Vintage quality watches such as Seamasters, are bulletproof, and truly made to last (you're holding it right now and it's still ticking), the amount of engineering and design that has been put into these little machine tools back in the time, is truly astonishing.
So to address your worry, if these watches get their proper service, they'd last more lifetimes.
This reference is one of the early Seamasters, and has a bullet proof 500 series movement with beautiful brass finish. The case is gold capped (a solid piece of gold on top of the case), and the dial has patinaed nicely and relatively evenly.
It's beautiful piece of pure design, class and engineering. Wear it in good health and enjoy it!

When you take it to your Watchmaker it might benefit from a dial clean. Looks awesome!

That vintage watch from the 80s you mentioned at 0:41 is a Credor, which is actually quite interesting if you look a bit into what Credor offers, (hint: 50 000$ watches)

Nice watch, I bought an Universal Genève Polerouter Jet recently. I think watches of this time period (50s-60s) are really well designed!

Nice find, where did you purchase from? I’m interested in getting a vintage seamaster at some point.

Looks mouldy. Probably had some moisture in it.

I’m sick of these kids acting like they can take a piece of history and ruining it. Leave it to the old folks!!!

He likes the watch, and he just started collecting. He paid for the watch. He said he was gonna take it to his watchmaker to fix it. How is he ruining anything? How is it a thing that only old people get to have fun with vintage things? That's not how it works.

You’ve commented on a few of this guys videos. Your either a secret fan or a deluded attention seeking jackass who’s live by himself for 30 years 😅
