- In this segment of this week’s livestream, we welcome Hall of Fame quarterback Gifford Nielsen, BYU’s first inductee into the College Football Hall of Fame.
Gifford reflects on BYU’s recent win over Wyoming and offers his insights on Jake Retzlaff’s performance. He also shares his excitement about BYU’s entry into the Big 12 and recalls the last time Kansas State played in Provo, where he led the Cougars to a 39-0 victory in 1977.
Gifford also discusses how the role of the quarterback has evolved since his playing days and provides his keys to victory for BYU in their upcoming game against No. 13 Kansas State. He shares personal stories from his time in the NFL and his meaningful experiences during his recent LDS Church service in Africa.

Loved this video. Giff was the SP when I was in Houston. Chad Lewis had just finished his HOF career in Philadelphia when I went there in 09. Great work fellas, way to represent the church, byu and the Savior.
