My goodness you're a bloody legend. I have been struggling with this since i bought it. I knew there has to be a driver given it connects via USB but NI website shows "NO DRIVERS' for the MK3 yet there are drivers for every other piece of kit on there. How come it took a stranger to help me and not someone from NI? Thank you my friend, you're a terrific human being. I have created Mapped Controller for the Mikro MK3 and you're welcome to it if you want it.

Glad to be of assistance! Yeah, I also didn't get any help from NI. Contacted their support and they just said it doesn't need drivers etc. So I decided to make this so no one would have to live through the pain.

@@juhoturunen it's bullshit really isn't it. You spend a fortune on their stuff and the best help you get is from the other users.

    i don’t change any settings.
you can also press at keyboard mode instead pad mode at the mk3 and drag it to cubase to give you a single midi track

Great video and very clear. I’ve recently got the same set up as you. My conclusion after watching countless tutorials is that using maschine as a plug in is a pain in the ass and a creativity killer.
I think I may start my beat in maschine and if I feel it needs more or sounds/options I have in cubase I’ll move it there

I am happy you liked it and glad to be of help. I like maschine a lot but it has some flaws when used as a drum machine, for example arturia sparkle is better as drum machine. So far I like maschine, it can do lots of nice things. But I agree it's sometimes a real pain to use.

@@juhoturunen Yessir! But i had small issues! I wanna recording everything separately like Kik and snare and so on! However i record kik and after drag it to Cubase I delete it from Maschine so i can record snare ! The problem is that maschine record the kik back from Cubase! And for somehow couldn’t stop maschine from record it back from Cubase! Have u experience this issue! If so what u do for having everything separately kik , snare , hh ........ etc?

it misses the trick to export each drum part in different track and different audio channel to adjust easily volume and insert FX

To illustrate how completely *insane* all of this is, I only have to say one fraction of a sentence:
"Or just use any vst with any midi controller and everything just works."
And that includes stuff made in the 90's. The fact that you can't just open Maschine in Cubase and record it like any other vst instrument is the biggest gaslight I've seen in a long long time. Does Native Instruments not even know they have competition at all? If I'd known it was gonna be this "Want to record your tracks in your DAW? Cool, just spend a full week learning how, setting it up, trouble shooting it" bullshit I wouldn't have bought the Mikro. Wake up NI. Fix this. It would be so simple to just have the thing record. Literally EVERY OTHER VST INSTRUMENT DOES THIS.
