Not related to this particular video, I just needed to stop by and say that I’m in my 8th day of listing daily (so only 8 listings) and I made my first sale!!!! I was fully prepared to not make a single sale for at least a couple months. I was having a pretty crap day but this really brightened it!~
Should the photos reflect the season or holiday? If a tote bag for example sells all year should you change your thumbnail photo to a more seasonal background?
Hi Rhonda, no, only work on seasonal photos/videos/SEO/copy for listings that are created for that season.
Thank you for the great info. This year will be my first Christmas on Etsy. I have already started preparing my designs. I believe that I will be successful thanks to your information.
Wonderful! You're welcome, all the best!
Great info - thanks! I have never gotten a straight answer about whether to leave Christmas listings up, but now I know!
No problem Heath, yes it never gets talked about!
Thanks Nik super helpful.
No problem!
Always great info! Thank you! I decided to leave my Christmas items in all year, and I've tweaked and paired down some of them to make things more streamlined in terms of making the items but also in looking at my listings, not seeing almost the same exact necklace over and over. Hopefully all that pays off this holiday season.
Thanks for the Sub! Wishing you all the best!
Great advice, thanks so much!
Glad it was helpful!
Love the new intro!
Thanks for letting me know!
Thank you for great info. Do you think that when we deactivate listings which ain't working well for a while and we decide to deactivate them. Does it make our shop getting low views for those days? I have watched your videos and according to that I am now turning off those listings which hasn't performed well for a year. But now it has affect my views. What are your thoughts?
The Christmas retail season is going to be very short this year, with Thanksgiving on November 28. I think we need to encourage people to shop early.
Hi there, thanks for sharing.
What about calendars? I just deactivated my 2024s which sold pretty well, because I set up the 2025s....
List back down onto the old calendars that sold, change the photos, titles, tags, descriptions, any price changes, you have to do this before you deactivate ideally.
@@etsyconsultant I don't understand what you mean by 'list back down' but I've certainly kept all the details from last year's listings that sold. Thanks for the help!
Thanks for that Nick.
Just a question….
For example, i have a Robin gift set (purse and key fob). It sells all year, but is more appropriate at Christmas…. Should i add ‘Christmas gift’ ‘Christmas Robin’ or similar into title and tags??
Nothing in my shop is selling or even being seen, it’s driving me crazy I’ve tried everything now… is my shop fudged?

Do you think Christmas cards sell well on Etsy? Thanks 😊
Hey! I have just returned to Etsy to follow your 100 listings plan, my shop is very old, over a year of inactivity with a few listings that have been deleted, is it best to restart and open a brand new shop? Or continue with my old one?
What is the minimum of sales to not desactive a listing?
For Christmas stuff if it has 2 or more from last season, let it ride to the next Christmas.
If I make 4 different colors of one item should I have one listing with 4 color choices or 4 different listings?
Thanks.
4 listings with say less than a few hundred listing. Add an image in with them showing more options on the shop. Add variant other colour options to them later on. Listing volume mate. Numbers game. Brilliant channel this. Keep tabs on his videos: they will help you in some form x
Hi, it all depends on:
1 How many listings you already have in your store
2 What your capability is to create new listings
If you have the ability to create dozens, or hundreds of listings then just put them all in one listing (how it should be). If you are limited in capacity to create listings then you would list separately, but this is only for stores that cannot grow much.
Hey Callum thanks for your comment, good to have you here. See also my reply to the OP.
@@etsyconsultant Thank you. I've got 102 listings. So based upon your advice, going forward I will put variations in color only in the listings that I can create somewhat quickly.
I have 3 candle stores each with a different vibe. I am wondering though is it better to put 30 christmas listings in one store, then 10 in each?
I thought about getting into candles this year but hearing that I need to carry insurance put me off - is it complicated or expensive to carry?
@@hollyjustice9858 its about 50 a month. Not complicated.
Thank you Nick
Hi, this is not a straightforward answer, it depends on the performance of each of the 3 stores, feel free to book in for a mini consultation with me so that I can answer this correctly, link is below:

My shop sells digital designs in PNG & SVG file formats. I want to start selling physical products. Should I start a new shop?
