I made this cake on Sunday for my daughters 1st birthday after spending days searching for a recipe that seemed user friendly for someone that isn’t a regular baker but also has the WOW factor for the special day. It got rated 10/10 by family members , thought I’d let you know that your strawberry icing was the biggest hit and so many people wanted to know the secret. I’m always so nervous about making these cakes because although many people say don’t over mix, it seems almost impossible to over mix if you have to mix the color in after the initial mixing. Does the cake still come out moist and tender?

i had a question... when making this after you take it out of the oven, do u let it cool in the pan and then cut the top and sides off? or do u take it out of the pan right away? THANKS! :)
im so annoyed. i made a gender reveal cake recently for the ..gender reveal of my niece .. and i did exactly everything you did except the strawberry buttercream!!! that for sure would have been an absolute crowd pleaser!! urgh why didnt i come across this video beforeeee!! the cake i made turned out beautiful but just that extra flavour could have made it even more of a wow factor i think
