Y’all sound just like SMU before they got beat. “This defense is good… but against garbage competition” 😅😂 You guys underestimate how good BYU is at night in Provo-they’re DAMN GOOD! That stadium is a LOT more intimidating at night and the defense is still completely healthy unlike last year’s team which was playing the 4th string safeties by the third game of the year. LES is loud, it’s crazy at night, their players are used to playing late, the altitude also makes a difference. I think BYU will play a close game, win or lose. BYU has a crazy record at home for night games over the last several years. Not saying they will win this one but I would look for a closer game than most expect.
I like how Andy Reid approaches a game on a weird day of the week, time etc, how they're willing to play anyone at anytime, in a parking lot, wherever. Point being, I hope we approach this game the same, embracing the start time, altitude etc.
I think you grossly underestimate Retzlaff, he was thrown into play last year with no prior experience and the last four games of BYU schedule which were also their toughest opponents for the year. Retzlaff was the number one Juco player in the country and holds all kinds of national records before going to BYU.... I think he is just lacked the experience but will really blossom given a little bit of time.
DY, if BYU has the ball and they are driving for the win at the end of the game. BYU will likely win. K-State's D will be gassed late in the fourth. That altitude will tell on them late in the game. BYU will not win in the trenches, offense or defense, even if they win the game.
