Kayo and phoenix don’t count toward kills. However, 8k is still possible since sage can res multiple times in one round.
clove will absolutely change the meta; being able to support your team whilst you're dead, the utility to make fights tons easier than other agents, and a free revive. absolutely ridiculous, nerfs will definitely drop very soon after release
I can see one of the nerf would be the smoke after dying wont refresh, and maybe even shorter smoke duration

I think riot said the "3rd character won't be a classic duelist/smoke/initiator", and so this is that character I suppose.
Also, their abilities are not that great.
Nah the q is worse than most controller’s q, the smoke is nothing special (it’s the worst smoke in the game) but it can be placed after death, the c only lasts 10 seconds, the ult is on several timers that forces you to play aggressive (which can be countered by playing passive). It’s a pretty balanced hero design.

Such a nice character, i will for sure have a problem over who to main now since i still enjoy Iso and Fade a lot but Clove is freaking awesome as well
As an Omen main, I'm kinda torn right now. Clove is great at a duellist-controller hybrid playstyle, but I personally like omen for the shroud and paranoia combined with the smokes which can set both me and my team up for entries and frags.
The smokes after death seem like it would be more of an Omen thing instead of this character.
Idk man, I would expect a pretty decent nerf to clove a couple weeks into the update

Coincidentally, I was talking to a mate how Phoenix is a very noob-friendly agent because his kit is simple. His ultimate gives him a second life which is really good for new, returning or long time players. Clove is now Phoenix, but a Controller.
Her kit is also super simple and funnily now has a second life. She can still be impactful after death, which is game changing for aggressive players.
i don't think she's noob friendly tho?
Clove seems like a agent I would recommend to a new player so they can always get some sort of value

C - It will give 75/60/50 overheal rather than 100
Q - It's radius will get lowered
E - The smokes will have higher cooldown Or lower activation time when dead
X - It's still balanced as you have to get a frag to stay revived. But still tbh they can lower the time to get a frag.

not true, as you can see at 0:48 around then it won’t give you more than 150 health. it doesn’t always give 100
She can’t survive a vandal headshot, did you pay attention to the video? The C ability should stay without that nerf, the overheal lasts 10 SECONDS. The radius of the decay might get nerfed, but imo I think it should be less than 90 decay instead. The smokes don’t need a higher cooldown though, they’re already the worst smokes in the game that are only special since they can be used after death.

When she will be playable?
clove is meant as a first entry controller: due to res duelists can bait her into site and her util being geared towards just running at people, spending it all, dying or getting a frag and healing and repeating the process. There is almost 0 consequence to your clove dying on first entry as long as A. 2nd entry gets refrag or B. clove gets a kill and continues rampaging through site.
The reason I usually pick Omen or Breach is that they offer a ton of teamplay value, but can play for themselves as well. Clove will definitely be a nice addition for me.
she literally supports my playstyle so well. i mostly just hold a judge and play around my smokes. obviously sometimes my play doesnt work and i die early but she is my perfect agent.

One thing that really bothers me is her C.
I mean why make a smoker have a heal, and just one.
In my opinion they should have made it so she can recharge her afterdeath smokes with her C and kills. This way she is a Duelist heavy smoker and not a hybrid.
Clove is now the sole reason why I’m now into playing controller, just like chamber they’re a mix of offence and defence but this time without making clove busted in any way unlike what happened when chamber was first released
She seems like a good agent for someone like me who likes to play controllers but also likes to play agressive. Nothing worse then when I am the agressive one as controller with my main viper or any other controller :D

Reyna is still better if you purely want some aim fight, since she has 2 heal, and/or the dismiss isnt on ult
For 1v1’s Reyna’s still better. She has a flash, and her heal heals her heath first then over shields. Clove has her overheal, but she doesn’t heal her actual heath from it meaning if you don’t get in a gunfight while it’s active then it doesn’t do much for you.
For fragging out with Multi-kills Reyna’s again better because of the 2 heals, that give over shield + health as well as her dismiss that can allow her to play aggressive then back up.
The real Power-creep is Omen and Brim. Orb smokes from anywhere on the map like omen, Quick placement like brim, and smoking from the dead.
Before if your smoker got picked off on attack the round was basically lost. Now? Doesn’t mean much.
Reyna has dismiss, a flash, and multiple heals in a round that each last longer than clove’s one heal.
@@personperson8563 omen and brim still has stopping power. While clove can only heal and smoke(the decay bomb looks unreliable for me). brim other utility is pretty clear very strong, Maybe only omen is going to be replaced since his ult is pretty meh

She's a duelist-controller for sure. Which is good, finally a pick for when someone takes my Omen.
I feel like she more fit for duelist than controller, as her move set and play style is more rush than helping control site.
But she dont have any entry power without ult. She's pretty much 60% controller, 40% duelist

@@DenTRM i think the flexibility in his skills was the reason why, tp from A to B, defend both sites wasnt an ability that every agents have, even with yoru u can only tp once. old Cham can defend site but the utilities also allows him to trade kills then dissapeared immediately as Jett tho. His guns useed to be the worst nightmare in pro plays

i actually think it would just make iso and dl pick rate go down instead of sage cause revive and impenetrable cover( for a few second/ also a boost) is alot more needed. and you can always swap a duelist than a utility. while dl is dl and dl gonna dl.

In my squad my friend and I are better then the rest, so we have to lock in duelist to carry but my fav character has always been Omen.
With this char I can still run in like a duelist die, or heal after the fight and if I die I can still smoke. Definitely going to be my new main unless she gets nerfs that make her unplayable. But even with smokes from dead she’s now a must in the squad

It’s just a bunch of agents utilties combined. First overheal like Renya. Second smokes like brimstone since they go anywhere and then fade decay. Also sage revive but only to her self.

I think Clove's smoke will get a nerf. with a death thing. Maybe add a condition.
Like you can only smoke while you are dead when your ultimate points are full. If you use up your ultimate you cant smoke while you are dead. This MIGHT balance things out a bit. But also would make her too niche.

im not non binary but im super happy for all the people that got represented with the addition of clove to the game's roster. valorant is a huge game and it's very cool to see riot use their influence to raise awareness for different communities, from different ethnicities to sexualities and genders.
