He probably improved his haki on the spot, which would boost all the other attacks, plus there were new attacks in this fight, we don't know if they are stronger. Probably he his new final attack is his second strongest right behind Ashura
That final 103 serpents move was a new advanced coq haki version of the move he used to beat Ryuma in Thriller Bark, it was supposed to be a parallel to that Monsters manga made by Oda where Ryuma beheads a dragon with that same pose.
What are you talking about ? He used the "King of hell" version of his attacks which is conqueror's haki coating in all his swords. This the strongest Zoro has ever been. (The only other time he was this strong was when he used conquerors's coating subconciousely when he injured Kaido).

The anime really outdid the manga, seriously kings magma dragons made me think he was aizen with the hado 99 5 dragon destruction 😂😂😂💀 toei got me smiling for king, the past ep he seemed slow and sluggish here he’s just laying it down, honestly u csn even say king didn’t go all out as he wasn’t in his hybrid form unlike queen 🤔 he did all that in his base 🔥

Notice how in kings flashback, he said I’ll make you the king of the pirates. But in zoro’s flashback, he already referred to luffy as the king of pirates, just shows the faith in his captain.

I think Zoro was talking about Luffy and Sanji when he said "I made a promise to my Captain and Best Friend." This could mean just Luffy but I think the promise he just made with Sanji on the den den mushi is the reason he said best friend.
He was talking about kuina his childhood friend who he promised to become the world's strongest swordsman. Also you could argue Luffy is more of his best friend than Sanji so either way that wouldn't make sense

King of Hell is the best title that can be bestowed upon Zoro after this fight. Our boi didn't disappoint same as the animators of this episode.
