Trump's disastrous trade war with china caused tens of thousands of bankruptcies in America, steelworkers, ranchers, farmers, some people lost farms that had been in thier families for 150 years!!! Suicide rates in farming and ranching communities went skyward. Trade with china STILL needs work (thx to trump, we lost the trade war with china...BADLY!!) but there's where you need someone who knows what the hell THIER doing!!! We thought trump would be great in these situations, because THATS what he told us. We LOST hundreds of billions, and thousands of businesses went under...permanently, in Trump's failed trade war, we were only able to recover a mere 28 billion of the hundreds we lost, Trump's advisors told him to give that 28 to farmers and other injured business owners to help repair the damage, TRUMP REFUSED!!!! it took tremendous pressure, and a whole year to convince trump these people needed federal help, trump finally, RELUCTANTLY gave that 28 to these people, then he quickly tried to claim that it "was his idea the whole time!!"

Trump is a salesman so he if he says he made like 5 million when the exact number was 4.2 million it's part of his sales strategy, which is common. I'm not saying it's right but it's not nearly the same as saying "oh yeah, I had a server in my basement for sending personal messages about yoga and wedding plans." or "You re going to save $2,500 a year on Obama care and if you like your doctor and plan you can keep them." American's insurance policies doubled and tripled.
How does 3% of the population getting insurance make the other 97% pay 200-300% more? That's a 6,600%-10,000% markup on those 10,000,000 new insurance policies.
Obamacare was never meant to succeed, it was meant to push healthcare(16% of our GDP) into a socialized government controlled entity.

Mike Samra That economic boost and trend of decreasing unemployment has been happening since 2010, so try again. That being said, unemployment being low and wealth being created isn't always entirely indicative of the well being of the majority of people. Sure, jobs are being taken, but you have to take into account that many of those jobs are low paying jobs, where many people still require or will require government assistance to be able to live on.

I saw a lot of bankruptcies in Texas after the oil bust and had a bankruptcy myself. So many people were going bankrupt at the time, they were seeing us in groups rather than individually. It was like being at a funeral. People were crying. This is not an easy thing. It is a very sad moment in life to welch on debts and promises, but at least people can keep their house and car in Texas. Most people only go bankrupt once. I knew a relative who went bankrupt twice. That was the max.

This guy in the interview is incorrect on Canadian health care system. We have a public system (one that's not perfect but it works) but if we opt to go for private treatment we will have to go to the US.

The more Canadians repeat their system is "not perfect", the more I think their system is really shit. They all say its "not perfect"' so it's obvious they're hiding their true feelings.
There are other countries which still have optional supplemental insurance available for those who want Cadillac services (private rooms, etc).

The supplemental insurance is for things like medicine, dental, vision and physiotherapy. But if you go to your doctor or the hospital you don't get a bill. Unless you go by ambulance, they'll bill you for an ambulance.
