Just listen to that awesome tone of the Edge's Explorer and the Vox AC30. God DAMN I want a Vox AC30 NOW! I'll be getting one in the next few months and I can't wait!
well said walsh46217.if they didnt change they would be left behind in the 80,s.i dont like all their albums(mainly pop and zooropa)but they will always be original.other bands try and sound like u2 but they will never have as much stage presence or raw talent.long live u2
I want to add that I do agree that it's healthy for a band to move on to new things. I don't enjoy their last albums because i don't find myself in them. But obviously i can't expect U2 to base their records on my life. If they'd stayed making JT over and over then i might find this even worse. I like their early stuff because it fits in with who i am and what kind of music i like to hear. If people find as much or more value in NLOTH than they do in TUF than I can't argue with that.
U2 are still here..New Years Day in Seville 2010 was as beautiful as it was at Wembley Stadium in 1987...better than the Stones - by a mile -and the Stones are good!!

Notice what they are wearing, country atire. They actually wore disguises and played 2-3 country songs as their own opening act. I was there we didn't findout until the next day. 1987 in LA.
Exactly. Plus, it would bore the hell out of them. The bass line for "With or without you" is very simple, and I'm not a good musician. So they progress. After R&H they knew that a radical transformation was necessary which led to AB.
walsh46217 is 100% correct! U2 is like wine. They just get better and better! I love all their stuff from "Boy" through the new "No Line on the Horizon".
Listen up, being a life long U2 fan has made me realize people like you are like the chicks who used to complain that the Beatles stopped making songs like I wanna hold your hand. U2 at least tries to mix it up and not be stagnet. Just because they dont keep rehashing the Joshua Tree album after album doesnt make them any less then what they were 20 years ago. They have sold 130 million plus album twit. I think they know what they are doing.
He is too much of a punk to talk smack about Ireland. Just another internet tough guy who goes onto a video, and trys to harass fans of u2. Bit off more then he could handle. Erin Go Braugh
it starts off too slow, but Larry winds it up as it gets going. great song - a classic!

Great performance of U2 ! I have this full concert, and the syracuse too. The Joshua Tree Tour was one of the best tours of U2.
Not as good as Unforgettable Fire
My mum was at this concert

The Boy tour performances blow this away, in character and sound.
I saw them a couple of times on this tour and they didn’t play this. I’d have lost my freakin mind.
One of U2's best, most underrated songs.
I was there.....I love this band...
this song fucking owns pumps me up everytime i listen to it
love this song, classic in every sense of the word
I was there that day, people who criticised needed to be there, shout your mouth.
u2 can only dream of writing songs like that now
U2 RULES!!!! THE BEST BAND IN HISTORY OF MUSIC!!!

Saw them the night before in LA ... Bono voice sounds horrible
If you're going to equate album sales to musical genius then that would make Brittany Spears and Justin Bieber musical gods. Clearly, they're not.
w0y1z92753 no joke
Used to think they were great but they were always on the make...pay yer feckin taxes!!!
government wastes money u2 have raised billions for the poor what have you done but complain www.equip.org
