The scenery along this bike trail really looks fantastic. The stonework, the old buildings, national park sites and then the beauty of the water.

I agree, it’s hard to find all that in one trail and for 185 miles. So much to see. Take care

The weather was so beautiful and tranquil that day, and everything seemed so serene. It was hard to juxtapose that day's journey with the horrific events that actually took place at these sites.

Yes even Harper’s Ferry had seen all lot of fighting. I wish there weren’t so many lanternflies. In hindsight s I wish had had stopped at the cemetery.

Another great bike day. Dang though poor guys has to have shoes. That railroad bridge was a cool one. It was interesting hearing about that battle sounded horrific so much history on our lands that we don't know about. Bloody lane and the observation deck and that lower bridge we will have to remember to stop by when in the area one day. Made for a very interesting bike rode to be able to ride along national parks and canals is amazing! Thx for sharing well done !😊

The shoe saga has a twist, stay tuned for the shoe ferry. The C&O canal and the B&O railroad were built at the same time. The former B&O is now CSX Transportation. There is a ton of railroad history on this trail. It would be impossible to visit Antietam without appreciating the sacrifices that the soldiers made. It’s truly hollow ground. You would enjoy this area and that Harpers Ferry KOA. Appreciate your comments and have a Happy Thanksgiving. 🦃

@kennrenner thanks so much for your terrific support of the channel. This series has brought me past the 1000 Subscribers mark and you have been here supporting me for most of the way. I can’t thank you enough for all the terrific support. Day 4 is in the works and the shorts preview is loaded for Tuesday. I’m also working on the Wildcat-Carter-Moriah-Traverse backpacking video. Thanks so much for the Thanksgiving card! We spent time with our extended family at my parents house. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
