    Thanks a lot for the tutorial. I can play it now, but it's literally IMPOSSIBLE to sing at the same time. I've been trying for so long, I don't think I have that link in my brain that enables you to do it at this point.

    Hiya, Tim. I was wondering if you could please do a tutorial on, "Seneca Creek," by Charles Wesley Godwin. I haven't found any solid tutorials and it's a bit of a tricky song for me, but I've learned how to play a couple songs from you, and I like the way you teach. I'd really appreciate it!

    Tim, always the best lessons. I learn almost every one you post even if I am not familiar with the song. I was hoping you could check out Linda James by Nicholas Jamerson? The chords are simple, just got a tricky picking pattern I can't quite nail down.

    Thanks man for all the great tutorials. If you've got some time, I would really appreciate some help figuring out how to play A Better Rain by George Strait. It seems no one on youtube has a tutorial on how to play it like the recording. It would really mean a lot. Thanks in advance.

      I knew you meant it as a compliment because I remember you making positive comments in the past… but I also totally misread your post. I read it originally as “good lord this channel does not bring me comfort” and I interpreted it as you joking and meaning “I play these songs so much my fingers hurt” … it’s been a long day, and I’ve obviously lost my ability to read correctly, but I definitely interpreted it as positive feedback either way! Hahaha thanks!

    G chordwith the hammer in the C sure sounds like Last of My Kind by Jason Isbell? You play 1000 x better then I do and by no means I am as good as an instructor but may I suggest PINCHING during the alternating bass- I think that gives it that dragging note you talked about. Not sure however. Thx Tim happy 2023 (Pinching is King during Travispicking)

      @TimGuitarLessons  Год назад +1

      Happy new year Jasper!
      Definitely the same style of movement as Last of My Kind...
      I also agree with you that pinching would be a much more fluid motion for the pattern. That was my natural instinct when sitting down to learn the song, but there was something that just wasn't "matching up right" to my ear when I played it that way, so I went in search of a video of the songwriter playing it... this was how he fingerpicked the pattern in the intro (except he drug his second finger for two strings in sequence) using an alternating thumb and first finger to execute the travispicked 2 beat instead of thumb/pinch method typically used with travispicking

    Tim, thank you for the lesson: it helped me learn how to play the song. I even did my best dragging the middle finger like Cleto did. And, I translated the song in to Ukrainian as we love mountains as much as Cleto does) . If you find a moment to hear my version I'd make me happy : ruclips.net/video/6iYlIXwRarM/видео.html
