Susan Kelley...
Yes, Doris was very kind and good-hearted. Unfortunately, when it came to husbands, she got the raw end of the deal. She always said she just wanted to be a housewife and mother. The career just happened naturally, and it truly interfered with the dream.
I love her cute little "Mm-hm" and "Uh-uh"
Amen!
Its sweet too see Jon daly trying to relax the first guest good man

Burma Shave!
Kind of interesting that the gold recored was presented there. isn't there usually some kind of ceremony for those things. I also can't believe she was not capable of carrying it. I bet she had a car waiting outside.
It seems like the panelists were surprised WML could book the fabulous Doris Day since she wasn't in theater or on TV, at the time.
Doris was beautiful.
John Daly was so eloquent and had such an ease with the panelists and guests.
0:10 - Stopette, America's leading spray deodorant, "Now with its anti-immunity factor". Yikes!!
Watching Doris Day, poised and beautiful, gracious and charming. What a star!
Slow down heart...
Wow 1954. This is the oldest clip of the show I have ever seen. Stopette Poof. I wonder how long that product was around. Doris had such a big smile and good figure of course. Too funny what are you doing after the show.
She’s not only America’s but the whole world’s one & only true Sweetheart, both onscreen and off.
Wow! I don't remember a time where Doris Day had not yet been on television! (I was born 10 months after this episode). I sure do remember her rendition of "Secret Love" though. (While Caterina Valente's far jazzier version remains my favourite)
Doris Day was such a beautiful and classy lady.
In 1954 she still had not reached her peak.
And she only stopped working because she wanted to in the early '70s. She was still very much in demand.
DORIS DAY WAS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL AND TALENTED FUNNY WOMAN !IWOULD HAVE GIVEN ANYTHING TO HAVE MET HERSHE WASNT A GOLDEN OLDIE,SHE WAS JUST PURE GOLD,A RAY OF SUNSHINE!!!!😎
sorry I am French ... I know English, but just a little bit !
Maryse Pradet...est-ce que vous vouliez écrire quelque chose en français ou en anglais? Est-ce que vous vouliez faire des remarques sur cette émission ?
With that High Pitch voice that she makes, Doris is sure looks like a Blonde Baby doll that they used to sell in Toys Shop.
