My teacher was so shocked when I said that Boccherini's Minuet (piece 12 in book 2) was much much easier for me than Minuet in G Major by Beethoven. It's just the 4-note hooked bowing that is insanely challenging for me, as well as the frequent switching between C natural and C#. The playing of A# with the first finger and B natural with the second is also a bit weird. Been playing for about 6 months, I just found this channel and it's helped me a lot; thank you so much for putting in the time and effort to make these videos
This is the exact track on the disc at the back of my Suzuki book my mum would put on for me to listen to during bedtime when I was 8/9 years old!!!! I just turned 17 a few days ago and decided to pick up the violin again- so glad I stumbled on this!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for this beautiful recording :)
Wonderful! It is such a lovely piece, and there are a lot of tricky spots in it in both hands, so just take your time to practice it slowly, you can do it!🎻😊🦋
My little one who studies viola play along with your video too. We really appreciate your work! Hope you can make examples for viola student too in the near future! Thank you!
How wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing your appreciation🙏 I am working on little tutorials, and hope they will help your little one as well, and will think about the viola examples too! All the best for you and your little one!
Thank you so much for having this video I now have a new teacher and she is not helpful at all so keep up the good work! Edit:so I’m thinking about doing another violin song on my channel, but I don’t know which song I should do,book one or book 2, so I can help me by choosing one?
Glad its helpful! And I am sorry to hear that your new teacher isnt so helpful, what it the problem there? With regards to your channel, I would choose the song that you play best or that you enjoy the most:-)
Yes, the 1/2 position is tricky. Make sure you move your entire hand down for it, and then the entire hand back in to 1st position and practice it slowly without the slurs! Hope that helps you!
You’re the best demonstrator of these pieces that I’ve seen. Your dynamics, bowing technique…so beautiful, clean and enjoyable. I love just having your playlists going. You wouldn’t consider doing Suzuki book 4 pieces, would you? It’s where I’m aimed at for the near future. I’d love to have exemplars from you.
Thank you, this is very much appreciated! Book 4 in slow practice tempo is actually next on my list of videos to make along with some tutorials on separate technique work:-). I would love to get your feedback on those as well... that's new territory for me😊. Thank you for watching and for your lovely comment🙏 and all the best for your practice!🎻
@@violingardenacademy I am so excited for your new content! I would love to see the additional skills material too. The gap is real between the two books. 🫣 Thank you for all you post!
Hi again! I have uploaded all of Book 4 (except the Bach Double Concerto which is coming up next) in SLOW practice tempo now, and hope they will be of help to you🎻🌷 Wishing you all the best for your practice!
You are so welcome! Have you seen the playlists on my channel with all of the pieces in books 1-3 in slow practice tempo? I would love to hear what your experience is with them! All the best for your practice!

Thats wonderful! I am so glad to be of help to your practice! You can also find all the pieces in slow practice tempo, which might be helpful to you when you learn a new piece! Wishing you all the best for your violin journey! Blessings from Vienna!
Keep up the practice, and make sure you practice slowly! You can find this piece in a slow practice tempo on my channel as well, and slow practice is one of the main keys to success! And btw, when I learned it the first time in childhood, it didnt sound like that:-) Practice over a long period of time makes it sound more and more beautiful, and you can do it too!
Oh dear! What part is the most challenging? Do let me know, I will be making tutorials soon, and this would be helpful information! Thank you for watching and all the best for your practice!!
This song is very hard to me and because I switched to a new teacher you’re really helpful because my teacher isn’t that helpful keep up the good work and your the best ❤❤❤❤ Edit: which song should I do next for my channel book 1 or 2 and which song?
Someone used this as background music for a video of how to make trimethyl borate, which is a substance that can be used as a lighter fluid but burns with a green flame!
Lol:-) Sounds like you really dont like this piece! I like making up stories about the pieces, that brings more understanding to it, and helps you with the expression of it! Can you think of a good story?
