I've gotten around this by making 2-3 decks simultaneously, with priority.. 1 - actively look for cards 2 - actively look for cards when bored of the 1 3 - passively look for cards (list it down or get it only when convenient)
Bruh i was working on this one deck for a year (*still working on it i swear) and have been stealing parts from it to make other decks. Been needing to focus and get it done, but their are so many decks i want to build with at this point.
100% would like to see the full process including cuts, etc. really enjoyed that. I thought I knew how to use Scryfall well but had never used oracle tags before 👌
Great Video! I was excited to see your approach to building and I will say personally I would love to see a video where you go through cuts and decision making of what is in and out on the final decklist.
Excellent video ! I passed it the first time because of the miniature, but what a good one ! I would love to see the follow up : cutting cards, to get from like 300 to 100 ! Have a nice day, bye !
give it Myriad even though the copies sacrifice themselves, you get the ETB's... its fun... and of course time sieve basically lets you with the game with infinite turns
I literally just finishee building my deck for Kenrith and came to the channel to check out your kenrith video only to find this primer to be more important
Cool you're making this deck and deciding to blink some stuff, I just threw together a blink deck with brago as my commander. And it has to have moonshaker cavalry, venser, then a tamiyo moon sage and omniscience combo.
@@alexanderficken9354 if you flicker moonshaker by himself, then make a giant brago, you can swing with a giant brago. Moonshaker is there as a win con. That can pop off being flickered.
im missing the step you ask yourself "whats fun to play?/what do i like to play?" maybe even "what are my petcards that i want to put in?" that should be the first step at all, cause what does it matter if you throw those decks away or worse keep them but dont have fun with them.
@dustin89clanton ikra and ishai. The deck is a voltron like deck via mutate. The blink is for protection through etb effects. Last resort I blink the mutate creature and that's not so bad for a last resort. I have alot of card options and I am in the cutting phase of building
@dustin89clanton thank you that is definitely going in the deck. I'm only 2 years into magic. Not too familiar with every card but there are alot of options for this deck. I'm mainly searching on edhrec and building from there.
I like this kind of video, but I started to tune out when you went through the process of finding cards for each aspect of your commander, which made it feel more like a deck tech for a deck I'm not interested in. If you focus on things most commander decks share or use a different example deck for each aspect then it might highlight how repetitive the video format is for someone not building that exact deck.
Or, you could take this video as an experimental template (which is the intended purpose) for any commander you are interested in building. This isn’t a Tivit deck tech, this is “well if I was gonna build this for the first time and choose an overall avenue to go down, these are the things I would add to the list to beat serve that purpose”.
i'm not sure how i feel about this episode being about Tivit. i feel like you could had made this episode alot shorter by picking an interesting mono color commander option.
Here's my input. I kinda got bored 18 mins in and stopped the video to make this comment. Then I'll be going on to another video. Hope it becomes a popular video style for you though. Just not for me
This is a great video. Now I just need to finally commit to a new commander instead of bouncing back and forth between 5 different ones.
The struggle is real

Ugh, totally get it. Doesn't help that the thing I want to do (Strands of Night) doesn't exist in commander form, so... gotta work around that.
Damn I have 50 custom decks and still feel like I need more....smh

Wasn't aware of the "oracletag" in the query, thanks!
This great. Didn’t know these things existed. Plus, I like how it lets us know how you think about cards and how you go about making a deck.

Dude, this is great, you have changed the game!
always great to see other ways to build decks 10/10

Tivit’s such an awesome commander. Probably in my top #3

Moonshaker cavalry might not work the best with Brago, right?

Cool video! Wanto to see more. How do you cut cards. How do you test the "final" deck (before you do more changes hahaha)...
I love this and also I use rivulets abs actually don't mind opponents voting for me to investigate cause of tamiyos journal
This is a fantastic video thank you Mitch!
Nice video! very informative.
I'm building a blink deck with etb effects. How many blink spells do I need to make it work properly?
What’s the commander?
yes

Could you please make a deck on imodane the pyrohammer? It would be greatly appreciated
You have amazing eyebrows
There is a 6$ card that would be perfect for this… Time Sieve.
