You say you're bad at explaining this, but you truely aren't. I've watched quite a few Procreate tutorials, as I really want to learn how to draw digitally, and so far, this has been the most comprehensive, userfriendly beginner video I have seen. I already understood the basics of layers as I do a lot of Photoshop. You can explain it as more than one see through page on top of the other. Kind of like acetates. Thank you very much for this video. And I love your art.

I believe the curves control the shadows, white balance, saturation, etc. you explained it well. When you make the points it’s easy to feel out. Great video

I like the elements of the original, like the seam and edges of the sketchbook left after you colored the image. Beside that you did a great job, I got to learn some neat tricks about coloring in Procreate, thank you! God bless:-)

I just got procreate today and you made coloring so much easier for me. Thank you so much for labeling each step. You literally made my life so much easier 💕
I learned the correct pronunciation of gouache. In all seriousness, not only did I learn that though but I also learned that that paint is a seriously great way to do colouring. I'd been opting for solid colour fills with shading on top but this is a much more effective way to make a lively shade for a drawing!

reveriegguk The Apple Pencil is expensive for a reason, and _not_ just because of the name. The iPad was specifically developed to work with the Apple Pencil, so of course it’s going to be the best. Yes, there are alternatives, but from my experiences none of them were quite as good.

after 2 years of self learning, im pretty good with procreate and the apple pencil (to the point that I no longer use pencil and paper), and yet I learned a lot from you. Even tho I managed to get the same effects of lighting by using other methods, your methods seem easier and more streamlined.. i will try it thanx.. and I could never do a video like this because my process is so much trial and error that i may confuse ppl more than helping!

Even though I don't have an iPad or Procreate, it's on the same idea as the tools on Photoshop. I didn't really know that when you turn down the opacity, it makes the shadows look realistic. I'm definitely going to do that from now on. It was really helpful. And I love your drawing. It looks like Rapunzel when her hair turns very bright and it looks like it's coming out of the page. 😁

I’ve used the curve for photo editing (on Snapseed) many times to remove fog from overcast pics, it’s basically the single most powerful feature for photo editing so I’m looking forward to using it on Procreate
I use an Ipad 7th gen, which is 10.2 inches but it works wonderfully and saves a few hundred. I got mine for a little over 400, and it has 128gb of space and works very well with the apple pencil and procreate! Mine was on sale, it still very well could be on Amazon. This tutorial helps so much, I never even considered coloring directly off my sketches. I usually redo lineart then color. I need to try this for sure

A M A Z E D. I wanted to be just like you!! So I watched ALL your videos. I payed close attention to your art style and followed all your tutorials you had at the time. I started to attempt drawing like you! But, of course, I kinda failed... But I kept trying all day and all night! You inspired me so so so much to make amazing art like you! But, sadly, I found other RUclipsrs and forgot about your channel.... Later on, (about a year later?) I made a new account on RUclips. At the time I still was addicted to drawing and art thanks to you❤ I was actually pretty decent! I practiced so so much over that year. Then it was the year 2018! This year! But still had forgotten you
I started making Roblox videos on my channel. But I wanted to show everyone my talent. So I made my first art video! And then the next one and the next! I gained a small amount of views and subscribers. But then, I finally saw that one of my videos got over 100 views!! I was so excited! ( I still am) because I never knew I could have that many people see my art! So I made more videos and got more subs! But... Not a lot. Well, to other people. To me, it's was a lot. I never even thought I could get 30 subs!
And then finally, today, I found one of your videos on my recommendations. I finally remembered... My inspiration, my hope and dreams..... You. I had improved soooo much! Thank you so so so so much! Also, sorry I wrote so much!
