Too bad that logic kinda falls apart because this is how almost any meeting with a new NPC goes. So many of them immediately invite you into some sort of group with almost no knowledge of our player besides he exists. I suppose that kind of makes sense because there are only like 10 regular humans (and not beasts or fucked up anthropomorphic eldritch horror) on the entire continent

I’m not sure if I’d call the Rogeir quest encounter angry, she seems more annoyed that you figured out her past plans. Like when you think you’re being clever and someone outsmarts you. It’s similar to (trying to avoid spoilers) her tone when you find her inhabiting another body.

I suspect that's why you when you release Blaidd from the Evergoal he talks of needing to take care of a traitor. Given that Seluvis was actually a puppet controlled by the Albanauric Pidia, the location of the amberstarlight shard he has you retrieve, and Miquella becoming the champion of the Albanaurics I think he might have been a agent working for Miquella the whole time I mean talked Lorreta into siding with him over the Carians its not crazy to think he might have done the same with Pidia/Seluvis too.

On my first play through I sorta just waltsed over there mostly through happenstance, I met Blaid in the Mistwood, helped him with the Everjail Hound problem, then told to mention his name if I ever met a smith named Iji. Sure enough along my exploring of Liurnia i decide to check out the marked manner on the map and on my way find Iji, mention Blaid to him, and he hooks me up with that Carian Filligri Bling while warning me of the danger ahead. Undetered explorer I was, I went right in, died a few times, and then after beating Lauretas Ghost Summon made it to Ranni's Rise. So I always imagine between Blaid, Iji, and the Spirit Caller Bell interaction, she was decently aware of who I was and thought "Well since you're here and already acquainted with everyone, want to lend a hand?"

Theres another unique interaction if you meet blaidd and ijii and then kill radahn to open up nokron and get the finger blade- once you go to meet her shell be very welcoming sensing the knife on you, and admire your ability to beat the general and retrieve the knife. Shes a lot less dismissive and the act has you automatically entering her service i think
That'd be cool, but it seems that FromSoft didn't want to let you be creative in that way becasue chest the fingerslayer blade is in won't even open without talking to her here first
Her original body was pretty much like Malenia height so it was a big change imagine being 6,4 all your life then changing to 5,8 anyone would feel uncomfortable
It's funny that she gives you the inverted statue regardless of how you start, but makes so much more sense if you first do Rogier's questline. It's interesting to wonder about how FromSoft designed and playtested the game, to the point where maybe the bias of knowing all the secrets made it seem like people were more likely to do Rogier's questline first? Interesting how it turned out, I remember by the time I was finished with the game I didn't even know the dialogue of her admitting to being behind the Night of the Black Knives existed.
If you go along with selvis’s scheme and attempt to give her the amber draught to make her your puppet she gets angry kicks you out of her service and if you insist on talking to her I think 3 times after that she instantly kills you.

If I remember correctly, you cannot meet her if you kill Blaidd early, the tower is empty. Also, Blaidd doesn't die: he keeps coming back. If you attack him in Mistwood he vanishes and when you next come there after resting, he's been resurrected and attacks you on sight. This keeps happening as long as you take celestial dew and repent, which resets the quest.
Guarantee Doll Ranni is a previous version of her before meeting the Tarnished. Only way to explain how hostile she was after normal Ranni was so grateful to us for service.

She's done evil for the sake of good. As for Iji, Everything about the black knives are mysterious. I don't think Ranni can control them, they were just co-conspirators at the time. For instance why is Black Knife Tiche in a gaol in effectively Ranni's territory? (moonlight altar plateau). And why do they seem to have ultimate loyalty to Marika? "The assassins that carried out the deeds of the Night of the Black Knives were all women, and rumored to be Numen who had close ties with Marika herself." That assassin isn't necessarily loyal to anyone.

Its very hard to do Raya Lucaria manor before talking to Rogier. since it's hard to find Ranni before talking to Rogier.

as far as i remember if you assault iji or blaidd before meeting ranni, she will not be at her tower.
Neither she, nor Iji will be present
You can kill blaid after the radahn fight so he stays there reappearing, you can easily farm the dog boy
