- *Many people are commenting on the contradiction between the scripture reference / preaching and the clips from Lone Survivor. Please note, it’s not that deep. This video is about not giving up. If you’re a Christian, I hope you’re encouraged by the scripture and the preaching, if you’re a Marine or service member in general, I hope you get some motivation from the video clips. If you’re neither, then this video may not be for you. Too many people seeing things that aren’t there. So just sit back, grab some crayons, get motivated, and don’t ring the bell.*
When you are struggling in your faith, feeling far from God, or feel like you have wandered too far, don't give up. Run to Christ and don't ever, ever ring the bell. Galatians 6:8-9

I'm a 22 yrs old, an asian, a college student taking up a Marine Transportation course. Tuition fee is so expensive, My mom has diabetes and its complicating her body now, she can no longer read small letters, its affecting her eyesight and she is the only family member I have left, my father died when I was just 5 yrs old due to alcohol addiction, and I don't have any siblings. We are struggling now financially to be honest, I keep breaking down at night because this is really my dream to become a seafarer or a seaman, drive ships bla bla bla, that's my childhood dream and because of this situation I am now, my chances are slim to reach that dream☹️💔. I keep going back here every night watching thia video to try and keep my morale and keep believing on me and on my dreams. I keep on praying that my mother will get well enough to live and see my succeed in life. She is the only I got. I need prayer guys, I need god right now. I just want to be successful in life and reach my goal of becoming a seafarer.

You can do it brother, you’ll be a great captain one day. Even if you have to start as a green deckhand & work your way up, you’ll make it. & whether your mom is alive at that point or not, she’ll see you, so will your dad. They’ll always be there with you, no matter where you go.
@@BryceJose97 Thank you brother, your message made me tear up, your timing is right, right when I needed to be cheered up. As of now I have finished my studies and is currently onboard a ship now as a deck cadet. I am still far from the 12 months required sea time ( I am just 2 mnths onboard now) But I am not giving up despite the challenges life has given to me. I know god will not givr you a storm that you can't beat. I trust in god. I keep praying on him.
@@turcenoarthurjamil4364 hell yeah man that’s amazing! I knew you’d find a way to do it. & hell you’ve got the hardest part over, taking the first steps! You’ve got two months down already, before you know it you’ll be 4-5 years in, promoted on your way to your own boat & crew. Just always remember when it gets tough how much you wanted it before you had it, you won’t give up.

When many around me quit during basic training the one thing I kept telling myself was "it's only 6 weeks." And then during my fourth class year the one thing I kept telling myself was "in one year I get to be the upper classman."
you are never alone. it's easy to quit, there's a million reasons to quit. find the 1 reason, find the thing that drives you the most, the thought/idea/ purpose to keep going.

I needed to hear that I was feeling like quitting and I saw this and it reminded me that god is with me and to keep going no matter how hard it gets because all things are possible through Christ who gives me strength

Amen too that my dream is to become a royal marines commando I went for my candidate preparation course on Wednesday. But I failed and now I know what I need to do to be successful because Jesus will get me through it and all things are possible with God. These next 3 months is going to be pure hard work,discipline,training harder than ever and I've got the perfect training plan. I got knocked down but I am never out off the fight. Stay faithful in the Lord Jesus Christ and stay dedicated don't ever give up no matter what life throws at you💯💪.

Yeah they do! They must have some kind of mental resilience to block out pain and fatigue. There is only so much mental and or fiscal torcher that a human body is capable of enduring. Definitely a different mentality than most people are ever able to harness. Thank you to all branches of the military.

ive tried some of the navy seal swim tests ~ hard
these guys are superhuman !
Those tests was probably just the screening process they use for applicants, I'm prior Navy Seabee, and when I was going through basic back in 2006, there was a kid in my division that selected seals as his rate (job), and in boot camp people that select seals as their rate go do a different PT during the morning from regular PT for other rates, and it's not the actual PT/swim that will be taken place during BUD/s, the kid switched rates after the first week of a small fraction of PT for seals screening process, not trying to undermine what you did, but it's not just a swim qual that you have to do, also I heard they do alot of swimming with fins so if your ankles aren't use to using fins/flippers then you won't make it either, also it's all about mental toughness, pain in you body is temporary, pushing through the pain and knowing it only temporary is the true key to surviving BUD/S and any other military training.

If only politicians and countries appreciated their service personnel. Good soldiers who love their country and give everything incl their bodies and lives. If only they were really recognised and appreciated by the public and governments. Soldiers should get more support while they serve and when they leave as they do need help as do families who have lost. True hero's who fight for a country and government who mostly lie to them use them for their own gains as soldiers and families don't gain much. The rich and political people are the only ones who gain as wars are based on human greed and financial gain, political influence and lies.
