I’ve had a Mercedes cl500 c216 from 2007 for over 2 years and been unable to pair my iPhone. Never found an effective set of instructions nor after watching maybe 80 videos on how to do it. None gave the complete procedure until yours. I was beginning to think it was faulty so many many thanks for your trouble.
Hi, and thank you for your excellent videos which 'do as it says on the tin" and are extremely helpful. In my recently purchased 2008 SL 350 (2006-2008 facelift model), I was able to connect my iPhone via the Bluetooth gizmo in the box which my phone recognised, unfortunately, I had no password at hand, but you came up trumps and it connected immediately after I added the password you passed on via your video. I did not use the first part of the process you have highlighted as my COMAND system did not show a 'Bluetooth' tab, however after linking via the gizmo in the armrest, I now have everything highlighted in your video, eg. call and receive calls capability, the speakerphone is operational, and my address book as been added to the COMAND system interface. Thanks!
Hello brother watched all of your video's they are si well done this has been the one I shouted with joy thanks was pulling my hair out until you gave me the code Thank you John a friend from Glasgow
I have put a bit of work into scanning and 3d printing a holder for phones that sits in above the ashtray on the r230. I've incorporated wireless charging and bluetooth audio so that it works with the original headunit. I could perhaps send you one if you were interested?
Hi there, thanks for getting in touch. Your holder sounds intriguing and ingenious, I am curious to know how the bluetooth works and what it looks like.

I got it from ebay I think, I had to slightly tweak the three middle mounting points, by adding rubber bushes to take up the gap, they also help with flexing if there are speed bumps. I added a rubber trim around the front too. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223910431910?_ul=UK&gclid=Cj0KCQjwio6XBhCMARIsAC0u9aEC_kYg0K_FkB56XqIxWuuUuux_dMZFHf2bTOnuVm0i-5tswTm_TRUaAnIrEALw_wcB
Hi there! Thank you for explaining this.. I’ve been trying to research as my phone hasn’t been discovering the car but my car can discover my phone and this is the closest I’ve come to resolve the issue.. what should I do in case the phone that comes with is an old Nokia model?
Hi Steve, Congratulations for what you are doing, I follow you with great interest!! Please, I also have a question: Once I have connected the iPhone to this module, can I also play music from the iphone? Or only to be able to call and be called from the iphone? Thank you for your support in advance.
Hi there, the Bluetooth Mercedes module is only capable of phone calls but works great, it does not have A2DP Bluetooth which is for music streaming. However there are options to get 3rd modules to allow this. My other vids explain 👍
I just unplugged the built in Mercedes handset where other 2003 models have a cradle. Is there a Mercedes Bluetooth thing that fits into the slot where the phone came out ? Unsure how to send a photo here. Thanks again for all the info !!

Hi what car do you have? If you don't have the old phone connection, then you won't be able to use the Bluetooth adapter. However you can use a Bluetooth module called LA Power or Mr 12V that come with hands free calling via a mic. The most basic method is a cheap Bluetooth FM transmitter too
