorating tiny homes for others! And you appear to be doing well with your pots. 😉Thank you for sharing. ❤❤❤
How big are your porches?
Thank you for sharing! And your lovely diplomatic response to inquiring minds😉 The fact that you have a pedestrian friendly zone as well as dog yards made me so envious!
Thank you for taking the time to address all of this. I LOVE your tiny home. The only thing missing for me is a bathtub.
I love your house it's spacious especially the bathroom ❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you for sharing ❤
Someone needs to hire this woman as their spokesperson! And then as their designer for any model showroom for tiny homes. Her home is beautiful. - Loved "I have a clothing disorder!" haha!!
She is a wonderful speaker and showcases her home so well…I’m envious of her creativity…but the best part is the ability to travel big but live small..
Absolutely agree - I would hire her in a flash!
Beautiful tiny home
Hello all fellow "clothing disorder" sufferers! I have been in sobriety for 6 days and have managed well, so far. No --- really. I wish I could down size but my husband hoards EVERYTHING but clothes, so we are stuck right now in our home. And I do mean stuck. Angela WHERE did you get the multi tiered fountain on your front porch? Love it and all the other tiny innovations you pointed out. Thank you so much for the tour.
I just thought the same thing, she’s so well composed and her delivery is on point
Happy to call Angela my neighbor! She is a real gem and asset to our little community!
My dream is to live in a community like this. Your neighbour is lovely and made an absolutely beautiful home. ❤🇨🇦
wow! that's cool! I can see two friends sipping tea and watching the outdoors and dogs:) such a tranquil little movie I just played for myself! ya'll take care. the community is so lovely
This person MUST be a professional writer and speaker. Her amazing tiny home is topped only by her communication skills and graciousness.
Lol, I unknowingly just wrote something similar!
"A clothing disorder" ha ha! This is such a great home. Probably one of the nicest tiny homes I've seen.
The best stairs I have ever seen in a tiny home!!!
I agree those stairs are epic!!!
The stairs are EPIC ❤
Are these ting homes Park Models?and are any for sale right now. Are they THOWS OR PERMANENT.
Yes, such a clever solution!
yep it is the best I love them
When she got emotional, it just made me want to give her a hug. What a lovely place for beautiful people!
What an elegant, lovely woman! Her house is the freaking bomb!❤
She could make a fortune re-creating this space for others. Absolutely stunning work! ❤
Can we talk about this woman’s OOTD? Her home is like her dress style!
She looks absolutely stunning!🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💐💐💐
What is ootd?
@@theresabrown1272…. It stands for “Outfit Of The Day”
I thought tiny house living was aligned with minimalism. This person has so many tchotchkes and such in her house. It feels more like a retail boutique than a home .She should’ve stayed in her 3200 foot Victorian instead of trying to cram so much stuff in such a tiny space. it’s very busy but I guess to each his own they say
@@theresabrown1272 I was going to ask the exact same question!
@@theresabrown1272outfit of the day! 😊 check out Dressing Your Truth with Carol Tuttle 💖 changed my life in the very best way
I love this woman’s energy. She really has a way of speaking and telling her story.
Those ladder/stairs are the coolest thing I've seen in all my tiny home-viewing
I watch tiny home vlogs all of the time and this one is in my top five. Just absolutely beautiful and PERFECT!!!
This is one of the most well made tiny house I’ve seen! So well decorated, so artfully done. Thank you for sharing!
She's created a magical space. I love it all! 💙
Wow, everything is beautiful, including the house, the furniture, the arrangement, and even you are an attractive, sophisticated lady. I loved your elegance and your clothes. Thank you for this beautiful tour.
Best idea ever.. hanging your necklaces in your bathroom window👍👍
I loved that bathroom window too. looked like stained glass... and the curtain. I love color tho. my house looks like a piñata has exploded😂
No one I've watched has ever showcased their tiny better.
I just noticed you have two lofts and a bedroom. Wow! Like I said before excellent space. Lucky girl……👍☮️
Making tiny spaces functional and stylish is such an art form, nice work with those folding stairs!
Lol This isn't tiny, This is very much comfortable and spacious with two lofts and a bedroom? Good Build Good Buy
I love the idea of jewelry as a decoration on the window!
Best tiny home I've ever seen - love all the design changes she made - especially the outdoor/porch spaces. Those folding stairs are so creative. She is a fantastic spokesperson for these homes - and the fact that she is in a great community makes it all the more sweeter.
If I ever were to live in a tiny home....THIS is what it would look like...and I would want Angela as my neighbor!! I watched this video twice so I could look at all the beautiful details again!! What a joy...and so inspiring!! Thank you Angela...thank you Tiny Home Tours!!! xo
I am so glad you had this interview tour with her. What a creative solution the park found to allow a tiny home community. I do not get caught up on exact definition of 'tiny home' and sq ft. I think this size and layout would be right up my alley. I know I was really responding to it as each space was showcased. The kitchen space seems larger (and certainly more beautiful) than my own in my smaller house of 1000 sq ft. You see where there is plenty of storage places for everything they need. I loved everything about this. The stair solution is perfect and artistic, just like she wanted. She is confident and well composed, very clear in her messaging and speaking. She must be a presenter or speaker (or have/had that as part of her duties) of some sort in her professional life. What an absolutely beautiful home. I love how she kept only the pretty things, and sentimental things that surround her with wonderful memories. I too have looked at more tiny house videos than were necessary, and this is in the top 3 for me!!
I think this beautiful home is now my favorite tiny home of all I've seen
8:51 Most mind blowing stairs every! I love how when they are collapsed they are like an art installation 🤩
Without a lie this is the cutest, most inviting tiny house I have ever seen.
Wow!! I always look for outside space. This is BEAUTIFUL
Your tiny is beautiful. I love your upgrades, they are so practical, such as the shelf around the living area. The microwave/hood combination, open shelves in your kitchen, etc., etc, etc. I am 70 years old, living in a condo in Ohio so I feel that I have missed my opportunity to relocate and transition into a tiny. I love the idea of living in a close knit community where people love and look out for one another. Congrats on making the move and continue to enjoy your tiny.
This is one of the best tiny home videos I’ve seen. She’s made this home comfortable. It looks like a home. She is also humorous. The stairs are so creative. I’m happy for her. She knows and enjoys her neighbors, that’s so important, sharing life lovingly. I wish them well 🌺
What a tasteful home! I really like the folding stairs. A great piece of innovation from my fellow Aussies 😊
Beautiful tiny house!!! Way too much "stuff" crammed into the space for my taste but everyone has different ideas. I just find this one too busy and filled top to bottom with excess decor that overrides the beautiful lines and structure of the building. She has managed to keep it functional in spite of that.
my dear, it's hers not yours
This lifestyle update requires a lot of courage and there's beauty in that. ❤
I never thought I could live tiny, but circumstances over the last two years have shown me that not only could I downsize (putting fear behind me), but live better for it. I seriously evaluate purchases now and have narrowed my hobbies to a manageable few. I would quite comfortably live in a tiny.
I'm SO Jelly! Great contractor is like finding a unicorn these days❤
Not the contractor but a great designer and carpenter is very hard to find.
I KNOW 😞
They make it sound so easy
Oh..😞looked Exactly LIKE my boy🙏
We love to see beautiful communities and fabulous tiny homes! Thanks for sharing. We didn't know we had a great kindred neighbor.
Absolutely beautiful not so tiny, lol. when the tour started my eyes went to what i know now are the stairs, i thought it was wall art, very unique. When we got to that part of the tour i was amazed by the design and CLEVER use of the space. The bathroom tiles where also eye catching if you didn't mention they where foe i would never have guessed elegant touch, and also clever use of window with your jewelry hung out and true it will never be used if just put away in box. Thanks for Sharing... Go SFGiants!
Tiny houses like this are perfect looking especially on the inside
and how they are set up with the rooms and this is a really awesome
looking tiny house have a great weekend and Thank You.🇺🇲🏠🏠🇺🇲
We couldn't agree more. We love this home!
This is the most beautiful tiny house I've ever seen. The house design is great. Her style makes it phenomenal! There's alot of hard work and love here!❤
I love the placement of the windows! Such a great place.
Angela and the builders did this home right! 💛💛💛💛
Very artsy and individualized- lovely
Love the blue in the kitchen, my favourite colour, beautiful, lots of extra space and a very functional and gorgeous house ❤❤❤
Wow.... I really love your Entire fireplace Wall.. THOSE STEPS ARE GENIUS. Just Perfect! 😊
The bad thing about a tiny home is the zero pantry space. This house is very nicely laid out and decorated.
I like the outside spaces as well as the home itself. Great place.
@@maryeliason1504
I think they did great with the outside space, too.
Where did you get those collapsible stairs, I've been looking everywhere..
I love your artsy style❤
@@streetsmartintelligent your comment may not be seen, you replied under my comment...
@@streetsmartintelligent she talks about it in the video and also in the message she has on the thread.
Hands down my favorite tiny home of all the hundreds I’ve watched video tours of!
Her outdoor spaces -- chef's kiss!
Where did you get that fountain with the bowls! My goodness! I love it!
Hi Lindy, I just found it... I love it too! Hi-Line Gift Ltd on wayfair..metal weather resistance fountain
I’m drooling!! It’s gorgeous inside and out!
This is one of the most livable and well-thought out tiny homes that I have seen. It lives big and feels big. What a lovely home; thank you for sharing it with us!
Finally…someone using the fold up steps!! I was wondering when I would see that in a small house with a loft. It’s a beautiful little house with some great ideas. Thank you for the tour!
I love the cluttered-but-curated interior design!
I love the layout, foldaway ladders and facade, especially the horizontal slats😻
Your home is so beautiful!! You have a lovely eye for decorating and your porches are amazing! Those stairs!! 😍 I'm actually really jealous of those, they're absolutely gorgeous! We live tiny too, and the community is def what makes our life even more amazing also.
I've lived in beautiful, huge homes but none of the neighbors would chat for more than about 3 mins. Its a whole awesome vibe in these communities I think. I'm so glad you've found your happy place. ❤ 😊
Love your house and the changes you made. Glad to see someone that celebrates Passover in a tiny house. I was beginning to think that I was the only one looking at tine houses.😊
I’d like the step up from tiny to smallish? But this woman is great! She makes me want to move there
Love every inch of your plc. It's so warm and welcoming. U can always stay tiny comfortably in a maximalist way.
Really loved this tour. Sincerity, humility, gratitude, beautiful use of space, creative solutions (those stairs are absolutely brilliant!). Tremendously in love with the color palette. Truly appreciative. Thank you so much for sharing your space with us.
Absolutely everything about this woman and her home is Grade A, Prime, Top (open😊) Shelf and Simply Beautiful!
I am in love with every single thing inside and outside this home, just beautiful!!!❤
What a beautiful tiny house! You've shared a lot of ideas when it comes to designing both interior and exterior part of your tiny home. You are truly a designer!
Thank you for making this. This is the best presentation I have ever watched (and I have been doing this for a couple of years. Beautiful and well designed.
What a beautiful, magical space, both inside & out! I'm in love with their place.
What a beautiful home you made! You can see the love in all you did! Bravo!
She's a great communicator and just a lovely presence in this video. The home is very nice, as well.
Wow, a Tiny home a couple could actually live in, wonderful. 😊😊😊
i think this is the most fabulous tiny i've seen, those porches are everything...Angela left no crumbs
wow - the folding ladders, the hat driftwood rack, etc...very cool [decorated] tiny house. thank you for sharing
Very beautiful. I think the community sounds like the best part.
The tiny home community never ceases to amaze us. So many friendly faces!
Really love what this beautiful lady has done with her tiny home! Everything is lovely and stylish. I especially love the porches, so cozy and comfy! My two favorite items are the folding stairs and 4-seater convertible on the front porch.
This home is stunning!🥰✨️✨️! Everything about it is top tier!! ❤

Thank you ❤ for the tour from your heart ❤
How I would love to live in such a community ❤ with a beautiful neighbor like you ❤️ blessed is your family ❤
Truly a lovely tiny home.
I am so glad I clicked on this video. She is soooo stylish. I remember visiting this community and was extremely impressed and wanted to buy but I would like to live more North of Austin.
This.
Exactly what I would love to own!
Love this tiny home and she presents it so, so well. And, the best tiny home I have seen yet. Thank you for posting.
I’ll be in Austin in November for a retreat and would definitely love to see this community ✨
Woah, the tiny home tour to end all tiny home tours. 😊 It is beautiful, the owner is lovely, and I love how she introduced (or didn't introduce) the concept to her husband. 😀 I agree with another comment. The porches appear too small for the medium-sized dogs.
Tiny homes are the BEST way to live !!
Gorgeous home and hostess. Thank you for sharing.
What a beautiful home!
Angela, thank you for the tour of your lovely home. As others have pointed out, it isn’t the tiniest of tiny homes. But it is quite cozy and charming all the same.
I’d like a version of your home, but with the original metal staircase. Your stairs are pretty, but I like traditional stairs with a railing. And the lofts and ledges would be perfect for my cats.
Again, thanks for sharing your home with us. Cute outfit, by the way. I love jumpsuits.
These kinds of features can definitely help make retirement a bit easier. It's been two years since I retired with $470k, and while inflation has made it harder to keep the same lifestyle, downsizing my home has helped manage expenses. I focus on cheaper activities to make my savings last, and hopefully, I won’t outlive it
I’m nearing retirement myself, and I had similar concerns. I started investing later than most, and just relying on ETF compounding wasn’t cutting it for me. After working with a financial advisor, I managed to restructure my investments and am now on track to retire with around $5 million. If I hadn’t sought advice, I doubt I’d be as confident in my plan right now.
I’m in a similar boat, trying to figure out the best approach for my retirement portfolio. How did you find your advisor? I feel like I need that kind of guidance too
I usually steer clear of recommending specific people because financial needs are so personal. But I can say that working with Emily Ava Milligan has made a world of difference for me. I noticed her strategies are tailored to fit personal goals and make sense for different needs. It might be worth exploring to see if her approach resonates with you.
Thanks for that. I did a quick search and found her page. I was able to email so I sent over a few questions to get more info. Appreciate you sharing
This is my favorite tiny houses EVER! You have done a great job making the home so lovely, inviting and practical!
This is absolutely stunning.❤❤❤ Probably one of my favorite tiny houses ever....
