My Stag used to sound like this too until the head gasket went. Now the engine is fully stripped and needs a full rebuild. Love the Stag in Inca Yellow..
Yes it is absolutely sir! The exhausts are stainless steel fitted some time back in the mid 1980's (before 1985) as I have 35mm slide photos taken then and there fitted in those pics. Since this video, my father has since passed away and the car is now in my loving care.
@@djtaylorutube I’m very sorry to hear that! My father has a Stag too with the exact same exhaust and same colour! I’ve never heard it run sadly the engine is in pieces in our garage this will be the third time it’s had to be rebuilt! I hope one day to hear it run for myself!
@@JoshCook15 Thanks for your comment. He had a good run and we remember that. The car has been in the family now for 44 years and no plans on that changing any time in the future, my son has already decided that. I hope you get your engine rebuilt soon, listening to a Stag burble is the most fun you can have below 30mph :)
Boy this stag is a proper growler & sounds very angry but I absolutely love that sound the burble brings music to my ears

That sounds fantastic! 😍
Is this the standard 3 litre V8 from triumph?
