Looking into going through AFF training and this helps a lot. I’ve grown up my entire life afraid of heights and that’s my motivation to go through with this. The videos are awesome man. Keep it up 👍🏻
I'm personally still afraid of heights, I only have 10 jumps under my belt so far though. My first AFF jump was the scariest by far in the plane, once in the door I was completely at ease. I overthink things a lot, and skydiving has shown me sometimes being wrong is the most amazing thing. I had/have things I had to get right in my life, but this year I'll make it onto solo. I love it more than anything Ive ever experienced, and met some of the greatest people too.
Just discovered your channel recently and I'm glad I did. I will do my first tandem in April and considering doing the AFF afterwards. Your videos are inspiring, informative and have a nice energy!
@@marcmarc406 I completed AFF, I didn't even have to repeat any jump. After that I did a few jumps on my own, and then I stopped. I'm not sure why. I'm trying to understand If I want to start jumping again but I'm very conflicted. Anyway, awesome experience, I learned a lot about myself doing it, would do it again.
@@censacrofwas going to do level 1 aff before I got hurt in a car accident. Thinking about going back but I remember having really bad fear before I went up, it feels different than a tandem. Any advice???
The first time I jumped for some reason I didn’t have fear I was just overwhelmed with excitement, so I didn’t really have to do deal with it and the scariest thing that happened to me was My first surgery on my stomach. And I feel accomplished when I overcome fear. Love these questions bro there awesome 😁
Thank you so much for the support! It’s amazing that you overcame something as serious as that. You have every right to feel accomplished after what you’ve been through. I’d like to hear more about it if you are willing🙏🏼
👍🏻👍🏻 Thank you ;) (Finished my AFF since my question, and it was lot of stress but now I’m having a lot of fun. Can’t wait to progress in the sport ! 🤗) Edit : the wind tunnel helped me a lot knowing I can be rock solid stable even before climbing in the plane.
Hey, Sal! Love your videos. I started following your channel with the "how to pack" video. Loved it. I'm an A license Skydiver (almost getting my B license) and would love to see a video talking about how to understand better the Jump Run. I know it's a more "technical" content but I do appreciate your way of explaining stuff. Don't know if it would be cool to have a DeLand pilot on it or whatever, but it would be nice to understand better. Thank you for sharing such amazing videos and inspiring content. You Rock, Bro! P.S: saw one of the amazing skydivers from Brazil on one of your videos (he's a freefly coach, AFF instructor and all here in our main DZ from São Paulo - National Parachute Center in Boituva) he's known as Cotô! Great guy! Anyways! Thanks for the reply on the RUclips comments and for being such an amazing human! Cheers
I may consider that for a future video, but in my opinion it’s simple. The plane flys into the wind. the jump run is drawn up everyday and posted at manifest. It’s the planes path to give the jumpers the greatest chance of landing in the landing area. Love Coto, dudes a ripper and extremely humble. I had no idea he was such a big deal but a bunch of people have recognized him! Representing Brazil!
@@SalvadorChangg thanks, Bro! That's it. I was just wondering if there's an easy way to identify early on the ground (without the manifest info) the possible jump run. As I'm new to the sport and the responsibilities increases as you progress I'm always observing the operation to try and make more sense of it. Like make a good spot at the door and be more aware of the situation as a whole. Thanks for replying, man! Yeah! Coto is a great guy and sure is a big deal in the sport. And the fact that he's really professional and also a great guy, humble and generous with everyone makes him even more special. Cheers Bro! Blue Skies. YEEEY! 🤘⚡🪂
I’m a Brazilian- American who just did my first jump and I already have my second one lined up for July so that I can vet my 21st anniversary in America . I’ll cough up this money and take classes and everything. I love fear . I thrive during fear
Second aff jump when I got the spins. I was in a deep depression and I did something that made me uncomfortable so I jumped for the first time, it literally changed my life.
I’m always making videos. Just with my phone. I’m sure it’s not easy to make these videos Changanator. I’ve always wanted to ask so many people this same questions. I admire your content, motivation and positivity. Thank you for inspiring me to keep pushing forward throughout MY own fears. See you at the DZ! 🤟🏼
Fear is a result of a lack of knowledge. The best way to overcome fear is through education. Knowledge coupled with rehearsals to develop muscle memory, make overcoming fear much easier. 👍🏻
I need to interview you… like just sit, us have a convo and let people here what you have to say. When can we set that up? I think it would be a great convo and would help a ton of people. Love your outlook and energy and know the people would too!
I only got 17 jumps so far. After the winter break and 6 months without jumping I've saved enough money for summer. I'm not gonna lie, i'm a bit anxious but the excitment takes over. To make sure I didn't forget everything I did 6 min of indoor, to my surprise I wasn'"t totally trash x) good enough to open safely I guess. When the door will open, my brain will hate myself but i'll just take the leap and enjoy what comes next. I agree it's important to overcome your fear and when you do, it will so great guys.
Great video... I was supposed to do level 4 aff this morning but I canceled at the last second. I know I will be back up there,, but trying to figure out why I. Didn't jump today.... like I said, this video helps!
I’m sorry to hear about your level 4, you’ll get there as long as you have the motivation. I wish you the best of luck on your future endeavors and I’m very happy to hear that this video helped you.
I agree with the Dude who said "first wingsuit jump". By that time I knew what could go wrong and I was peeing my pants. During the jump I panicked, and thought OMG! I'm way too low! Then looked at my alti.........yeah.....still at 9000'
@@SalvadorChangg I jumped mostly at skydive Texas ranch in Decatur Texas it's closed now . But I also jumped at eagle flight in grabdbury Texas and the Terrell Texas airport and at skydive today in McKinney Texas. For me is… well what is fear Lol 😂 I’m joking probably just a feeling or a trigger that tell you your unsure of something or just the feeling of the unknown. Anyways nice video I really enjoyed it, Btw I hit my head on ice and got hit by a slead on Thursday last week and I got knocked out Lol 😂

Ways to overcome fear 1. Look at it like you're jumping into water 2. A parachute is more reliable than a airplane no fuel required no moving parts . 3. Believe it'll go smoothly 4. Remember there's no such thing as a perfectly good airplane and get out of the damn thing 5. Be more afraid of chickening out and how you'll feel about yourself .if you don't do it . 6.believe you can fly 7. True happiness is that moment right before you pull your ripcord 8. Remember God puts fear between you and the best things in life 9. Know this all your fears leave once you're out of the plane and that's a fact. 10 . I was dead for billions of years before I was born and it didn't effect me in the least 😁 ( joking ) you're not going to die from skydiving . A car wreck is much more likely
