Fel Reaver really is a fantastic card for teaching game mechanics. It's a shame Blizzard kept Magma Rager around, which was supposedly the only way new players would learn that one health is bad, but is essentially removing Fel Reaver, which teaches so much about card advantage, milling, tempo, and risk management.

In the tavern brawl I've a similar experience Krupp did with going against fel rever chromagus and playing shamen. My hand was far more ridiculous and was favored for me. Burn through the whole deck quickly.
Had two Fel Reavers carry an otherwise shitty warlock deck to 12-2 a couple days ago. The card is preeetty good.

Yesterday I met druid with Fel Reaver on play 5. I played tempo mage and about 20 cards was discarded by 1 turn.
The thing with felreaver is, sometimes your opponent focuses so much on trying to burn your cards, that they forget there is an 8/8 constantly hitting his face. By the time they realize theyre within lethal, theyre unable to remove your felreaver because of all the stupid plays they made trying to burn your cards

No, it doesn't.
Nope, those cards only work with cards discarded from your hand. The only neutral minion that trigger those cards is Deathwing.

Looks like Smiffy has changed the meta.
Kripp had a chance to win that last game if hero powered face and played the swords, then the following turn killed the 2/4 with the swords and buffed the taunt with the cleric so the fel reaver would die to a trade. But it depends what the last card was for his opponent.

fel reaver is the most OP card if you have a full board removal, cause u can bait your opponent into throwing all his cars out, then crush his dreams by wiping the board EZ game. such mind games are crucial in winning HS.

Fel druid used to be my main deck. Believe it or not I have made it to rank 5 in only 1 day using it.If people don't have an answer to a turn 3 fel reaver you usually win.

Why would anyone even put that in their deck, though? When you spend one card to draw one card, you gain nothing. It needs to have a secondary effect.

I still don't get why fel reaver is a good card. I know its an 8/8 for 5 mana, but the risk of losing your top three cards whenever opponent plays a card is too much. And knowing the bad RNG you get in Hearthstone, it's not worth it imo.
Turn 1 8-8 is gg, discarding card from you deck never matter in aggro deck where fell reaver shines
But turn 1 8/8 hardly ever happens.
Fell reaver is cute but its no match for me, i slay a firelord everyday and plan to slay all the old gods one by one
