    Thank you so much for breaking the types of beds. My sister and I realized the “cooling” foam toppers would for the sciatica and menopause stage yet I’m more hot and sciatica hurts more intense when I get in bed. Super Calm and informative and finally a doctor that’s being honest instead of telling me not true it’s just normal heres more chemicals to take.

    I just bought a medium firm 900 coil mattress. My mattress was old and killed my back and hip. I'm a side sleeper. Foam mattresses are terrible in my opinion. They're overpriced and do not provide great back support. The day after sleeping on my new mattress the pain went from a 10 to a 2. Medium firm, higher coil, with a cooling foam cushion top worked for me. I sleep much better too!

      What is the name of your mattress you purchased and any other helpful information that I need to get the one you have?

      Was it a single or double because that can affect the coil count .

      @@Found4655 No idea what his bed is…BUT…I’m shopping right now for a bed. I found Beautyrest Harmony Lux and Black both have 961 coils…that’s for a queen sized bed. The Black is around $3K…but the Harmony Lux medium firm to me, is just as nice, and around $1500 including the base/box spring. If you have a box spring it’s about 300 bucks less. Good luck! I’ve enjoyed my Beautyrest for nine years, but it’s beginning to sag and I’m ready for a new one because my low back is killing me.

      Oh, also! Both these have the foam with cooling and the innerspring… great for pressure points.

    Hello, thank you for your video- I have disc problems, sciatica and arthritis in my back- I also am a hot sleeper- I loved the feel of the new purple mattress but probably should go with the ones with springs and the layers on top in the Firm -since I’m 189 lbs and hubby is 220 lbs - what do you think? We were also looking at a Simmons Beauty Rest in the firm- I really like the feel of the Purple though ??

    Which specific mattress products and/or toppers do you recommend for those with sciatica and lower back pain?

      Since every country or place varies, it’s hard to recommend a specific brand or product.

    I haven't changed my matress in 30 years and I get severe back aches so I'm wondering if that could be the issue.

    Do you have suggestions for people who *have* to sleep on their stomachs?

    • @drmatthewposadc
      @drmatthewposadc  7 месяцев назад

      Yes, its not recommended since it adds increased pressure to the lower spine

      Wow very interesting and I hope you feel better soon. It’s hard to say but I feel like there’s more than just a mattress issue here. Have you been to a corrective chiropractor? As for the mattress,
      It really depends the kind of mattress and how it’s built. Hard for me to say over the internet
